"Fifty thousand gold coins!" Ike's eyes lit up when he heard this. My god, after finishing this job, he could retire with all that money. Why bother being an adventurer anymore?

However, Agreed and Hea were unmoved by this; it was just money, after all. So Agreed calmly continued to ask, "Do you know the whereabouts of that vampire?"

The city lord then took out an aerial map of the town and pointed to a street, saying, "His activity range is within a five-kilometer radius of this point. I sent people to search house to house, but we couldn't find any trace of him."

Agreed explained, "High-ranking vampires all possess blood magic. It would be a miracle if your people could find him. To maintain secrecy, that vampire would likely operate at night. So let's search this area at night. You'd better warn the residents of that area not to go out at night."

The city lord agreed, "I will make the arrangements immediately. The future of this city is in your hands."

Agreed nodded, glanced again at the iron cage trapping the lesser demons, and then led his team out of the city lord's mansion.

Agreed first went to find his other teammates. He found Sophie at the martial arts school, then went to Shakda's house and dragged him out. Next, he went to the red-light district and dragged out Rayleigh, that playboy. After all that trouble, Agreed finally managed to assemble his team.

"Captain, what are you doing? I've already paid. Can't we wait until I've enjoyed myself before we talk about anything else?" Rayleigh shouted in dissatisfaction as they sat in the Adventurers' Guild's private council room.

“That’s right, my research is at a critical moment, Captain, that’s not fair of you,” Shakda chimed in.

Sophie, however, asked with great interest, "Captain, is there work to do again? Great, finally we can fight!"

Agreed looked helplessly at the room full of oddballs, inwardly cursing himself for choosing them as his team members. But now he had no choice but to patiently explain, "We have a big job coming up. The bounty is 50,000 gold coins. If you think it's not worth it, you can leave now. I won't force you to stay."

Upon hearing this, Rayleigh immediately changed his tune and said, "Oh dear, Captain, why didn't you say so sooner? As expected of you, you always think of me when there's good news. Long live the Captain!"

Shakda nodded with a smile and said, "Yes, yes, you truly deserve to be our leader."

Agreed said, embarrassed, "You two really showed me what it means to be cold and heartless."

Agreed patrolled the streets alone, wearing night vision goggles. The goggles were developed by Shabak, a guy who, despite his tendency to create trouble, always managed to come up with some surprising gadgets. Each team member also carried a walkie-talkie he had made. Although it was still somewhat primitive, the walkie-talkie's range was more than enough to cover the town. The only drawback was some static.

The six men patrolled the area the city lord had indicated, waiting for the vampires to appear. Just then, a shrill scream pierced the night sky, and all the team members immediately became alert and rushed to the location of the sound.

With the help of the speed-up magic, Agreed was the first to arrive at the scene. A vampire with black hair and pale skin was greedily drinking the blood of the night watchman. Upon seeing this, Agreed immediately cast the fourth-tier spell 'Icebound Spell', freezing the vampire's lower body in the blink of an eye.

The vampire remained calm, its eyes glowing crimson. A torrent of blood gushed from the Night Watchman's wounds, forming a blood arrow that shot towards Agred. Agred hastily cast a magical shield to block the attack, but at that moment, the vampire transformed into a shadowy figure, seemingly without substance, breaking free from the Icebound Curse and instantly appearing before Agred. It swung a claw, the deadly threat emanating from the massive, blood-red claw sending chills down Agred's spine. However, Agred's magical artifacts once again activated, blocking the fatal blow at close range.

After escaping danger, Agreed instantly cast a weakened version of the sixth-tier spell 'Frozen Lands,' freezing the surrounding ground and sprinkling conductive impurities into the ice. The vampire then transformed into a phantom to prevent his feet from freezing. At this moment, Agreed instantly cast the sixth-tier spell 'Descent of Light,' its terrifying light illuminating the night sky while simultaneously drawing countless curses from the residents. (You can try disturbing your neighbors at night with the brightest flashlight; believe me, you might get more than just curses! Note: This is not meant to be offensive, just a joke.)

The light magic exposed the vampire, leaving him nowhere to hide, causing him to collapse to the ground. Upon seeing this, Agreed immediately cast the sixth-tier spell 'Thunder', striking the ice surface. The electric current instantly covered the entire ice surface (Agreed's boots had insulating properties), paralyzing the vampire. Agreed then released the spell 'Light Net' again, attempting to capture the vampire alive. However, unexpectedly, the vampire's pupils turned red, and Agreed instantly felt his blood rush to his head. It felt as if the blood within him was out of control, working against him, and the Light Net thus missed its target.

Agreed then instantly cast the spell 'Mystic Protection' to remove the abnormality from his body. The vampire also used blood magic to emerge from the abnormal state. Immediately afterwards, Agreed instantly cast the spell 'Breathless Wind Blade' again, sending two invisible wind blades flying towards the vampire.

Seeing this, the vampire cast the blood magic 'Blood Shield', and a viscous, oil-like liquid appeared around him, catching both wind blades. However, the liquid was also dispersed by the wind blades.

Knowing he was outmatched, the vampire turned to flee. Just then, Hea arrived and used the natural magic of the elves, with vines sprouting from the ground to bind the vampire. Unfortunately, the vampire once again transformed into a shadow and escaped. Seeing this, Agreed quickly used Wind Walk to give chase.

Just as Hea was about to give chase, a dirty claw slammed down from behind her. Fortunately, Sophie arrived just in time and caught the claw with her longsword. Hea turned around and saw that the victim that the vampire had just bitten had turned into a lesser demon.

Immediately afterward, Ike and Shakda arrived. Heya used vines to bind the lesser demon tightly again, but unexpectedly, the lesser demon also had the ability to turn itself into a phantom and instantly broke free of its restraints. Shakda then told everyone to put on sunglasses and throw out flashbangs, which once again earned a chorus of curses from the residential area. However, the lesser demon was also forced to reveal its true form by the strong light. Afterward, Heya used nature magic to control the lesser demon again.

At that moment, Ike immediately drew his bow and shot an arrow. The arrow was released instantly without hesitation. After hitting the lesser demon, the arrow exploded and blew half of the lesser demon's body apart. Then Sophie followed up with her sword and cut off the lesser demon's head, ending the battle.
