My Mythical Path to Immortality in Another World

Chapter 121 The Buddhist Scheme in the Havoc in Heaven

The problem is that Great Luo Golden Immortals are beings who obey orders but not commands in any power.

More importantly, a Great Luo Golden Immortal must undergo the Great Luo Golden Immortal Tribulation, which is an even more powerful tribulation than the Three Calamities.

Although it wouldn't be a problem for someone with Sun Wukong's background to pass through the tribulation of a typical Great Luo Golden Immortal, two problems arose.

Firstly, because of the peaches of immortality and the golden elixir, many of the three calamities of the gods were transferred to Sun Wukong. Therefore, the calamity of Sun Wukong becoming a Great Luo Golden Immortal would have a chain reaction with the cause and effect of the three calamities, making it countless times more powerful.

In other words, if Sun Wukong were to undergo a tribulation, it would be a disaster.

Guanyin Bodhisattva looked around and saw that the powerful figures in Heaven all had gloating expressions, so she knew that Heaven would not take action.

Therefore, he had no choice but to take matters into his own hands, and a figure dressed in a Taoist robe walked out from Guanyin's body.

This figure was none other than Cihang Daoren, the evil corpse among Guanyin's three incarnations.

Guanyin Bodhisattva was once a member of the Xuanmen Xuanmen Chanjiao sect, but during the Investiture of the Gods war, she was surrounded by the Three Immortals with the Nine Turns Yellow River Formation. She used the Hunyuan Golden Cauldron to eliminate the Three Flowers on her head and the Five Qi in her abdomen, causing her cultivation to fall from the peak of Taiyi Golden Immortal to the Xuan Immortal realm.

The Twelve Golden Immortals were destined to face a calamity from the gods. Although the Primordial Heavenly Lord transferred their fate to others, they still had to undergo a minor tribulation.

The removal of the Three Flowers and Five Qi by the Three Immortals meant that the tribulation was completely over and the harm of the Investiture of the Gods was overcome.

Cihang Daoren should have used this opportunity to re-cultivate himself and realize his true nature.

However, due to a lack of mental fortitude, he was lured by the Western religion and betrayed the Chan religion, joining the Western religion instead.

Later, the Western religion broke away from the Xuanmen sect, and Cihang Daoren became one of the Ten Bodhisattvas.

With the help of Buddhist fortune, he cultivated to the level of a Great Golden Immortal.

However, the karma of her transgression entangled her, so under the guidance of two Buddhist saints, Guanyin used the karma of transgression to eliminate the evil corpse Cihang Daoren and became a quasi-saint in Buddhism.

Although Buddhism claims to have three thousand Buddhas and countless Bodhisattvas, in reality, the three thousand Buddhas only correspond to the three thousand small worlds of Buddhism and do not reside on Mount Ling, but rather reside within the small worlds of Buddhism.

His cultivation level was actually just so-so. He was known as omniscient and omnipotent in the small world, but in the prehistoric world, he was only around the Golden Immortal realm.

There are countless Bodhisattvas, but they are only minor Bodhisattvas who serve the three thousand Buddhas.

In Buddhism, the truly great Bodhisattvas who are open to the public are only those at the Tenth Ground Bodhisattva level, and there are only ten who are called Lotus Platform Bodhisattvas.

These ten Bodhisattvas are actually only below the Seven Buddhas in status.

Especially Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva resides in the Netherworld and is known as the Lord of the Netherworld. However, due to his great vow that he will not become a Buddha until the hells are emptied, he never leaves the Netherworld.

Then there are Manjushri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who are known as the Four Great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism and are also the Bodhisattvas who appear most frequently in Buddhism.

Then there are the Peacock King Bodhisattva, who is known as the number one person below the sages in the Investiture of the Gods, the two Venerables Ananda and Kasyapa, the Sun Bodhisattva and the Moon Bodhisattva.

However, the three Buddhas of Buddhism reside in different places: the Medicine Buddha in the Eastern Pure Land of Lapis Lazuli, the Tathagata Buddha in the Central Saha World, and Amitabha Buddha in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Among the ten bodhisattvas, the Bodhisattva of Sunlight and the Bodhisattva of Moonlight reside in the Eastern Pure Land of Lapis Lazuli, accompanying the Medicine Buddha. The Bodhisattva of Peacock King and the Bodhisattva of Great Strength reside in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, accompanying Amitabha Buddha.

Although Ananda and Kasyapa reside in the central Saha world, they are always by the side of the Tathagata Buddha.

