First, everyone should change into their full gear at the guesthouse. In addition to cycling clothes, gloves, and helmets, it's also important to take precautions against the sun by applying sunscreen to avoid getting sunburned by the ultraviolet rays at high altitudes.

After taking a group photo, everyone set off along the eastern shore of Erhai Lake.

The initial stretch of the road was relatively flat. With a quick press of the pedals, "Thirteen Sister" glided smoothly forward. She didn't even feel tired before completing the first ten kilometers. So this is what it feels like to ride a Thirteen Thousand (presumably a brand of bicycle); it's definitely different from a regular bicycle.

The entire route is lined with quiet villages and fields, creating a very idyllic atmosphere.

They started out in a rush, but gradually formed a long, snaking procession.

Overall, the speed wasn't fast. Xiaomeng looked at the speedometer on the front of the bike and saw an average speed of fifteen kilometers per hour. Wasn't that the speed of a normal bicycle?

Then look at the guy riding one seat in front of her; he's already panting heavily. He's only ridden twenty kilometers.

When we came across a beautiful view, the tour leader would invite everyone to come down and take pictures.

How could they get so tired? City dwellers have such poor physical fitness.

Of course, Xiaomeng couldn't laugh at others. When she was working, she sat all day. If she hadn't taken some health-boosting pills, her physical fitness would have been worse than theirs.

As they walked and stopped, before they knew it, Xiaomeng had ridden to the front of the group.

Xiao Tang, a college student, was physically stronger than the others and could barely keep up with Xiao Meng. The two of them gradually left the others behind.

Seeing that the two were running too fast, the team leader used a walkie-talkie to tell them to find a place to sit down ahead and wait for the others.

Well, it is a group activity after all.

The logistics support vehicle they were in was driven by an uncle named Liu.

Uncle Liu received instructions and drove the car to the vicinity of a viewing platform ahead. He then pulled a canopy out of the car roof to provide shade.

They then took out two moon chairs and a camping table from the trunk and placed them under the canopy.

On the camping table, hot tea, sports drinks, cookies, and snacks were all laid out.

As soon as Xiaomeng and Xiaotang stopped their bicycles, he greeted them, "Miss Lin, Mr. Tang, seats have been prepared for you. Please sit down and rest for a while."

Xiao Meng plopped down on the moon chair facing Erhai Lake. "This is so comfortable, it's like a picnic!" She took a sip of hot tea. "You guys really know how to enjoy yourselves. I thought your cycling event would be some kind of strenuous activity, but it's so relaxing and enjoyable."

Xiao Meng thought that if she were traveling alone, she would never think of hiring a car to follow her and provide services.

Xiao Tang took a hot towel from the thermos that Uncle Liu handed him and wiped his face.

"There are hot towels too?" Xiaomeng was dumbfounded.

"Yes, there are still a few left in the insulated bucket. Our boss arranged for them to be in every vehicle. Miss Lin, please don't be shy." The attentive Uncle Liu used tongs to take a steaming white towel from the bucket and handed it to Xiaomeng.

After wiping her face and hands with a hot towel, Xiaomeng felt like all her pores had opened up. With the gentle breeze, she almost fell asleep.

When the lagging team members arrived, Xiaomeng found that many of them had boarded the support vehicles and were no longer riding their own bikes.

Xiaomeng felt that these people were somewhat disrespectful to their mounts, which cost tens of thousands of yuan each.

"The road ahead is mostly uphill, and I'm not up to the task. I'll get on my bike and rest for a bit, then come back out and ride for a while when it goes downhill," one guy said shamelessly.

Now Xiaomeng understood why these people needed so many cars following them when they went cycling.
