Chapter 178 The Countess's Visit
Nova Town
In a secluded corner of the town, sunlight filtered through sparse clouds, casting a soft glow on the cobblestone pavement.
A carriage slowly came to a stop, its shafts swaying gently.
A noblewoman in a long black dress gracefully descended the steps of the carriage.
Her long dress, tailored to her figure, flowed gracefully, highlighting her beautiful silhouette. Her red high heels gleamed brilliantly in the sunlight, each step conveying a sense of poise and strength.
She wore an elegant black hat with a vibrant rose under the brim, the petals edged with a touch of allure, perfectly complementing her overall look.
She wore a pair of black lace gloves, her fingers exuding an indescribable elegance. She slowly took a delicate handkerchief from the small black bag slung over her arm and gently wiped the fine sweat from her forehead. The handkerchief's edges were embroidered with gold patterns, giving it an exceptionally luxurious appearance.
Countess Hills looked up at the blazing sun in the sky, her delicate face flushed slightly in the sunlight.
She couldn't help but frown slightly, feeling a little annoyed, wondering why it was so hot today. If she had known, she should have brought a parasol to avoid the scorching sun ruining her carefully applied makeup.
She adjusted her hat slightly to ensure the rose still hung gracefully to one side, then straightened her back and continued walking along the street, her high heels clicking crisply on the cobblestones, echoing in the empty corner.
Countess Hills swayed her slender waist and walked lightly to a building that looked unremarkable.
Her gaze fell on the sign above the door, a simple but somewhat worn sign with the words "Know-It-All" written in bold letters.
She frowned slightly, a hint of doubt creeping into her heart. This place looked far too ordinary, even somewhat shabby, a far cry from the place she had imagined that could solve all her problems.
However, she remembered that several of her close friends had mentioned this place over tea and meals, saying that although it looked unremarkable, it was very reliable in handling matters.
As long as the payment is sufficient, the people here always seem to find a way to solve problems.
Despite lingering doubts, Countess Hills decided that since she had already come, she couldn't leave empty-handed. She took a deep breath and gently pushed open the outer door.
The door hinges creaked slightly, and as the door opened, a simple yet neat decoration came into view.
The room wasn't large, but it had a cozy feel. A wooden table stood directly opposite the entrance; its smooth surface made it look rather ordinary.
A young man, who looked to be in his early twenties, was sitting behind the table, wearing an ordinary gray coat and intently looking down at the book in his hands.
Behind the young man was a row of bookshelves, but there weren't many books on them, and some places were even empty, which looked rather out of place.
In the left corner, a worn-out sofa lay across the room, and on it lay a young man, curled up and fast asleep.
His snoring was so loud that it could be heard clearly even at the door, giving the impression that the firm was not very formal.
On the right side, there was another table, which was obviously used to receive guests. The tabletop was clean and tidy, and several chairs of different styles were placed next to it.
A young man sat in one of the chairs, also engrossed in a book, seemingly uninterested in his surroundings, only occasionally pausing to scratch his head, as if pondering some problem in the book.
Just as Countess Hills was looking around, silently assessing the reliability of the place, another young figure emerged from the house.
This time it was a woman, holding a steaming cup of coffee in her hand, her face showing a hint of fatigue, but her eyes revealing shrewdness.
Looking at the four young people, Countess Hills felt a little uneasy. This place seemed more like a club for young people than an agency that could solve complex problems.
Just then, the young man sitting behind the table by the door saw someone push the door open and enter. He glanced at the person indifferently.
But when he noticed the person's attire, especially the noble air and exquisite jewelry, his eyes lit up instantly, and his spirits lifted.
"Ahem." Rhine quickly put down the book in his hand, coughed lightly, trying to attract the attention of others and at the same time make himself look more professional.
Koby, who was scratching his head, was startled back to his senses by Rhine's cough. He saw Countess Hills at the door and immediately gave her a warm smile.
He quickly and attentively stepped forward and greeted them, "Welcome to the All-Knowing Agency. Just tell us what you need, and we'll make sure you're satisfied. Come, come, please have a seat here."
Koby quickly pulled out the chair next to him, patted the seat lightly, and gestured for Countess Hills to sit down and talk.
His movements were practiced and natural, clearly indicating that he had some experience in receiving guests.
At the same time, Rhine stood up from his chair, picked up the coffee that Liz had just brewed from her hand, and walked smoothly to Countess Hills' side. He gently placed the coffee in front of her and said with a smile, "Welcome, please enjoy your coffee."
Liz looked at the two of them speechlessly, muttering to herself, "That's coffee I just brewed, I haven't even had a chance to drink it yet, and Rhine just used it to serve the guests." Her lips twitched slightly, but she ultimately held back her complaints.
She turned to look at Tommy, who was still fast asleep on the sofa, and her little dissatisfaction suddenly found an outlet.
Liz stepped forward and gently kicked Tommy's foot.
"Who, who disturbed my sweet dream?" Tommy, who was having a wonderful dream, was suddenly awakened by the kicking and hitting. He shouted in a huff, his voice tinged with morning grumpiness.
Koby reacted quickly, running up to Tommy and covering his mouth with a stern look. He then whispered a reminder, "Don't make a sound, we have guests."
As Countess Hills looked at the scene before her, she couldn't help but feel a little shaken. She began to wonder if she had really come to the wrong place.
The behavior of these people was far from what she had imagined a professional firm to be, making her doubt the reliability of her close friends' recommendations.
She felt these people looked more like street thugs than experts capable of solving complex problems.
