Chapter 17 unlocks the quest to collect plant sap.
After tidying up the space, Deng Yin cooked himself a big meal.
Cut the chicken wings in half and marinate them for 20 minutes with salt, ash powder, fish oil, soy sauce, vinegar, and Shaoxing wine. Heat the oil and pour the marinated chicken wings into the pan, then fry until golden brown on both sides.
Cooking in a large pot is difficult to control the heat, so Deng Yin only added a little bit of firewood.
After pan-frying the chicken wings until cooked, add minced garlic and red chili slices, then add soy sauce, fish oil, and fermented black bean oil. Stir-fry until the chicken wings are coated with color, then sprinkle with some chili flakes. Pour in water and simmer for ten minutes. Before serving, add green bell peppers. Your spicy chicken wings are ready!
To prevent the previous dish from getting cold after the next one was finished, Deng Yin would put each dish into his spatial storage space after it was cooked.
Place pork ribs in a pot of cold water with ginger slices and Shaoxing wine, blanch, skim off the foam, and remove. Prepare a sauce with Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, vinegar, fish oil, and fermented black bean oil. Pour a large amount of sugar into a pot and stir-fry until melted, then add the ribs and stir-fry evenly. Pour in the sauce and water, and simmer until the sauce thickens. Your braised pork ribs are now ready.
The fish grow so fast that you can even catch them with your bare hands if you put your hand into the puddle.
Some of the fish were used to make fish oil, while the rest were processed and stored in the space.
Let's add another fish to dinner!
I cooked the fish the same way I cooked the chicken wings. What a waste! I should have stewed the fish and chicken wings together.
There has to be at least one vegetarian dish out of the three meat dishes.
Tomatoes mixed with white sugar are simple and delicious.
After a busy afternoon, Master Deng was finally able to eat.
Things are different now; the food she cooks now tastes much better than before.
This is all thanks to Deng Yin!
Unable to determine the correct amount of seasoning, she asked the chef at Baiweilou to prepare the seasoning for her in advance, with one portion of seasoning for two pounds of ingredients.
Instead of using bowls, which take up too much space, Deng Yin separated the seasonings with an air wall, so they could be put directly into the pot whenever they wanted to eat.
All the food I bought before was the same, one type in one compartment.
There are no small spaces, only hosts who don't know how to plan!
The contents of Deng Yin's 100-square-meter jade bracelet back then could even rival those of someone else's 200-square-meter bracelet. The space was completely crammed full, without a single gap.
Now it has fallen into decline; the space is too large, greatly reducing the ability to plan for its development.
This can't go on! The space was so dark you couldn't tell day from night. After an unknown amount of time, the final, well-planned layout was finally completed!
The space, which is 750 square meters in total, originally occupied 720 square meters. Now, after the renovation, it immediately gained 100 square meters.
The air wall is compressed to a very thin thickness, only one millimeter, yet it perfectly prevents items inside the two air walls from coming into contact.
After tidying up the space, Deng Yin asked the system, "What's the next task?"
"Collect the juices of one hundred plants." The system's voice reverted to a mechanical tone, seemingly expressing its dissatisfaction with Deng Yin.
Deng Yin didn't have time to think about what the system was thinking; her mind was full of questions. She had already collected plant sap once, so why did she need to collect it again? What did cooling down have to do with collecting plant sap?
Having lived in constant crisis for years, she quickly sensed something was wrong. The tasks given by the system were definitely not given randomly, as could be seen from the first two tasks.
However, plant sap and cooling seem to have no connection.
At most, the temperature drop might kill the plant.
Why collect plant sap instead of plant seeds?
If you can't figure it out, then don't think about it. She's not good at analyzing these things.
In any case, the more of anything you hoard, the better.
For example, she still has a huge pile of feces.
The animals raised here are fed food grown in the space, and their droppings are used to fertilize the land.
It can be considered mutual help.
The water in the space seems to not only stop bleeding, but also make animal meat more tender and their feces less smelly.
It's also good for farming; good manure and good water mean good vegetables will grow too.
The seeds were originally of high quality, so the vegetables grown from them were large and plentiful. With good water and good manure, the growth period of Chinese cabbage was shortened by half, while the size was two to three times that of the original.
Animals that eat better food will produce better poop.
Animals can produce better poop, and vegetables can grow better.
How can this not be considered a virtuous cycle?
The outside world is too dangerous, and the riverbank is more conducive to plant growth. It's not worth going out for a little bit of mud.
But it's worth it to get the plants.
Besides the plants that were previously used to make plant juice, Deng Yin also has 49 other plants.
Riversides and forests are places where plants thrive, but forests are no good; there are too many trees, and those things can be deadly if they hit you.
riverside.
As expected, dense vegetation covered the entire river. If Deng Yinji hadn't told me, I would have almost thought I had gone to the wrong place.
It’s difficult.
With a stun gun in his left hand and a sickle in his right, Deng Yin walked towards the patch of land with the sparsest vegetation.
I don't know if the electric shock stick will work on plants, but I'll give it a try.
Deng Yin cautiously approached a red flower, unsure of its original height. It was now about half her height.
With the stun gun on its highest setting, Deng Yin quickly poked Hua with it while she wasn't paying attention.
Good news, the stun gun works!
Bad news, it was too useful; the flowers were electrocuted and turned to charcoal.
As long as it works, that's fine. Deng Yin turned the stun gun to the lowest setting. He didn't expect to kill the plant with electricity, just to stun it. After it was stunned, he would cut off the roots with a sickle. Without roots, the plant would die, even if it had gained sentience.
Collecting plants becomes very simple with an electric shocker; the lowest setting is enough to stun the plants.
Of course, it could also be electrocuted, since no one can tell whether a plant is stunned or dead.
If it's not blurry, just pretend I'm dizzy.
