Super-rich: Spending money is just a job!

Chapter 190 Returning South for Spring Festival (Chapter 13)

After dinner, Xiaomeng drove her older sister and Doudou out to the mall to buy new clothes.

The festive clothes worn during the New Year are naturally predominantly bright red.

Xiaomeng chose a simple, bright red cashmere trench coat for her sister. Wearing the bright red coat, her sister looked much more energetic.

Needless to say, Dou Dou was dressed in a bright red romper and down bodysuit, making her look like a little red envelope baby.

Originally, Sister Cuiling didn't want Xiaomeng to spend money, but Xiaomeng refused, as she had many tasks to complete every day. The money she spent on her sister was just a small fraction of what she needed.

While her older sister went into the supermarket to buy milk powder, Xiaomeng couldn't resist pushing the stroller into the gold shop on the ground floor of the mall. She bought gold bracelets and longevity locks for her sister and Doudou. Although they looked small, they were all solid. She spent more than 10 yuan in one go. By the time Cuiling found out, it was too late.

"Why are you spending money so recklessly? Over 10 yuan is more than half a month's profit!"

Xiaomeng pointed to the gold lock that Doudou was clutching tightly in her hand, "What can I do? The child insists on having it. Can I be stingy and not buy it?"

This sophistry made Cuiling laugh in anger.

Cuiling felt that Xiaomeng was spending money too extravagantly. Although she could earn money, she shouldn't spend tens of thousands of yuan in one shopping trip. Fortunately, she knew to buy gold; if she had bought other things, Cuiling would have forced Xiaomeng to return them.

Xiaomeng had no choice but to put on a forced smile and take her sister and Doudou home.

After her sister and niece had rested, she drove off again.

Xiaomeng buys her New Year's goods at a relatively expensive imported supermarket during the day. Even if she only picks the most expensive and high-quality items, she only spends a little over 100,000 yuan.

This almost filled the delivery truck's cargo compartment. Fortunately, because she bought so much, the supermarket manager personally arranged for a truck driver to help her deliver the goods home.

She went out tonight specifically to buy new clothes. The clothes didn't cost much, just a few thousand yuan a set. She did spend over ten thousand yuan on gold, but that's still far from her target of one million yuan.

She went to another luxury shopping mall instead.

When she walked into the liquor section of the mall, she spotted a bottle of whisky priced at 40 yuan, Milton 1949.

Xiaomeng doesn't drink at all, but the lights in the beverage area were so bright, and the price tag of 400,000 was prominently displayed in the center of the exhibition hall, it was hard for her not to see it.

That's great! Xiaomeng asked the sales assistant to get her two bottles of this whiskey, and her task for the day was completed.

My goodness, are alcoholic beverages really this expensive? A bottle of wine costing 400,000 yuan, does anyone actually dare to drink it? One sip must cost tens of thousands! Wow, this is far beyond Xiaomeng's comprehension.

Xiaomeng stood in front of the premium cigarette and liquor counter, carrying the two wooden liquor boxes that the saleswoman had packed for her. She carefully followed the saleswoman, learning how to identify and distinguish the products.

So it seems that the 100 million yuan daily spending target that Tongzi set for her was really just a matter of a few bottles of wine... right?

……

In the evening, the liveliest place in the shopping mall is not actually the shopping area, but the amusement park.

Nowadays, people no longer regard large shopping malls as shopping destinations; instead, they see them as places for leisure and entertainment. Therefore, every large shopping mall must have claw machines and various arcade games.

Xiaomeng had never had the chance to play such a high-tech game console since she was a child.

She bought 100 yuan worth of game tokens at the claw machine's redemption machine. She tried every claw machine in the store several times, but couldn't win a single toy.

She looked down at the baby sitting next to her in the rocking airplane.

Is this claw machine a scam? You'd be better off giving those 100 tokens to the little kid next to you to ride the rocking horse; that many tokens would probably make her vomit.

Xiaomeng was amused by her own thoughts.

She didn't buy any more tokens to play the game machines. Instead, she wandered around the game area and noticed a lottery ticket stall next to it.

Come to think of it, she'd never even bought a lottery ticket. Xiaomeng plopped down in front of the lottery stall; she found all the other games too complicated, and only knew how to play scratch-offs.

She asked the shopkeeper how much a whole book of scratch-off lottery tickets would cost. The shopkeeper quickly introduced her to a welfare lottery scratch-off ticket called something like "Happy Reunion." Xiao Meng thought the printed pages looked very auspicious and festive, so she bought a book.

She picked up a card left behind by someone else from the table and started scratching it.

Surprisingly, scratching a whole book of lottery tickets did yield some results. I bought a whole book of lottery tickets for 600 yuan and scratched out 500 yuan in cash.

She exchanged the small denominations directly with the stall owner. The owner even said she was pretty lucky; some people only win two or three hundred yuan after scratching through an entire book.

Xiaomeng pondered the return on investment. Wasn't this equivalent to spending 100 yuan on a scratch-off lottery ticket? And her luck was pretty good? Was the shop owner just lying through his teeth? Oh well, she'd just take it as a compliment.

My first time visiting an arcade was quite an eye-opening night!