The Bodhisattvas who are truly open to the public in Buddhism are Manjushri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva.

Among the Four Great Bodhisattvas, Manjushri Bodhisattva is foremost in wisdom, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is foremost in supernatural powers, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is foremost in compassion, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is foremost in vows.

Because the Journey to the West began with the compassion of Buddhism to save the world, Guanyin Bodhisattva was in charge of the Journey to the West.

Although the Bodhisattvas of the Ten Grounds in Buddhism only attain the Taiyi Golden Immortal level, their cultivation is genuinely at the Quasi-Saint level.

Moreover, even if a Bodhisattva of the Tenth Ground perishes, their true spirit can be reborn through the attainment of that attainment.

However, their cultivation level will drop to the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm, requiring them to start over.

Leveraging this characteristic, Buddhism created the concept of all forms of manifestation.

That is, to use the body of a reincarnated true spirit to carry out the work of teaching and enlightening.

Therefore, each Bodhisattva has many incarnations, all of which are the transformations of the physical body from the previous life after the true spirit is reincarnated.

Cihang Daoren is not only the evil corpse of Guanyin, but also one of the incarnations of all beings.

Cihang Daoren, following Guanyin's orders, immediately activated his Golden Light Leap Technique and flew to the sky above Flower Fruit Mountain, where he began a fierce battle with Sun Wukong.

Cihang Daoren did not possess any spiritual treasures, but his three avatars were at the same level as his original self.

It should be noted that Cihang Daoren can be considered one of the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect in modern times.

There are countless geniuses in the entire prehistoric world, yet only these twelve were accepted as disciples by the Primordial Heavenly Lord, which shows how outstanding their talents are.

As one of these twelve, Cihang Daoren's talent goes without saying; it can be said that he was no less talented than Sun Wukong.

His thunder magic is incredibly powerful, and he has definitely mastered the Five Thunders Technique of the Thirty-Six Transformations of the Heavenly Gang to an extremely profound level.

In addition, he used various supernatural powers such as the Five Elements Great Escape and the Thirty-Six Transformations of the Heavenly Gang to assist him, and captured Sun Wukong in just a few rounds.

After throwing the bound Sun Wukong to the grim-faced Nezha, Cihang Daoren disappeared from the spot.

Not only was Nezha's expression grim, but the expressions of the various deities were also not much better.

After all, during the Investiture of the Gods war, several of these individuals were sent to the Investiture of the Gods list by the Chan Sect.

After Nezha and the others escorted Sun Wukong to heaven, the Jade Emperor and the others did not look pleased.

Of course, the Jade Emperor understood that this was a counterattack from Buddhism, a blow to the reputation of the Xuanmen sect.

Cihang Daoren was, after all, a traitor to the sect, so even if Guanyin had cut him into three corpses, she would not have allowed him to enter the world.

However, the Jade Emperor had to admit that Guanyin was not only a Bodhisattva in Buddhism, but also one of the Five Elders of Heaven, so it was only reasonable for her to help Heaven capture criminals.

Similarly, Buddha was one of the Five Elders of Heaven, so it was reasonable for the Jade Emperor to ask him to subdue Sun Wukong when he wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace.

But the story continues. Sun Wukong is bound by iron chains and suffers being struck by thunder nails from the Thunder Gods on the Demon-Slaying Platform. The Southern Dipper Star orders the Fire Gods to set him on fire.

However, Sun Wukong had already cultivated to the point of being indestructible and impervious to all magic, so neither lightning nor fire nor swords and axes could harm his title.

Therefore, Laozi intervened and provided a reasonable explanation for Sun Wukong's indestructible body: that Sun Wukong ate the peaches of immortality, drank the imperial wine, and stole the elixir of immortality—his five gourds of elixir, some raw and some cooked, were all consumed by him. He then used the Samadhi Fire to forge them into one piece, thus creating a body of pure metal that is extremely difficult to harm.

Therefore, the plan was to slowly refine it in the Eight Trigrams Furnace to extract the medicinal properties of the Golden Elixir, which would then naturally turn it into ashes.

Since it was a pre-arranged matter, the Jade Emperor naturally agreed.

So Sun Wukong was thrown into the Eight Trigrams Furnace and refined by Laozi with the Six Ding Divine Fire.

The Six Ding Divine Fire is a gentle fire, and it has a strong similarity to the Yin Fire of the Three Calamities.

The trigrams Xun (巽) and Bi (趑) share a strong similarity.

