Cheng Ying had already entered one of the pillboxes and immediately used spatial concealment upon entering. This pillbox was tall and large, with a total height of four stories and a basement at the bottom.

Cheng Ying swiftly entered the basement. It was deserted, containing only supplies: food, firewood, and coal for starting a fire. The place was a chaotic jumble of things, and Cheng Ying quickly stored everything into her spatial storage. To save time, she immediately went to the top floor. There, she saw Japanese soldiers crouching at firing ports, and several windows with people peering out. To avoid alerting them, Cheng Ying threw sleeping bombs into every room on every floor. Soon, everyone was unconscious.

Cheng Ying saw that the group of thirty or forty people was not small, but she couldn't let them go. Slitting their throats with daggers would be a huge undertaking. So she selected a silenced pistol from her spatial storage and took care of them one by one, collecting all the weapons and useful items that needed to be taken.

After finishing this side, there was another one. There was a passage connecting the two pillboxes. Cheng Ying followed this passage to the other pillbox and used the same method to eliminate the enemy soldiers inside. Of course, she also took all the useful weapons and supplies without missing a single one.

An hour later, when everything had settled down, it was already past 3 a.m. When Cheng Ying returned to our unit and discussed the situation with Regiment Commander Wei, they realized it was getting late and they needed to act immediately. Otherwise, if the enemy realized something was wrong and started to retaliate, we would be in trouble. It was better to attack as soon as possible; this was the best time.

Commander Wei ordered an immediate attack. All the soldiers followed Cheng Ying and Commander Wei, rushing towards the gate of Wuqing County. Upon reaching the gate, Commander Wei quickly cleared out the Japanese guards one by one, leaving one team to scout inside the pillbox. The rest of the men charged into Wuqing County. Just then, Cheng Ying detonated the time bomb she had planted.

All that could be heard was a series of booming sounds from the enemy camp, followed by towering flames, screams, and wails. The enemy camp was thrown into chaos. Our troops surged into Wuqing County like a tidal wave, engaging the enemy in a fierce battle. Cheng Ying led from the front, guiding her soldiers in a valiant fight.

Meanwhile, the enemy commander realized he had fallen into a trap and attempted to organize a counterattack. However, when he tried to retaliate, he couldn't find a single weapon, while our army launched a relentless offensive, and the enemy's defenses crumbled step by step.

During the battle, Cheng Ying and Regiment Commander Wei worked closely together, directing the troops to advance rapidly. In truth, our army didn't need to go through all that trouble. The enemy's numbers were already dwindling; a large portion had been obliterated by Cheng Ying's stun grenades and timed bombs. What remained were only remnants, posing little threat. Even if they had guns, our troops could easily eliminate them in a few moves.

The enemy troops fought and retreated, eventually ending up in the courtyard. Finally, they were out of options; they couldn't even fight with bayonets anymore, as they didn't have a single one. After a fierce battle, our army successfully captured Wuqing County, and the remaining enemy forces were forced to surrender. This victory brought our army a valuable strategic advantage and made Cheng Ying a hero in everyone's eyes.

The battle was won, and dawn was breaking! Our troops were so happy that they started singing military songs. The loud singing carried far and wide, attracting the villagers who were hiding in their homes. The villagers came out of their homes one after another and saw that the streets were full of our troops. They cheered with tears in their eyes, saying that their good days were coming because the enemy had been defeated!

The Japanese army committed numerous atrocities in Wuqing County, forcibly abducting women and committing countless other evils, placing immense pressure on the villagers. They initially forced the villagers in the county town to build watchtowers and granaries, offering them no benefit whatsoever, even robbing them of their meager rations. They left the villagers no way to survive; any thought of resistance was quickly suppressed by force. They were oppressed day after day, forced to do things they didn't want to do, and the villagers had long since become terrified. Suddenly, the Japanese army was defeated, and the villagers unleashed their fury, taking stones and sticks to beat the Japanese soldiers, causing them to cry out in pain.
