All-around teacher at the magic academy
Chapter 69 Greeting
"It's so lively!" Leon exclaimed as he stood in the queue, looking at the bustling crowd and colorful decorations around him.
“Yes!” Lian stood next to Leon, equally caught up in the lively atmosphere, and a smile appeared on her face.
"There should be a lot of important people here, right?" Leon asked curiously, his eyes scanning around, trying to find those legendary figures in the crowd.
“Yes, yes, all the nobles in Barton City will send representatives, and nobles from other states are also coming.” Lian nodded. “The royal family has even sent their eldest prince.”
"The eldest prince? I think his name is Raphael?" Leon's memory was awakened, and he frowned slightly, trying to confirm his memory.
“Your Highness Raphael, the first in line to the throne of the kingdom.” The dean happened to pass by and overheard their conversation. He turned to Leon and explained in detail, “His arrival is undoubtedly the best proof of the importance of this competition.”
"Oh, oh, oh." Leon had seen this name in the newspaper before; this Prince Raphael always seemed to appear in reports of various important events.
“Let’s go. Let’s go over there.” The dean pointed to a large open space not far ahead, decorated with the flags and emblems of St. Peter’s College, clearly a reserved spot for the college’s faculty and students.
"Everyone, please continue with your activities as you see fit. I'll go say hello." The dean gestured to the teachers and students around him, and then prepared to go and talk to representatives from other colleges and important guests.
Everyone nodded. Some began to look for their seats, while others chatted in small groups, each preparing for their own business.
"What's wrong, Professor Lian?" Leon noticed that Professor Lian's expression was somewhat downcast and asked with concern.
"Amy still hasn't come to find me. The academy's location should be quite obvious, so it seems she's not coming." Disappointment was evident in Teacher Lian's eyes. She had been hoping on her way here that her friend Amy would be waiting for her, but as time passed, her hopes gradually faded.
"Don't worry, we'll go check again later." Leon gently patted Ms. Lian's shoulder, trying to comfort her.
"Mmm." Lian nodded slightly, her emotions calming down a bit.
It seems that this is the only way for now. She doesn't plan to dwell on this matter anymore, since the competition is about to begin and finishing the competition is the most important thing.
...
"Enforcer!" A cry of surprise rang out from the crowd in the academy, breaking the lively atmosphere, and everyone's eyes turned to the source of the sound.
Leon and Lian also looked in the direction of the sound, and when they saw the person who made the sound, an embarrassed look appeared on Leon's face.
He turned to look at Teacher Lian, and said with an embarrassed smile, "I'll go see, they should be looking for me."
"Mmm." Leanne's eyes darted back and forth between Leon and the girl opposite her. She was a little curious, but she kept her composure on the surface, thinking that there shouldn't be any big problems, right?
"Um, can I come along?" Teacher Lian hesitated for a moment before making her request.
“Hmm? Of course.” Although Leon was a little puzzled by Professor Lian’s request, he did not refuse and nodded in agreement.
After receiving permission, Ms. Lian breathed a sigh of relief.
The two walked together through the crowd toward the direction of the sound. The teachers and students around them made way for them, watching them with curiosity.
When Mary saw Leon and Lian walking side by side, she paused involuntarily. A strange glint flashed in her eyes, but she quickly regained her composure, composed herself, and gave a polite smile, saying, "Mr. Enforcer, I didn't expect to run into you here."
“Hello, please don’t call me Mr. Enforcer anymore, just call me Leon, Leon Gern.” Leon responded gently, his gaze falling on Mary with a warm smile, and continued to explain, “Actually, I am a teacher at St. Peter’s Academy, and being an enforcer is just a role I’m temporarily playing.”
"Oh, oh, oh, Professor Leon, so you're actually a teacher at St. Peter's Academy!" Mary's eyes widened even more, her voice filled with surprise. Clearly, Leon's dual identity had taken her by surprise.
"Hahaha." Leon chuckled softly, his laughter revealing a sense of warmth and affability. "I still don't know what to call you."
“Just call me Mary,” Mary replied, her tone tinged with shyness, yet also revealing a desire to connect with Leon.
She lowered her head slightly, but quickly raised it again, looking at Leon with curious eyes, as if she had many things she wanted to know about him.
"Hello, Mary, my name is Lian Otoria. Like Teacher Leon, I am also a teacher at St. Peter's Academy." Lian smiled and stepped forward, extending her hand. Her movements were elegant and graceful, giving people a friendly feeling.
“Hello,” Mary replied politely, shaking Lian’s hand, though her expression appeared calm.
“Come on, let me show you where our college is located. Professor Aiden would also like to thank you properly,” Mary said, her tone warm, as if she felt honored to be able to guide the two teachers.
“Okay, sure.” Leon nodded in agreement, feeling it was necessary to go and say hello.
...
Hearing someone call his name, Aiden turned his head in confusion, his brows furrowing slightly, unsure who was calling him.
Elsa followed Aiden's gaze, and when she realized it was Mary, her tense expression immediately relaxed.
Aiden's gaze swept over the two people beside Mary, trying to guess their identities from their clothing and demeanor. At that moment, Elsa's voice broke the brief silence.
“It’s Mr. Enforcer!” Elsa’s eyes lit up; she had clearly heard of Leon’s identity.
"Enforcers?" Aiden's doubts deepened, but he quickly seemed to remember something, and his expression changed from confusion to surprise.
“Teacher Aiden, let me introduce you. This is Teacher Leon, the law enforcement officer who helped us before. He is also a teacher at St. Peter’s Academy.” Mary stepped forward and explained to Aiden enthusiastically.
“A teacher at St. Peter’s Academy!” Elsa exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise, clearly astonished by Leon’s dual identity.
"Hello." Leon stepped forward and extended his hand. His movements were calm and confident, showing the demeanor a teacher should have.
Aiden was stunned for a moment, his brain rapidly processing this unexpected information.
Immediately, he realized what was happening and quickly extended his hand to firmly grasp Leon's. Looking at Leon, who was both a law enforcer and a colleague, Aiden felt a complex mix of emotions.
