Chapter 114 Theory of Element Fusion (3)
Leon felt the gaze of Professor Vic, as well as the expectation and curiosity in the eyes of the students.
He knew that while theoretical explanations were important, practical demonstrations were even more effective in stimulating students' interest in learning. Therefore, he decided to prove his theory through concrete actions.
“Next, I will demonstrate a simple element fusion,” Leon announced, a hint of excitement in his voice. “Please pay close attention.”
As Leon finished speaking, his hands slowly rose, and visible magic began to gather between his fingers.
His movements were practiced and elegant, as if he were weaving an invisible work of art. The atmosphere in the classroom suddenly became tense, and all eyes were focused on Leon's hands.
In Leon's palm, a blazing storm of intense heat gradually formed. This flame was unlike any ordinary fireball; it spun and roared, as if it possessed its own life.
Leon didn't stop there; he began to introduce the second element—wind. With a gentle wave of his other hand, a soft breeze was channeled into the firestorm.
Instantly, the flames were lifted by the wind, becoming even more intense and burning even more fiercely. The students watched in breathless awe; they had never witnessed such a spectacular display of magic.
"Fire Wind Spell is a powerful offensive spell that combines the thermal energy of fire with the kinetic energy of wind."
Leon's voice echoed in the classroom, his eyes focused and determined, seemingly completely absorbed in his explanation and no longer paying attention to the students' reactions.
"It can summon a high-temperature firestorm that sweeps across enemies like a raging fire dragon, causing devastating, wide-area burning damage."
Leon paused, giving the students enough time to process the information, before continuing, "When casting the Flame Wind spell, the caster must carefully adjust the power ratio of the fire and wind elements. This is the key to ensuring that the two elements remain balanced during the fusion process."
If the power of the fire element becomes too strong, the wind element may be unable to effectively control the flames, leading to the magic going out of control;
However, if the power of the wind element is too strong, it may extinguish the flames, rendering the magic ineffective. This is a practical application of the principle of balance I mentioned earlier.
"In practice, the caster will first release the fire element in the form of tiny sparks, which are scattered in the air like stars."
At the same time, the caster guides the wind element to carry away these sparks by spinning at high speed, forming gusts of fiery wind. This process vividly demonstrates the theory of fusion.
Leon's explanation made the principles of the Flame Wind spell vivid and engaging, as if the students could see the flame wind forming.
"The effect of the Flame Wind spell is to cover a large area, causing continuous high-temperature damage to all targets within the range. This magic is extremely powerful, but it also needs to be used with caution."
Leon glanced around the classroom and smiled, saying, "I won't continue demonstrating the Flame Wind spell here. After all, our classroom space is limited, and such magic is more suitable for use in an open area. When we have a suitable opportunity, I will demonstrate the true power of the Flame Wind spell outside."
As Leon finished speaking, he gently waved his arm, withdrawing the magical energy from his hand.
The firestorm and blazing winds vanished, leaving behind a classroom full of students immersed in the magic.
Their eyes shone with longing and excitement; everyone wanted to experience the power of this potent magic for themselves.
Leon was satisfied with his explanation and demonstration. In fact, the world of magic is vast and boundless, and the techniques of fusion are not limited to the combination of elemental magic.
He harbored grander visions, such as the fusion of summoning magic and elemental magic. This cross-domain magical fusion could open up entirely new magical realms, but these were matters for the future, and it was not yet time to impart this complex knowledge to his students.
He glanced around the classroom and saw the students' eyes sparkling with a thirst for knowledge and curiosity about magic. A slight smile crept onto Leon's lips.
He knew that these young minds were ready to accept the challenge, even though the road ahead was full of hardship and unknowns.
“You have all done very well,” Leon said gently. “Mastering this knowledge takes time and patience; don’t rush it. The path of magic is long and arduous.”
Each of them has the potential to carry forward the theories they have learned today, and even create new magic that has never been seen before. Leon is looking forward to their future performance.
The school bell rang, signaling the end of this profound and fascinating magic lesson.
Leon tidied his notes and prepared to leave the podium. However, to his surprise, the moment he turned around, all the students stood up in unison, faced Leon, bowed deeply, and said in unison, "Teacher Leon, see you next class."
Leon's gaze swept over the students, a warm feeling welling up inside him, along with a touch of emotion. These young faces, brimming with a thirst for knowledge and aspirations for the future, filled him with immense satisfaction. "See you next class."
Leon turned around, maintaining his dignity as a teacher, and walked out of the classroom without looking back. But at the corner outside the classroom, he stopped, as if waiting for something.
A moment later, Lean appeared at the end of the corridor. She rushed over and stopped in front of Leon, panting.
"Why are you running so fast? It's not like I'm not waiting for you." Leon looked at her, a gentle smile on his lips.
"You have no idea how crowded the hallways are after class. Luckily, I prepared to leave in advance," Lian said breathlessly, but with a bright smile on his face.
“Great.” Lean gave Leon a thumbs up as she took a deep breath, her eyes shining with admiration for him.
"What do you want to eat? I'll take you there." Leon asked Lian as they walked, his eyes revealing genuine concern.
“Anything is fine.” Lian’s answer was simple and casual, with a relaxed smile on her face, clearly not picky about food.
Leon frowned slightly. What he feared most was when others said "whatever," because this answer often meant more choices, and for someone like him who had some difficulty making decisions, it was undoubtedly a small challenge.
He began to quickly search his mind for nearby restaurants, trying to find a good option.
However, Leanne didn't care at all; she really didn't have any particular requirements for food. In her opinion, being able to eat with Leon was already a very happy thing.
No matter what they eat, as long as Leon is by their side, even the simplest food seems to become incredibly delicious.
The two continued walking along the college path, their conversation and laughter blending together to create a pleasant melody.
The students along the way couldn't help but cast envious glances at their close friendship.
