Tomb raiding: The awesome life that started from Ganggangyingzi

Chapter 71 marks the start of the operation; tomb raiding = tourism.

Having no other choice, Old Man Wang could only obediently lead the way.

The mountains here rise and fall, and the group crossed one ridge after another until evening when Old Man Wang finally pointed ahead.

"Gentlemen, it's just ahead. The last group of people were captured by monsters right there."

"Okay! You can go now. Hopefully, you won't do anything bad in the future, or the King of Hell will invite you to his home."

Ji Haobo patted him on the shoulder, turned around, and took the lead in walking ahead.

The others quickly followed, but Wu Laosan's pupils shrank, and a chill rose in his heart.

He then casually glanced at the old man and saw him standing there in a daze. A chill ran down Wu Laosan's spine.

Although the old man seemed perfectly fine, he was certain that things were not that simple.

Ji Haobo, who was walking ahead, was fully aware of his little actions, but he didn't pay any attention to them.

As the sun set and darkness fell, the group finally arrived at a campsite.

The surroundings were silent and dark, with no light, clearly indicating that no one was there.

The group entered the camp, and Wu Laosan and his companions quickly checked the tents and the surrounding area.

They found that everything inside, including their daily necessities, was still there. This must be just as the old man said, that the monster had taken them away.

"Brother Bo, there's a tomb raiding tunnel over there, but it looks like it's been blown up, and there are some drag marks left on the ground."

However, due to the passage of so much time, it has essentially disappeared, and its whereabouts cannot be determined.

Old Hu and Fatty Wang entered a tent to report their discovery to Ji Haobo, only to find him packing clothes inside, which were women's clothes.

The two exchanged a glance, their expressions turning strange and somewhat awkward.

Seeing this, Ji Haobo couldn't help but feel annoyed, knowing exactly what these two were thinking.

"Don't fucking think nonsense. I'm not a pervert. These are my friend's. She's been down there for days, so she definitely needs to change them."

The two were taken aback for a moment, then nodded in understanding, and quickly left, as if to say, "I understand, we both understand."

Ji Haobo didn't care what the two idiots thought, so he packed up a few clothes and left the tent.

When Wu Laosan saw him come out, he quickly went up to him and asked:

"Brother Bo, what do you think? Should we make our move tonight, or wait until tomorrow?"

"It's probably not feasible to take action tonight. You've been traveling all day; you're likely exhausted."

Ji Haobo naturally wanted to get it done as quickly as possible, but as he said, walking through the mountains all day was no easy feat.

Upon hearing this, Wu Laosan hesitated for a moment, but gritted his teeth and made a decision.

"This...it's alright, let's dig the tunnel first, then go down and take a look."

He was indeed a bit tired, but he was worried that things might change if he delayed, so it was better to leave sooner rather than later.

After all, he had certain motives; it wasn't simply about obtaining the treasure.

"Okay, I'll have Lao Hu set the location, and we'll get started after we finish eating."

Seeing Wu Laosan's urgency, Ji Haobo immediately had some guesses in his mind, but he was too lazy to care. All he needed to do was retrieve the treasure and bring the person up.

When Wu Laosan saw Lao Hu take out a compass, look at the sky, and mutter some calculations, he was immediately taken aback.

"Tomb raiders? And not just any ordinary tomb raiders?"

Wu Laosan, curious, hurried over to see what was so unusual about this legendary tomb raider from the north.

Ji Haobo ignored these things. He had no interest in geomancy and sat down by the campfire that Pan Zi had lit, glancing at the corpse of Wu Xie.

"White powder, this job isn't easy, is it? This is still up there; going down there would be even more deadly. It's no joke to be risking your life."

Wu Xie sat up, rubbed his trembling legs, and stubbornly shook his head.

"But I find it very exciting. It's far better than living a life of aimlessness and waiting to die in the city."

"Hehe, sometimes once you take that first step, there's no turning back. I hope you won't regret what you said today."

Ji Haobo glanced at him with a smile, his words carrying a hidden meaning, which made Wu Xie look confused.

Just then, Fatty Wang came running over, plopped down, and shouted:

"Brother Bo, we've found a spot! Let's eat now! We're starving!"

We were supposed to have beef for lunch, but the old man mentioned the journey, so we ended up having some dry rations instead.

"Alright, call everyone over! We'll get started after we eat."

When Ji Haobo took out the pressure cooker and bowls and chopsticks, Zhang Menzi, who had always been an outsider, ran over and was the first to grab a bowl.

A tantalizing aroma wafted out, making the listless Wu Xie jolt and stare at the pressure cooker with shining eyes.

After a cup of tea, Wu Laosan, his nephew, and Pan Zi, holding their bowls, were almost in tears.

"Master Bo, all these methods you use make tomb raiding feel like a vacation, it's really... really... sigh!"

Wu Laosan recalled his past experiences going down into tombs, which were nothing short of arduous adventures, and a wave of sorrow washed over him, tears welling up in his eyes.

Old Hu and Fatty Wang, seeing this, almost burst out laughing. They secretly thought it was lucky they ran into Master Bo, otherwise they would have shared in Wu Laosan's miserable mood.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone rested for a while. Ji Haobo took out a whirlwind shovel and handed it to Lao Hu, asking him to start digging the hole.

Old Hu casually fiddled with it for a bit and then figured out how to use it, which made Wu Laosan next to him extremely envious.

In his opinion, this thing was simply a divine artifact; it could dig tunnels of any size, making it incredibly convenient.

"Brother Hu, are you tired? How about I help you?"

Seeing him rubbing his hands together, his eyes full of anticipation, looking eager to try, Lao Hu felt he couldn't be too stingy, so he nodded.

"Alright, go ahead!"

Wu Laosan excitedly took the whirlwind shovel and, together with Pan Zi, worked away at it, busily and enthusiastically.

Old Hu chuckled to himself as he watched. With two "tools" at his disposal, he went to the side to smoke.

Wang Pangzi and Wu Xie, two novices, were very curious about digging tunnels, so they watched the excitement from the sidelines and occasionally went down to lend a hand.

"Damn, there really is blood in the soil. What's going on?"

Wang Pangzi, a novice tomb raider who had only recently started out, had no idea about those strange things and was completely taken aback.

Wu Xie's face changed drastically as he looked at the blood-stained soil brought up by the whirlwind shovel, and he screamed in panic.

"Blood... Blood Corpse Tomb? This should be the Blood Corpse Tomb. I've seen it in my grandfather's notes; it describes this tomb as extremely dangerous."

"Alright, alright! Nephew, don't make a fuss. It's just a blood corpse. With Master Bo and Brother Zhang here, there's nothing to worry about."

Wu Laosan already knew about the situation here from what the female boss at the foot of the mountain had said, so he wasn't surprised.

He certainly knew how ominous this kind of tomb was, after all, his Wu family had almost been wiped out in a blood corpse tomb.

But now that we have two experts by our side, what is there to be afraid of?
