Before we knew it, it was springtime in 1939. This was a time of renewal for all things on earth. The reeds in the marshland began to sprout new leaves, like waves of wheat.

Intelligence reports indicate that the Japanese army in Jinghai County has committed another atrocity. They have partnered with local landlords and gentry to establish a reed company, and are particularly vigilant over the coiled reed beds where large white reeds are produced!

The Japanese army was frantically plundering reed resources there, using them for pulping, papermaking, and printing counterfeit currency. The impoverished people in that area suffered terribly. Our troops there had planned to raid the enemy's reed storage facilities under cover of night to thwart some of their objectives. However, they failed, suffering heavy losses. They sent intelligence requesting our support.

After discussion with the higher-ups, Regiment Commander Wei decided to send Cheng Ying and Regiment Commander Wei to lead a team to provide support. By the time they arrived at the support troops' stronghold, it was already past 5 p.m.

Upon arrival, Regiment Commander Wei immediately went to discuss with the local troops how to complete the mission. While Cheng Ying was listening in, she heard them say that they were thinking of destroying the place, burning down all those stacks of reeds, and not wanting the Japanese army to gain any benefit.

Cheng Ying wanted to chime in, but fearing it might be inappropriate, she took the opportunity to tell Regiment Commander Wei her plan after their conversation had ended. "Commander, I have the ability to move every single reed back to our side, but what about the explanation?" Regiment Commander Wei thought for a moment and said seriously, "Even if you move them all back, it won't be appropriate. How about we take control of the Japanese soldiers and landlords in the reed storage area first, and then we can take over the area openly and legitimately?"

Cheng Ying thought for a moment and said, "Then I need to find out what the manpower deployment and distribution are like over there. Give me some time."

Commander Wei thought for a moment, "Okay, I'll go tell them to postpone it by one day. You be prepared to depart at any time." Cheng Ying said seriously, "Yes, sir." After a while, Commander Wei finally came out, "I told them to postpone their departure by one day and wait for your signal." Cheng Ying replied, "Yes, Commander."

After thinking for a moment, Cheng Ying decided that it would be easier to set off at midnight. Under the cover of darkness, Cheng Ying led a team of elite soldiers to infiltrate the reed storage facility. They carefully bypassed the guards and successfully entered the premises. Cheng Ying first instructed her teammates to hide one by one, protecting themselves until she gave them further orders.

Cheng Ying secretly observed the enemy's deployment. She discovered that the Japanese army and local gentry had a large number of men and were heavily guarded. Cheng Ying first made herself invisible, and then used teleportation to observe every place repeatedly. Only after she had a clear understanding of everything did Cheng Ying begin to act.

The walls surrounding this reed storage yard are covered with electric fences over a meter high, blocking off the area. There are no important supplies here, just piles of reeds. Only a small amount of food and some basic necessities are available for the guards. A patrol team of about 50 soldiers patrols in two groups.

The biggest obstacle to taking control of this reed storage facility is the patrol team and some of the landlords and gentry inside, each of whom is armed with highly lethal weapons. To eliminate them all, we'll need to find another way.

Moreover, the two groups each had their own roles and took turns. In fact, the best way was to destroy these haystacks to prevent them from achieving their goal. This would be easy for Cheng Ying, but she was inherently rebellious. Why destroy such good resources? Wouldn't it be better to keep them for herself? Destroying the haystacks was the worst possible solution. Cheng Ying really wanted to try to preserve these resources.

In such difficult times, any resource is extremely precious to our army. Our army also desperately needs paper and cannot allow it to fall into the hands of the Japanese. If the enemy wants to manufacture things that are beneficial to them from our resources, we must do our best to stop and sabotage them.

Cheng Ying first devised a detailed plan using the terrain. Her initial strategy was to disrupt their internal peace. She used her old method: becoming invisible and gradually collecting their weapons, ammunition, and most of their powerful artillery, storing them in her spatial storage. Since the ammunition stored in the warehouse was limited, the main objective was to confiscate the weapons carried by each person. However, after several attempts, she only managed to eliminate about 20 people with her physical strength. The main problem was that everyone was constantly carrying their weapons, and Cheng Ying feared that if she took more, the operation would fail. Therefore, she withdrew and found her team members, discussing the timing of the attack. The team members then began their preparations in earnest.

As dawn broke, Cheng Ying gave the signal to move out. Leading her team, she moved like ghosts, first spotting a patrol of about ten enemy soldiers. Using her supernatural abilities, Cheng Ying instantly trapped them within a barrier, freezing them in place. At that moment, Cheng Ying shouted, "Comrades, fire!" Immediately after her command, the team members opened fire like wolves. After a sweeping mop-up, the men seemed to fall without any resistance, but they truly had no reaction. They were all under Cheng Ying's control, unable to move or fire, completely at her mercy. Cheng Ying and her team quickly confiscated their weapons and continued forward. Encountering each wave of enemy soldiers, they immediately disarmed them. Slowly, the number of enemies in the reed storage yard dwindled until they were completely subdued, thus gaining control of the entire storage yard.