Therefore, the Six Ding Divine Fire and the Eight Trigrams Xun Wind served as the catalyst, initiating Sun Wukong's path of suffering.

Sun Wukong possesses an indestructible body, so the Six Ding Divine Fire and the Eight Trigrams Wind leave a flaw in his indestructible body: his eyes.

However, among Sun Wukong's fifteen Golden Immortal inheritances, there is also the supernatural power of Fiery Eyes.

Therefore, Sun Wukong's "Insightful Golden Eyes" could only be reduced to "Fiery Golden Eyes".

However, under Zhao Xuan's covert influence, Sun Wukong had already cultivated the Seventy-Two Transformations of Earthly Fiends to an unbelievable level.

Having cultivated to the point of transforming the laws of fire and wind, the Six Ding Divine Fire and the Eight Trigrams Wind could not harm Sun Wukong at all; they only burned through the iron chains binding him.

At this moment, Sun Wukong's instincts also came into play. With the help of the creation rules contained in the Eight Trigrams Furnace, Sun Wukong absorbed all the medicinal power of the peaches of immortality and the golden pills in his body.

Although he did not advance to the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm, his physical body reached perfection under the medicinal power of the peaches of immortality and the golden pills, thus achieving the physical body of a Great Luo Golden Immortal.

Zhao Xuan's clone sensed Sun Wukong's condition within Sun Wukong's body and secretly erased Sun Wukong's "Golden Eyes of Truth" appearance, making him appear with "Fiery Eyes of Truth".

After forty-nine days, Laozi opened the Eight Trigrams Furnace.

Sun Wukong seized the opportunity to jump out, kicked over the Eight Trigrams Furnace, and attacked the Lingxiao Palace.

It is worth mentioning that Sun Wukong originally caused a ruckus in the Heavenly Palace because his anger and blood surged up.

This time, however, it was because of his physical breakthrough that he was momentarily blinded by the surge of power and committed the act of causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace.

Zhao Xuan followed Sun Wukong and watched as Sun Wukong fought his way to the Lingxiao Palace.

However, since the Jade Emperor had already emerged from the Buddha's lineage, the Heavenly Court could suppress Sun Wukong.

So in the original story, Wang Lingguan rented Sun Wukong to enter the Lingxiao Palace, but this time it was You Sheng Zhenjun who personally took action.

The full title of You Sheng Zhen Jun is You Sheng Zhen Jun Xuan Tian Shang Di. The four characters Xuan Tian Shang Di indicate that You Sheng Zhen Jun is of the same rank as the Jade Emperor.

Indeed, this is true. You Sheng Zhen Jun, also known as Zhen Wu Dang Mo Da Di, is one of the Six Emperors of Heaven. However, the Jade Emperor, as the central Heavenly Emperor, followed the example of Hou Tu Da Di and neither obeyed the summons nor the command, so he was sealed in the Netherworld and will never come out again.

Therefore, it is only referred to as the Four Emperors.

Zhenwu the Demon-Subduing Emperor is the Eastern Emperor.

The East was originally the ancestral home of the Xuanmen (Taoist sect), so the Zhenwu Demon-Slaying Emperor had many talented people under his command. Basically, all the cultivators in the Earthly Immortal Realm served under the Zhenwu Demon-Slaying Emperor.

Wang Lingguan was just one of the five hundred spirit officials under Zhenwu Dangmo.

The Buddha said: The people of Dongsheng Shenzhou are respectful of Heaven and Earth, and their hearts are clear and their spirits are calm; the people of Beiju Luzhou, though they love their own children, are only concerned with making a living, and their nature is simple and their emotions are unrestrained, so they do not commit many evil deeds; the people of Xiniu Hezhou are not greedy or murderous, and they cultivate their spirit and nurture their souls. Although there are no supreme beings, everyone enjoys a long life; but the people of Nanzengbuzhou are greedy, lustful, and fond of trouble, and they kill and fight a lot. It is truly a place of fierce words and a sea of evil.

The Southern Continent is where the human dynasty is located. They are all mortals, so they are said to be greedy, lustful, and fond of killing and making money. Isn't that how mortals are?

Beiju Luzhou is the territory of the demon race, so although they are fond of killing, it is because they need to make a living, meaning that cannibalism is in the nature of the demon race.

Xiniu Hezhou is a Buddhist site; whether this is an attempt to embellish one's own image is another matter.

However, Dongsheng Shenzhou, as the ancestral home of Xuanmen, was praised by the head of the Buddhist sect.

