As the boss who came to visit the set, Lin Xiaomeng also took on a minor role, acting as a background character with her assistant, learning how to make zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) from the local elderly women.

Knowing that it was for filming a cultural tourism promotional video for their city, the old ladies were incredibly kind and warm-hearted, acting as if they were really the mothers and mothers-in-law of the actors.

After filming the scenes of making zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), they moved to the waterway for the competition.

The dragon boat races here are called "Diejiao Dragon Boat Races," and are known as the most thrilling dragon boat races, with narrow tracks and fast boat speeds. The races often feature drifting motions on the water.

The staff from the Culture and Tourism Bureau led the filming team to a small viewing platform, located above a small pier with only two or three steps. There were already quite a few elderly people sitting there, who had come to watch the excitement and pick vegetables.

When this group of people came over, the director saw that the scene was good, so he decided not to clear the elderly people out and let them stay and film together as extras.

A group of young actors helped the elderly pick vegetables while simultaneously performing and watching dragon boat training. Whenever a dragon boat arrived, they would enthusiastically wave, cheer, and shout encouragement.

The actors cheered so enthusiastically that they really livened up the atmosphere on set.

Many villagers who came to watch the training were stunned. Did the tourists come to watch the dragon boat race so early this year? They came to cheer and shout encouragement more than ten days in advance.

The village official told them that these were all actors, hired by the Culture and Tourism Bureau to film a promotional video. The young men who participated in the training were excited when they found out.

When the production team contacted the dragon boat team and told them they wanted to film close-up shots, every member of the team put on the spirit of a real competition, wearing their uniforms and vests neatly, and their paddling was incredibly synchronized.

When the director and Xiaomeng watched the playback on the monitor, they were extremely satisfied with the athletes' movements and expressions, and their bravery. They gave a thumbs up to the staff of the Culture and Tourism Bureau and the dragon boat athletes who helped with the filming.

Many of the participants were elderly women who greeted the dragon boat athletes warmly as they approached. These were all their fellow villagers, including their nephews and nieces.

When they saw the actresses from the Lin family's side, someone took the initiative and started introducing them.

The older woman asked, "Does your sister have a boyfriend? Look, this is my nephew. His family owns ten buildings that they rent out; they're quite well-off."
