My sister is Luna

Chapter 2 My sister is Luna!

Cain is now six years old. After a year, he still knows nothing about this golden energy. The only thing he knows is that it is strengthening his body and every cell in it. It should be harmless to his body and is even slowly strengthening it. Perhaps this is his cheat code as a transmigrator.

Although the changes in his body were still very subtle, he could still feel that he was much stronger than his peers and his senses were more acute. He was a recognized genius in the clan.

After searching through all the clan's books without finding any relevant information, Cain finally decided to let things take their course. He then remembered the Moon Clan's magic, a powerful force similar to magic.

The Moon Clan's magic path involves imbuing weapons with the power of nature, and the source of this power comes from fragments of miracles. However, according to clan rules, only one descendant in the entire clan can inherit this power.

The outcome is no different from death. As a veteran player, Cain is familiar with the storyline of the game. After thinking it over, it seems that only martial arts are suitable for him now. He can strengthen himself by combining martial arts with golden energy cultivation.

Cain stopped thinking because his sister, Luna, had arrived.

Isn't it more important to play with my sister than to waste time thinking about these things?

He could cultivate power whenever he wanted, but he might only have eighteen short years to spend with his sister. He wasn't sure if he could stop the disastrous inheritance ceremony, or if he would end up on the same path as the original Kai.

But now is not the time to worry unnecessarily. Luna is still more than ten years away from coming of age, so we can take our time to plan.

My sister's happiness is more important than anything else!

"Brother, brother, hug me." Four-year-old Luna raised her little hands and said in a childish voice to little Cain, who was not much taller than her. From the time Luna could talk, she had been very attached to Cain, and Cain, of course, enjoyed this little sister's dependence on her brother.

"Little sister, how can I carry you? We're about the same height, okay?" Cain said helplessly, looking at Luna.

"Ugh..." Little Luna's eyes welled up with tears when she heard the rejection.

After Luna was born, Cain always helped his mother take care of her to make things easier for her. Although he was also a child, Cain had the body of a child but the mind of an adult. He displayed a maturity and understanding that was far beyond his years, like a genius.

From changing her younger sister's diapers and combing her hair to introducing her to the world, to gently rocking the cradle and singing to lull her to sleep, Cain did everything with patience.

To outsiders, Cain's small frame seemed to conceal an incredibly strong heart. He always managed to come up with ways to deal with his sister's crying or other unexpected situations. Whether it was soothing her with gentle words or amusing her with various tricks, Cain always had his own way of making his sister smile again.

Perhaps it is this sense of responsibility and wisdom beyond his years that makes Cain so adept at taking care of his sister, as if he were born to be a responsible older brother.

"Okay, okay, I'll carry you." Upon seeing the tears, Cain immediately couldn't handle it. He was half a head taller than her, so he could only lift little Luna up a few centimeters and spin her around a few times.

"Hahaha..." Little Luna laughed excitedly.

Cain was holding little Luna when she was laughing so hard that her foot slipped and she fell.

Cain quickly shielded his sister, falling to the ground first, with his sister nestled against his chest.

"Hehehe...Brother." Little Luna chuckled, nestling her head in Cain's arms.

"Are you alright, little sister? Don't move around too much next time you spin around, it's dangerous." Cain rubbed Luna's little head, and she squinted her eyes like a cat being petted.

“Okay, brother.” Luna nodded obediently.

……

That year, Luna was 7 years old and Cain was 9 years old. Children of the Moon Clan began learning martial arts at the age of seven. In just two years, Cain achieved some success, and his martial arts strength had reached level 5. At such a young age, he had already completed one-third of the 15th level realm. He was regarded as a prodigy by his clan and was considered to have the potential to become a god. He was undoubtedly the leader among his peers and the strongest genius in the Moon Clan in modern times.

At the same time, the annual martial arts tournament of the Sunset Temple begins. This is an important social event and grand occasion for the Moon Clan, since everyone except the clan leader is a martial artist.

However, Luna was sick at the time and could not go, so she was allowed to rest and look after the house. The entire village of Lake Evan was made up of the Moon Clan, with only the clan chief being a direct descendant, but the position of clan chief was filled by seven people from collateral branches competing for it.

The entire clan of over a hundred people were going to watch the martial arts tournament, leaving Luna alone to guard this empty, remote, and secluded village.

But how could Cain do something like abandoning his sister to enjoy himself? So he volunteered to stay and take care of her. Everyone in the tribe knew that Cain was famous for loving his sister, so they didn't say much and agreed to his request.

"Brother, thank you for staying here with me. It's all my fault that you couldn't go to the martial arts tournament." Luna said with a hint of self-reproach, her face flushed as she covered herself with the blanket.

"What are you talking about? Is the martial arts tournament more attractive than my sister?" Cain said, sitting on the edge of the bed, pretending to be angry. He placed a hot, damp towel on her forehead and gently patted her head. "Besides, I've been to the martial arts tournament several times. It's all fighting and dancing. I'm tired of it. I'd rather stay here with my sister."

"Hehe, thank you, brother~" Luna said sweetly, then kissed Cain when he wasn't looking. Her face turned even redder, whether from a high fever or shyness, it was hard to tell.

"Little brat, how dare you be so disrespectful!" Cain roared, though the smile on his face betrayed him.

"Get some rest." Upon hearing this, Luna immediately closed her eyes.

Cain looked at Luna, touching the spot on his face where Luna had kissed him, feeling happy.

My dear sister still loves me so much! I'm so happy!

"Brother, you're so kind. When I grow up, I want to marry you and be your bride," Luna said, her little face flushed, having opened her eyes at some point.

"Do you know what marriage is?" Luna's sudden question startled Cain.

"Of course I know. Marriage is about marrying someone you love, and I love my brother the most!"

"Wh-what? You silly girl, what are you saying? I like you too, but how can you marry me?" Cain was stunned for a moment. It was the first time he had been confessed to by a girl, even though she was his sister. He could only pretend to be calm and say this.

What kind of incestuous development is this? A sister marrying her brother—even though it's just innocent talk from a child, simply expressing affection, I'm actually getting a little excited. Cain, Cain, you're the older brother, Luna's good role model! How could you have such thoughts! This isn't what a good older brother should do!

Cain questioned himself inwardly.

"Why can't I marry you, brother?" Luna asked, blinking her big eyes.

“Ahem, Luna, we’re siblings, and siblings can’t marry. If you’re wondering why, that involves some science,” Cain said seriously, snapping out of his reverie.

“Okay… but Mom said that siblings marrying can keep the bloodline pure,” Luna said, somewhat disappointed.

Oh my god, Cain covered his face. Mom, what have you been teaching your little sister?!

"Oh, why are you talking about these things? It's still early. I'll buy you something to eat once you're better," Cain said, using his distraction tactic.

"Okay! I want strawberry flavor, and orange flavor too!" Luna immediately became happy when she heard that her favorite snacks were available.

Phew... We finally changed our focus. Where were we talking about?

Cain breathed a sigh of relief.

Crunch!

A loud snapping sound rang out, followed by the clanging of metal.

Cain was alert; it was the voice of an outsider, and they meant no good!

"Brother?" Luna heard it too. She looked at Cain, her voice filled with fear of the unknown.

"Don't be afraid, Luna. Stay here quietly. I'll be right back." Cain smiled and patted Luna's head.

Then he stood up, gripped the longsword he always carried, and slowly walked out of Luna's room.
