As the seats in the private room gradually filled up, the party naturally began.

The students chatted enthusiastically, their topics simple and friendly, mainly about their recent life events, changes after graduation, and plans for the future.

Rhine didn't have much to share on these topics.

His life was relatively simple; he spent most of his time studying and practicing magic, which was somewhat different from the life trajectories of others.

Therefore, he chose to sit quietly to the side and concentrate on enjoying the food on the table.

The taste of these dishes was a completely new experience for him, after all, he had been simply eating bread for a long time, occasionally with some simple ingredients.

He tried hard to recall the other person's name. Yes, it seemed to be Liz, a girl with golden wavy hair and round glasses.

Her image in class always gave people a sense of elegance and nobility, which made Rhine unconsciously associate her with aristocracy.

However, to his surprise, Liz was actually a commoner, just like him.

Rhine didn't know much about Liss; they rarely interacted in class, and he knew very little about her personality and background.

When Liz realized that Rhine was also looking at her, her heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly turned her head to the side.

He carefully cut the food into small pieces, savoring each delicious bite, and occasionally chatting with Koby sitting across from him.

Koby always finds a chance to bother him from time to time, but Rein is used to it and even appreciates Koby's straightforwardness and enthusiasm.

Suddenly, the topic of conversation shifted naturally in the relaxed atmosphere, touching on the realm of magic.

While Rhine was focused on savoring his food, his keen ears caught the word "magic." He involuntarily straightened up, perked up his ears, and listened intently.

This was a topic he had always been very concerned about. Although he hadn't expected to discuss it before attending the party, since his original academy wasn't primarily focused on magic education, he was surprised that the conversation eventually turned to magic, which made Rhine feel a little relieved.

"I wonder if any of you are studying magic?" Boone's voice broke the brief silence as he curiously looked around at the students present.

"No, but some of my friends are studying it."

Someone picked up where Boone left off, their tone revealing a hint of envy and longing for magic.

“Alas, I originally wanted to study magic,” Boone sighed, a look of regret on his face, “but my family disagreed because studying at a magic academy is too expensive, and we simply cannot afford it.”

His words revealed his helplessness in the face of his family's decision and his longing for his magical dream.

“Me too,” another classmate chimed in, his voice tinged with bitterness. “My family situation is similar. Although I really want to learn magic, my financial situation doesn’t allow it.”

"Me too." Another voice joined the discussion; everyone seemed to have similar experiences and feelings.

"The tuition and fees at the magic academy are too high, and it's simply out of reach for ordinary families like ours."

"Isn't it said that some magic academies don't require tuition fees?" a student asked, his voice tinged with hope.

“That’s for magical geniuses,” Boone explained. “They have to pass rigorous tests to get the chance to attend for free.”

"People like us who have hardly ever been exposed to magic, how could they possibly want us?" His words quickly extinguished the glimmer of hope that had just risen within him.

"Yes, those tests are said to be extremely difficult, and only true magical geniuses can pass them."

Another student added that his tone revealed envy and jealousy towards those lucky ones.
