“What a coincidence, Professor Aiden.” Leon’s voice carried a hint of surprise, and his eyes revealed an expression of disbelief.

In this important competition, he never imagined that he would become Aiden's opponent. This made him marvel at the wonder of fate; was it a cruel twist of destiny, or simply the workings of fate?

Professor Aiden stood opposite him, his gaze sharp as a sword, fixed intently on Leon. His face was expressionless, but his deep eyes seemed to hold endless thoughts. He slowly raised his head, his gaze piercing through the clouds above, as if searching for something.

Then, Professor Aiden turned his head and looked at the college behind him, where his colleagues and the students he had worked so hard to cultivate were all cheering him on.

A hint of tenderness flashed in his eyes, but it quickly returned to its firmness. He glanced around at the audience, those unfamiliar faces, those expectant eyes, which calmed him down a little.

Mr. Aiden took a deep breath, as if he had made up his mind. He smiled at Leon across from him, his tone slightly teasing: "What a coincidence, Mr. Leon. I never expected us to meet in such a setting. It seems this duel is destined to become a legendary tale."

...

“Father, look, that’s Teacher Leon!” Emma excitedly pointed to the figure below the stage, her eyes sparkling with admiration. Her voice revealed her respect and affection for this teacher, as if being Teacher Leon’s student was an incredibly proud thing.

Duke Chloe followed his daughter's finger, his gaze gentle and tolerant, a kind smile playing on his lips. "I see, I see, not bad, a handsome young man." The Duke nodded in praise, his voice filled with a father's doting affection for his daughter.

...

“Brother, that’s the teacher Leon I told you about before.” Aurora’s voice was filled with anticipation. She knew that her brother was also quite interested in this teacher, and meeting him in the first match today was an unexpected surprise for her.

Raphael looked in the direction his sister pointed, a hint of curiosity and scrutiny flashing in his eyes.

"Oh? It's the opening match? This is going to be interesting." His tone revealed his anticipation for the upcoming match, as well as his curiosity about the teacher's abilities.

"I just don't know if we can win the first match." Raphael frowned slightly. Although he had heard Aurora talk about it, he had never seen Aurora's strength in person.

“It can definitely be done,” Aurora replied immediately, her tone firm and confident.

...

On the other side of the stands, Harvey and his mother Maria sat in the middle of the crowd, their eyes also drawn to Leon on the stage.

"Teacher Leon is in the first match?" Maria frowned slightly, her voice revealing her concern for Leon. In her view, the pressure of the first match is always exceptionally high, and she worried that it would affect Teacher Leon.

“Teacher Leon will be fine.” Harvey’s smile was full of trust in his teacher. He gently patted his mother’s hand to comfort her. “Teacher Leon has always been very strong. This match is just an opportunity for him to demonstrate his strength.”

"Mmm." Mrs. Maria nodded gently. Although her son's words reassured her, her hands were still unconsciously clenched together, and her nervousness had not completely dissipated.

...

"Merry, how could this be? How could Teacher Aiden be facing Teacher Leon in the first match?" Elsa frowned, her voice filled with confusion and worry.

"I don't know, maybe this is God's arrangement," Mei sighed softly.

“Teacher Aiden…” Elsa crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes fixed on Teacher Aiden on the stage, silently cheering him on.

"Trust Aiden, Professor," Mary said, looking at her friend beside her.

...

From the stands of St. Peter's Academy, Mr. Lian quietly observed the two people standing below. His gaze finally settled on Leon, and seeing Mr. Leon's composed expression, Mr. Lian's mood gradually eased.

...

In a corner of the stands, Eric stood alone, like a silent painting detached from the clamor. His figure appeared somewhat forlorn amidst the bustling audience. He did not exchange pleasantries with the other nobles, nor did he greet the members of the royal family. Raphael probably didn't want to see him either.

Eric's gaze wasn't fixed on the two teachers below the stage, nor was it drawn to the upcoming competition. His eyes pierced through the crowded throng and the clamor, landing in the distance towards St. Peter's Academy. There, he saw Hansen, the person he had been silently watching.

...

As the referee's announcement of the start of the match echoed through the arena, both Leon and Aiden's expressions turned serious. They composed themselves, their eyes fixed intently on each other, and the atmosphere instantly became tense. Neither of them rushed to make a move, as if waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Finally, it was Teacher Aiden who broke the silence. He launched the first attack, several scorching fire spells hurtling towards Leon like ferocious beasts, the intense heat waves churning in the air, demonstrating the immense power of magic.

Despite the close-range magical attack, Leon remained unusually calm. He made no move to dodge, simply standing there quietly, seemingly unconcerned about the impending attack.

Just as the flames were about to touch his body, a miraculous scene unfolded—the flames seemed to encounter an invisible barrier, inexplicably dissipating or changing direction, bypassing Leon's body.

The spectators in the stands witnessed this scene and couldn't help but gasp in astonishment. The situation was so bizarre and unbelievable.

Professor Aiden frowned, his gaze not fixed on Leon's face, but carefully observing Leon's entire body. Although he had been quite close and hadn't seen any obvious movements from Leon, he had definitely sensed the aura of magic.

He was certain that Leon must have used some kind of magic to deflect his attack.

Eric, watching Leon curiously from a corner of the arena, was quite familiar with wind magic; he had just sensed a subtle whirlwind around Leon.

It was this whirlwind that cleverly dispersed the flames or altered the trajectory of the magic just as it was about to reach Leon.

Eric's gaze turned serious as he thought to himself, "It seems there are truly formidable figures here." His interest in Leon intensified.

After a brief moment of reflection, Mr. Aiden decided to abandon his probing attacks. He realized that he should have gone all out from the start; otherwise, he would have been utterly defeated in this duel.
