After following the bandits in Daqingshan for a while, Cheng Ying and her three companions found the road to be extremely rugged and uneven, and increasingly treacherous.

When they followed the bandits to a smooth cliff face, Cheng Ying and the others were still wondering, "Isn't there no path here? Could there be a trap?"

Just then, a bandit put down the grain he was carrying and walked to a big tree. No one knows where he touched, but the smooth stone wall rose up. It turned out there really was a mechanism.

Once the stone wall was fully raised, the bandits went inside one by one.

But after the bandits went inside, the stone gate closed again. When Cheng Ying and the others saw this, they realized they were in trouble!

This bandit's den is difficult to infiltrate! Cheng Ying looked around and noticed several large trees nearby. An idea struck her; she decided to use ropes to climb the trees and see if she could find another way into the bandit's den.

Her companions quickly sprang into action, tying ropes to the trees. Cheng Ying nimbly climbed one of the trees and, standing on high ground, carefully observed her surroundings.

Sure enough, on the distant mountainside, she spotted a small cave that looked like a passage leading into the bandits' hideout. Cheng Ying excitedly pointed it out to her companions below, and they discussed their next plan.

However, just as they were about to take action, a gust of wind blew by, bringing with it the faint sound of footsteps.

Cheng Ying's heart tightened, realizing that a bandit patrol might be approaching.

They must make a decision as soon as possible: whether to continue exploring or retreat temporarily.

Just then, Cheng Ying said, "Liu Xiaoyu and Zhao Di, stay and hide. Zhang Lan, go and tell the comrades down the mountain what's going on. Tell them not to rush up. I'll go in and scout ahead first."

They had barely gotten to this point when they all became anxious. Zhang Lan said, "How can we let you go on such a risk by yourself? If anyone's going, we'll go with them!"

Cheng Ying smiled and said, "You have to believe me. Among us, I'm the best in terms of fighting skills. You have to admit that."

Zhao Di said anxiously, "No matter how good you are, you're still alone. Why don't I go with you?"

Cheng Ying said, "There's no need to argue anymore. They're coming soon. If I go alone, I'll be a smaller target, and I also have my own way of escaping if things get dangerous. If any of you come with me, I'll have to take care of one more person. Let's do this quickly and hide. Once I go in, just do as I say, and I'll come out as soon as possible."

In this tense moment, the three of them dared not argue with Cheng Ying any longer and immediately hid.

Soon after, the footsteps grew closer, and we saw six bandits constantly observing their surroundings. They circled the area once and then moved on to another place. It seemed that these bandits were also very vigilant, so we all had to be extremely careful from now on.

After Cheng Ying successfully climbed the tree and entered the cave, she gestured to the three of them and then plunged inside.

The cave wasn't as dirty or messy as I'd imagined; it looked like it was regularly cleaned, indicating that people frequently walked through it.

To be on the safe side and avoid encountering bandits, Cheng Ying used her special ability to hide her figure.

I didn't expect this cave road to be so long. After walking for so long, we still haven't reached the exit.

Cheng Ying walked for a while longer before she saw a bend in the road. After carefully turning the corner, she found another passage with a set of steps leading down. Cheng Ying also discovered a serious problem: the path only allowed two people to walk side by side, meaning it was not wide.

Cheng Ying walked down the steps, and it got darker and darker. She could only carefully feel her way forward.

Suddenly, she heard a faint sound coming from ahead, as if someone was talking.

She immediately stopped, held her breath, and cautiously observed her surroundings.

The sounds grew clearer, and Cheng Ying recognized them as two men's voices, seemingly discussing something important.

She crept closer, trying to hear their conversation, but accidentally stepped on a loose stone, making a crisp sound.

The two men instantly became alert, and one of them shouted, "Who's there?" Cheng Ying's heart tightened, and she turned around and ran quickly towards the top of the steps, while using her special ability to conceal herself within it.

The man chased after her, searching everywhere but finding nothing. After the man went back, Cheng Ying, in stealth mode, pursued him again.

When she arrived at the original spot, she could no longer hear them talking, so Cheng Ying continued walking forward.

After exiting this place, there was an even larger cave. He looked inside and found several smaller caves, so Cheng Ying walked towards those smaller caves.

In one of the caves, there was a room full of grain, which was probably the batch of grain that had been stolen from the villagers. Cheng Ying did not touch the grain in the room; she first looked at the next cave.

The cave was filled with boxes. Cheng Ying inspected them and found guns, ammunition, and several boxes of jewelry, antiques, and jade. Cheng Ying was overjoyed; she had just made a small fortune. Then, with a wave of her hand, Cheng Ying stored all the boxes into her spatial storage.

Cheng Ying happily continued walking to the next room.

As they approached the next room, Cheng Ying heard voices inside. She quickly concealed herself and went in to find that the bandits were having a meeting in the room!

All that was heard was a man who seemed to be the leader saying, "Everyone has worked hard. If you all work hard these days, we won't have to worry about food in the winter."

The others immediately replied, "It's not hard work at all; our leader is just thinking of all of us."

Someone else said, "Boss, we've looted almost all the grain in the area. When are we going to stop? Otherwise, we'll attract the Eighth Route Army, and that won't be good."

The leader hesitated for a moment, then said, "If there's no other place with a large amount of grain, we should stop immediately to avoid any unforeseen complications."

Cheng Ying thought to herself, "Ha! These bandits are quite cunning! Don't worry, none of them will escape!"