That was achieved by the True Martial Emperor. The demons were all subdued and naturally became calm and respectful to Heaven and Earth.

Although there are countless powerful figures in the Xuanmen and Buddhist sects, no one wants to mess with the Killing Tribulation because of the Twelve Golden Immortals.

Therefore, the Eastern Continent was cleaned up by the True Martial Demon-Subduing Emperor, who led the Turtle and Snake Generals and five hundred spirit officials.

The phrase "slaying demons" encapsulates the duties of the True Martial Emperor.

The reason why Buddhism needs Sun Wukong is because after Buddhism rebelled against Taoism, someone was needed to bear the calamity for Buddhism.

This is equivalent to the role played by Zhenwu the Great in the Heavenly Court.

Sun Wukong was no match for such a person. Even with his physical body enhanced by Zhao Xuan, the difference in strength was too great, and he was quickly suppressed by the True Martial Emperor.

A tortoise-shaped mountain, formed from a tortoise shell, pressed Sun Wukong down in what should have been the Five Elements Mountain.

Afterwards, the An Tian Assembly was changed to a ceremony to entertain the True Martial Emperor, and the talisman that was used to suppress Turtle Mountain was changed to the Nine-Character Mantra talisman.

The Buddhist sect's suppression of Sun Wukong and the Heavenly Court's suppression of Sun Wukong have different meanings.

Sun Wukong's havoc in the Heavenly Palace was a provocation against the majesty of the Heavenly Court.

If Buddhism suppresses Sun Wukong, it will make outsiders think that the Heavenly Court is weak. Then, in the future, people will continue to challenge the Heavenly Court as a means to gain fame.

For example, the Green-haired Lion King, one of the three great demon kings of Lion Camel Ridge, also became famous for causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace.

Similarly, some demon immortals who originally sought to achieve enlightenment and join the ranks of immortals no longer yearn for the Heavenly Court, but instead turn their hearts to Buddhism.

For example, a monster like the Black Bear Spirit.

This was also a scheme devised by Buddhism to greatly promote itself. If Buddhism wanted to prosper, Taoism had to give way. Therefore, the original plan was for Buddhism to suppress Sun Wukong.

The fact that the Heavenly Court suppressed Sun Wukong demonstrates that the Xuanmen sect remains powerful, and even the rise of Buddhism cannot shake its position.

The fact that the Heavenly Court suppressed Sun Wukong and that Buddhism made this concession means that the Xuanmen (Taoist sect) can still suppress demons.

The Green-Haired Lion King wouldn't have become famous for causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace, and someone like the Black Bear Spirit wouldn't have been inclined towards Buddhism.

Even if the Golden-Winged Roc dared to devour the entire population of a nation, the Heavenly Court would dare to intervene.

As the story continues, Marshal Tianpeng flirts with Chang'e and is banished to the mortal realm.

Later, Sha Wujing accidentally broke a glass lamp and was punished by being sent to the Flowing Sand River.

Zhao Xuan saw everything, and his own mythological laws had been pushed to 99% due to the havoc in the Heavenly Palace.

Zhao Xuan was concerned that once the Journey to the West team assembled, his own mythological laws would transform into his original laws.

At that time, I will be equivalent to a Primordial Golden Immortal.

Of course, Zhao Xuan wasn't idle either; he created one clone for Zhu Ganglie and another for Sha Wujing.

The purpose was to analyze the two people's status and bloodline.

In the primordial world, before the Three Sovereigns ruled the world, the human race had been protected by the Ten Sovereigns.

They were the ten emperors during the time when humans ate raw meat and drank blood, living in caves and inhabiting civilization.

The most famous among them was the Nine-Headed Clan, also known as the Taihuang Clan, who had a human face and a dragon body.

Zhao Xuan mainly wanted to verify whether this Nine-Headed Clan was Zhulong.

Zhu Ganglie, however, had the bloodline of the Nine-Headed Clan.

As expected, after tracing back to the source, Zhao Xuan saw the figure of Zhulong in the bloodline of Zhu Ganglie.

Except for lacking the title of Dragon Lord, the Zhulong of the Primordial World is similar to the Zhulong of the Human Immortal Realm.

However, the Zhulong of this world had protected the human race for hundreds of thousands of years for the sake of merit.

When Zhulong protected the human race, the human race had no way to repair themselves, so Zhulong used his own blood essence to strengthen a group of humans.

The one who inherited the power of the Zhulong's blood essence was the Nine-Headed Clan.
