Leon woke up to the gentle embrace of the first rays of morning sunlight.

The events of the past few days have swept through the entire city like a storm, affecting the academy and everyone involved. He felt conflicted, with both concern for how things would develop and thoughts about the future.

After washing up, Leon stood in front of the mirror, carefully examining himself. His eyes revealed a hint of fatigue, and he seemed more weathered than before.

He slapped his cheeks hard with both hands, trying to shake off the weariness and make himself look more energetic. He told himself that no matter what happened, life had to go on.

Leon pushed open the door and greeted the new day. The scenery before him was the same as always: the trees on both sides, the buildings in the distance—everything seemed so familiar, as if silently proclaiming that nothing had changed.

Leon walked down the academy corridor and finally arrived at the door of the dean's office. He paused briefly at the door, a moment of hesitation flashing through his mind, but quickly he made up his mind and gently knocked on the door.

"Please come in," came the dean's voice from inside.

Leon pushed open the door and said politely, "Dean, you wanted to see me?"

He looked at the dean, who was still sitting behind his desk. Although the years had left their mark, the old man's eyes were still bright and his spirit was still full. He couldn't help but feel a sense of emotion.

"Professor Leon, please have a seat. Wait a moment while I finish my work. You can pour yourself a glass of water and rest for a bit," the dean said, looking up and smiling kindly.

Leon pulled out a chair in front of his desk and sat down. His gaze swept around the office before he finally got up and went to the water dispenser, pouring two glasses of water.

"Thank you."

"You're too kind," Leon replied, inwardly admiring the dean's humility and politeness. He sat down, took a sip of water, and waited for the dean to finish his work.

After a moment of silence, the dean finally put down his pen, raised his head, looked directly at Leon, and said in a heavy tone, "The matter of Professor Logan has been resolved. After investigation, it was indeed a suicide. We are all very sorry about this; it is a huge loss. You don't need to take it too hard."

"He has done a great job over the past two years and is a qualified teacher. I just never expected things to turn out this way," the dean said regretfully.

Leon nodded and replied, "I understand."

His tone sounded relatively calm, but the turmoil within him was hard to quell.

He had been pondering whether he should bear some responsibility for Mr. Logan's departure.

Perhaps, if I hadn't gone to see Professor Logan, he might still be living his life at the academy as before. He might live with guilt, but at least he would still be alive. But I can no longer treat him the same way I used to.

He didn't know if the outcome would have been different if he had taken a different approach.

"Perhaps this is the best outcome for him," Leon thought to himself, trying to convince himself to accept the reality.

"Hansen is still missing. He secretly left the hospital and never returned to the academy. Law enforcement is also sending people to look for him. The Adams family has been destroyed, and we don't know where he has gone."

The dean was also deeply moved, never expecting that such a grand ducal mansion would be destroyed in an instant. He recalled the genius who had been praised by all the teachers in the academy, but who had also failed here, and felt a pang of regret.

Leon frowned; he too was unsure of Hansen's possible whereabouts. Hansen was no longer a child who needed constant care; he needed to learn to face life's challenges on his own.

Leon knew he couldn't protect him forever; everyone has to walk their own path in life. While Hansen was still by his side, Leon provided him with as much protection and support as possible, but now, Hansen had chosen his own path.

Hansen is a man of strong opinions, and Leon cannot control his own thoughts. In Leon's opinion, he might choose to investigate the matter on his own and seek the truth. He just hopes that Hansen can stay safe and sound.

"It's truly a pity that the competition couldn't be held successfully." The dean's words were tinged with a deep sigh, and his eyes revealed his helplessness at the outcome.

Upon hearing this, Leon immediately perked up and sat up straight. The cancellation of the match had been a thorn in his side, and he worried that it would affect his previous promises.

Seeing Leon's nervous expression, the dean smiled and reassured him, "Don't worry, although the competition was forced to stop, all the teachers in the academy saw your outstanding performance, and everyone highly recognizes your strength and hard work. Therefore, we have already discussed the matter of Ilya's admission, and it has been approved."

Upon hearing this, Leon breathed a sigh of relief, the heavy burden in his heart finally lifted. He felt a sense of relief; thank goodness, now he could give Philip an explanation and no longer worry about Ilya's future.

"Thank you, Dean, and thank you to every teacher for your trust," Leon said sincerely, a grateful smile on his face.

Perhaps life will really get better in the future. At least for now, although it's been bumpy, it's still progressing in a positive direction.

"If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now." Leon stood up, straightened his clothes, and prepared to leave the dean's office.

"Yes, remember to continue with the classes." The dean looked up, a serious look in his eyes. "Based on student feedback, your classes will be scheduled three times a week. Prepare well, I believe you can do very well."

“Yes, Dean.” Leon nodded, a sense of responsibility welling up inside him.

He knew he had now truly become a teacher, and could now focus on educating and nurturing students at the academy, a life that brought him contentment. He hoped this peace and stability would continue without any further unforeseen events.

Leon walked along the tree-lined path of the academy, sunlight filtering through the leaves and creating dappled patterns of light and shadow. His gaze was suddenly drawn to a familiar figure ahead, and he couldn't help but smile.

"Want to go shopping together?"

"of course."
