My sister is Luna

Chapter 98 Abyss Hell

"Boss, boss, are we really going somewhere?" a shifty-eyed man asked, his voice filled with fear and hesitation.

"Nonsense! With such a treasure right in front of us, how can we give it up!"

The burly bandit leader spoke impatiently, his eyes gleaming with a burning light, a light filled with greed and determination, as he led his men forward.

"But, but, that place eats people!" the shifty-eyed man cried out timidly, his voice trembling and his legs shaking uncontrollably.

"Hmph, so what? If you're not strong enough, you'll die here. You can't blame anyone else," the bandit leader said coldly.

“But we’re different. We’re well-prepared, with top-quality inscriptions and equipment. We’re also a top-tier team, don’t you think?” the bandit leader said smugly.

The thugs behind him grinned and responded, their laughter echoing jarringly in the empty wilderness.

"That's right, mountains of gold and silver are beckoning to us! Even if it's a demon, so many of us can destroy it. If it wants to live, it'll have no choice but to obediently offer up these treasures, begging us like a dog, hahaha..."

"Enough with the nonsense. Your words will only demoralize the troops and prevent us from getting closer to the treasure. I don't want to hear them again. Just lead the way!" A cold glint flashed in the bandit leader's eyes, a gaze that seemed capable of freezing a person.

"Yes...!" The shifty-eyed man trembled and shouted. He dared not say another word.

"We need to pick up the pace, everyone keep up, we can't let the others get ahead." The bandit leader took the lead, leading the group forward with firm and hurried steps.

"Oh! Oh! Oh!" With cheers, the thieves rushed forward, their target the ominous "black hole" that seemed to be embedded in the earth.

……

"We've arrived, and this is truly magnificent," the bandit leader remarked, gazing fearlessly into the abyss, as if what lay before him was not a terrifying abyss, but a treasure trove overflowing with riches.

This is a pitch-black abyss, like a crack in the earth, bottomless, or like a dark, deep eye staring at something.

The abyss stared at the thieves, and the thief leader stared back at the abyss; the boundless darkness sent a chill down the spines of the others.

Within a hundred meters of the abyss lies scorched black soil, seemingly eroded and burned by flames, a desolate and uninhabited place, yet it is the site of a coveted treasure legend.

The legend of the treasure is of unknown origin and its source is untraceable. It seems to have arisen naturally, attracting countless thieves who never find it, and its remains are never recovered.

"Looks like someone got here first, boss," someone said.

On the other side of the abyss, not far from them, stood a man dressed as a wandering swordsman, with a short sword and a long saber at his waist, staring blankly to the left and right.

"He's just one person, ignore him. Finding the treasure is the priority." Seeing other groups of thieves arriving one after another, the bandit leader knew time was of the essence and began to call to his men, preparing to enter the abyss.

Although the rumors that this bottomless abyss has devoured many people have never ceased, it still cannot stop the greedy and fanatical treasure-hunting hearts of the thieves and madmen; for them, the treasure is the most important thing.

"Hmm?" Miyamoto Musashi noticed something was wrong and looked around at the desolate surroundings.

"Where is this? Am I lost again?" He scratched his head, full of questions, looking at the endless abyss and then at the blueprints in his hand.

"That's strange. I followed the map exactly, so how did I get lost?" Miyamoto Musashi said, frustrated.

"This place...it looks just like the abyss the teahouse owner described."

"That's a man-eating abyss, and it's said that a demon lives in it."

"That's definitely not a place for the living to go."

The boss's words of admonition still echoed in my ears.

Miyamoto Musashi said thoughtfully:

"A demon, a powerful being, worthy of a encounter. I wonder how it compares to Xu Fu?"

"Since I'm already lost, and I'm already here, it would be a shame not to go and meet you. I'll use you as a whetstone to challenge the masters of Chang'an."

As he said this, Miyamoto Musashi's fighting spirit grew stronger, and he forgot about his boss's words. Now, he only looked forward to the battle against the legendary demon.

“A group of people are coming from over there, but they are too weak. They seem to be here to explore this abyss. Perhaps I can follow behind them to avoid getting lost again.”

With that, Miyamoto Musashi walked behind the thieves, keeping his distance.

Once everything was ready, the thief leader grabbed his superior and led the thieves into the abyss.

The abyss was incredibly steep and pitch black, making it extremely dangerous. Most thieves would stop here, and those who tried to go further would either fall to their deaths or go insane due to the steepness and psychological pressure of the darkness. But these thieves chatted and laughed, walking as if on flat ground, carrying torches, relaxed and carefree, and went deeper and deeper.

Their shoes are specially made, providing excellent grip. They are also quite strong, and have high-level rune enhancements. All of this is what they prepared for their search for treasure.

"Boss, he's following behind us," someone whispered, pointing to Miyamoto Musashi.

“I told you not to worry about him. He’s a lone lone wolf. This place is a cliff, not a good place to fight. I’m in a good mood today, so if he’s not a problem, we’ll just let him follow me. We can use him to test the waters when we find the treasure location,” the bandit leader said with a sinister smile.

It grew deeper and darker, and the torch could barely illuminate itself, appearing precarious.

But these madmen were fearless and instead enjoyed commenting on it.

"Bats always guide people to the graves of the dead; those burial goods must be the treasure we're looking for."

"Poor giant serpent, legend says you could support the spine of the world, but now you can only stare at us helplessly, hahaha..."

"The once majestic beasts are now nothing more than fossils that can fetch a good price."

With his profound skill, Miyamoto Musashi could see strange beasts on the cliff face, some like snakes, others like tigers, and all sorts of other strange beasts surging out, their mouths wide open in a ferocious manner, yet they remained motionless. Over time, they had been transformed into exquisite fossils.

"What is that?" After walking for an unknown amount of time, the thieves finally saw a light ahead.

The light, the dazzling light, seemed to pierce through billions of years of darkness, irresistible, making people yearn, yearn to touch the treasure.

The light illuminated the vast space, adding a golden hue to the cliffs, and an ancient, colossal gate stood before them.

"Yo, welcome to my territory. After thousands of lonely years, I thought humanity had forgotten me." A heavy voice suddenly appeared, with a flippant tone.

"Congratulations, finally someone has managed to traverse this dangerous and steep path to get here." A purple figure appeared faintly in front of the door.

The moment the purple figure appeared, Miyamoto Musashi became alert. He gripped his sword hilt, poised to strike, his heart pounding with excitement. This was definitely a worthy opponent to fight.

"No, I've heard of you. You're a demon, aren't you? You've traveled among those blazing gems, and you've been generous in sharing them." The thief stared intently at the purple figure.

"I believe you will share the treasure with us; it is a necessary reward for us brave souls who have come to you."

The bandit leader pointed to the large group of people who were arriving one after another behind him, and grinned, his smile filled with greed and madness.

Madmen have nothing to fear. Neither demons nor even gods can stop their arrogant pursuit of treasure. Anything that stands in their way will be ruthlessly eliminated, and this is no exception.

"Yes, yes, that's right, I'm happy to share, but I need a little power to showcase my taste, my prestige, and my treasures."

The demon nodded with satisfaction, and one could almost see his wicked grin spreading across his face.
