"Your Highness."

Galli gently pushed open the heavy door, and the aroma of sandalwood wafted out.

His gaze pierced through the dimly lit room and landed on Raphael, who sat upright in an antique wooden chair, his figure appearing even more majestic in the candlelight.

Galli lowered his head and said respectfully, "Your Highness, I have arrived."

Raphael looked up at the sound, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. He quickly placed the parchment on the table, rose, and walked toward Galli with firm and powerful steps.

"Gali, you've finally arrived." Raphael smiled and extended his arm, indicating that Galli did not need to stand on ceremony.

"How is it? I heard you encountered criminals?" Raphael asked with concern.

Galli frowned slightly, recalling the thrilling battle, and said unwillingly, "Yes, Your Highness, it's a pity that the other side escaped."

Raphael raised an eyebrow, looking somewhat surprised: "Oh? Someone can actually escape from you? That's quite rare."

“Yes, the last person we rescued was not to be underestimated. Considering that we were in the city, and we couldn’t cause any more chaos, I had no choice but to let him go for the time being,” Galli explained, his words revealing his fear of the criminal.

Raphael nodded, his expression serious. "You did the right thing, Galli. If innocent civilians get involved in this battle, the consequences will be unimaginable."

A barely perceptible hint of agreement flashed in Gali's eyes.

He then looked directly at Raphael and asked calmly, "Your Highness, you summoned me to Barton City not just because of this incident, was it?"

Raphael chuckled softly, his eyes revealing his appreciation for Galli's insight.

“Gali, nothing escapes your eyes,” he said slowly, then walked to the window and looked at the bustling street scene outside.

A moment later, Raphael turned around and his expression became serious: "It's like this, a new teacher has appeared at St. Peter's Academy, and he's very capable."

Galli raised an eyebrow and repeated doubtfully, "Very impressive?"

“Yes, Lucas is no match for him.” Raphael’s tone was grave, clearly indicating that this new teacher had greatly impressed him.

A hint of curiosity flashed in Galli's eyes. He stepped forward and said with great interest, "Oh? Such an opponent is a rare sight indeed. I'm quite interested in meeting this teacher and seeing what kind of skills he possesses."

"Yes, it might even be a great match."

Raphael turned his head, his gaze falling on Galli, his tone carrying a hint of command: "I'll leave you here for the time being. The situation in Barton City is rather complicated. You can first investigate some recent events to get a better understanding of the situation here."

Galli nodded and replied, "Yes, Your Highness. Are you referring to the Duke of Adams?"

Raphael shook his head slightly, his expression somewhat indifferent: "Let the law enforcement handle that matter. They are professionals and will resolve it properly. You don't need to worry about it."

Galli nodded understandingly. "I understand, Your Highness."

.....

The midday sun shone through the gaps in the curtains onto Leon's face. He slowly opened his eyes, feeling a wave of weariness.

This was a rare occurrence for him to get up so late, which surprised even himself.

He didn't know if it was because of the events of the past few days or because yesterday's battle had drained his energy, but he felt as if his body had been hollowed out, with an indescribable sense of exhaustion.

Leon sat up, rubbing his temples, trying to dispel the inexplicable dizziness.

He got up quickly, washed up, and the feeling of cold water splashing on his face made him a little more awake.

He stood in front of the mirror, looking at his slightly haggard face, and sighed as he recalled the series of events that had recently occurred. He was truly too busy right now, so busy that he had almost forgotten to rest.

Once the Harvey incident is over, I definitely need to find some time to take a good rest.

His original plan was to live a quiet life teaching at the academy, but as time went on, he found himself drifting further and further away from his intended path, getting involved in one conflict after another.

Leon opened the door, and sunlight shone directly on him, but he did not feel the expected warmth; instead, he felt a faint chill.

He couldn't help but hug his arms tightly; he had been in Barton for over two months now. It seemed to be November already, the weather was getting cooler, and the autumn atmosphere was growing stronger.

He took a deep breath of the cold air and decided to go for a walk; perhaps the fresh air would make him feel better.

Although time flew by, Leon's life underwent a dramatic transformation in those short two months.

He recalled the scene when he first stepped into St. Peter's College, full of hope, dreaming that one day he could get rid of poverty, have his own wealth and a manor of his own, and share happy times with a few like-minded friends.

However, reality turned out to be quite different from his dreams. He not only participated in law enforcement operations but also became involved in a series of unusual magical events, making friends and colleagues from all walks of life.

His wealth did indeed multiply several times, but this did not bring him the expected happiness. On the contrary, people around him kept leaving, making him feel an unprecedented loneliness.

Leon's thoughts drifted to Philip, the first friend he made among the law enforcement officers.

Philip always had a smile on his face, and his optimism was infectious to everyone around him. However, that cheerful figure has now vanished from his life forever, leaving only memories and deep longing.

Sometimes, Leon would fall into deep thought, wondering if he wouldn't feel so heartbroken when he lost so many people if he hadn't met so many of them in the first place and hadn't let them into his heart.

He began to wonder if his dream was too far-fetched, so much so that he had to pay such a heavy price in the process of pursuing it.

Leon stood on the path in the academy, watching the leaves fall in the wind, and an indescribable sadness welled up in his heart.

He knew that life was a series of encounters and farewells, but each parting felt like a piece of his heart being torn apart, causing him unbearable pain.

Unbeknownst to him, Leon's footsteps led him to Ilya's residence.

He looked up at the familiar house number and realized that it had been a while since he had visited her.

A pang of guilt welled up inside him; he wondered if Ilya was still adjusting to life at the academy and if he needed his help.
