My sister is Luna

Chapter 111 The Arrogant Scythe

A scarlet figure moved swiftly through the desert, as still as a shadow and as fast as the wind. Every move was skillful and experienced, without any superfluity. The figure was agile and nimble, as if it had become one with the desert.

However, a group of bandits on horseback followed closely behind her, their hooves kicking up clouds of dust, seemingly relentlessly pursuing her.

"Hey, woman, stop right there!" the bandit leader shouted, his voice rough and fierce. He grabbed his bow and arrow, drew it to its full extent, and a sharp arrow whistled as it flew towards the crimson figure.

"Tsk, keep chasing me. If you're looking for death, don't blame me for being impolite!" Mulan stopped, an arrow shot near her feet. Her eyebrows furrowed, her face full of displeasure.

Originally, she was patrolling the desert to see if there was anything unusual, and also to find out the origin of the Dark Tyrant who instigated the Great Wall war. Even she was shocked by the abyss-like hatred. Why did these demons hate the Great Wall so much? So she thought it was necessary to investigate.

As a result, they encountered bandits. Perhaps it was because of Mulan's beautiful and heroic appearance that the bandit leader took a liking to her and wanted to entangle her.

But Mulan's current goal isn't to fight these wandering bandits; she just wants to shake them off. But they're really persistent, chasing after her relentlessly until now.

"Finally stopped, huh? Did you give in? Hahahaha..." the bandit leader laughed smugly, his eyes greedily scanning Mulan.

"Huh? I stopped to kill you all, of course. You'd better run while you still have time!" Mulan said with disdain and contempt, gripping the greatsword on her back.

"You bastard, how dare you!" One of the bandits, unable to contain his anger, tried to draw his sword.

"It's okay, I like people with strong personalities. Come on, tell me more, I love listening..."

The bandit leader stopped him, his face full of filth and disgust. He ordered the other bandits to ride their horses and gradually surround Mulan.

"But the markings on her armor are those of the Great Wall Guard, hahaha... This is the first time I've ever heard of a woman in the Great Wall Guard, the enemy's woman... I'm getting happier and happier."

The bandit leader laughed arrogantly, his mind consumed by desire, preventing him from thinking anything else.

"I really can't communicate with you guys..." As soon as she finished speaking, Mulan threw a light sword, which spun and flew towards the legs of the horse under the bandits.

"咴咴!"

The horse was startled and its front legs lifted high. The bandit quickly gripped the rope with one hand to control the horse and maintain its balance, while using his curved knife to slash at Mulan who was running towards him.

The moment Mulan moved forward, she drew her greatsword and spun it horizontally, slicing a bandit and his horse in half at the waist. His upper body and the horse's head flew off and he fell to the ground, his face filled with an expression of disbelief and terror. His lower body was still on the back of the dead horse, a gruesome death.

Hua Mulan seized the flying light sword and hung it behind her waist. She held the broad heavy sword in both hands, secretly gathering her strength. Her movements were fluid, clean, and efficient.

"Go! Capture them alive!" The bandit leader gave the order as the battle began.

The bandits rode around Mulan, who was in an attacking stance, their weapons poised to strike. They were ready to attack at the slightest opening she made.

"Hey, what kind of heroes are you guys who bully a woman? Let me teach you a lesson!"

An untimely, childish voice came from the outskirts of the bandits.

"Boss, are they here to rescue her?" A bandit looked at his leader, waiting for his instructions.

"Quickly, send five men to capture him. Maybe we can use him to blackmail this woman. Her defensive stance is so tight that we can't find any weaknesses. I don't have much time to waste with her." The bandit leader said impatiently as he rode his horse.

"Yes!" Five bandits stepped out from the encirclement.

"There he is!" The five bandits who ran out saw a red-haired boy with two scythes wielding him running towards them with a wild smile on his face.

"Little brat, come with us obediently." The bandit rode up to the boy and reached out to grab his head.

"laugh--"

It was the sound of flesh being torn apart.

"Ah!" With a scream, the bandit's outstretched arm was severed by the flying scythe, and blood gushed out like a fountain.

"Damn it, I'll fucking kill him! Attack him together, I'm going to chop off his hands and feet!"

The bandit, his hand severed, was overwhelmed with pain and rage. He drew his curved sword from his waist and slashed at the boy, as the powerful hooves of the galloping horse trampled towards him.

The other four bandits also went to help, riding their horses to attack the red-haired boy from all sides.

"Death!"

"Hahaha, too slow, too slow!" The red-haired boy laughed wildly, shifting his feet and dodging backward, the curved blade brushing past him.

The moment after dodging, the boy swung his scythe, the interlocking chains connected to it making a scraping sound.

"laugh--"

It was the sound of a sickle piercing flesh.

"Ah!" the one-handed bandit cried out in pain as the sickle pierced his shoulder.

"Hey! Ha!" The red-haired boy gripped the chains tightly, veins bulging on his hands, and pulled hard.

Suddenly, a tremendous force struck, and with a loud bang, the bandit was thrown from his horse and landed on the ground, his blood soaking the yellow sand; he was already lifeless.

The boy sheathed his scythe and looked at them with a bloodthirsty smile.

"Such a frail body, yet possesses such monstrous strength?!" The other bandits were astonished and dared not be careless. They began to prepare for battle, their curved blades flashing as they thrust towards the boy.

"Feilian is very excited. Feilian believes he can take on five opponents at once!" A joyful, even somewhat manic voice came from the red-haired boy's mouth.

The boy dodged the attack and launched his scythe again. This time, he didn't pull anyone down, but instead used the chain to fly towards the bandits. With another scythe, he slashed at their necks, ending one of them. He repeated this process until all five bandits were wiped out by the red-haired boy.

On the other side, Mulan's powerful strike, with its earth-shattering sword energy, killed almost half of the bandits on the spot. Their bodies were mangled and twisted like willow catkins in the wind, falling to the ground, ending their sinful lives.

The other bandits were immediately terrified and retreated, but Mulan swung her light sword and moved with ghostly steps around each of them.

After Mulan finished doing all this, she stopped. The scene was quiet. The frightened horses ran around in all directions. The bandits fell off their horses, each with several holes in their bodies, bleeding profusely. They were all dead, and no one survived.

The swordsmanship, with its fluid movements—swinging and sheathing in one smooth motion—was incredibly skillful, allowing the user to switch seamlessly between light and heavy swords. It was dazzling and terrifying.

"Little brother, well done, you've got some skills." Mulan praised the red-haired boy who had single-handedly dealt with five bandits after the battle.

"Hehe, thanks for the compliment." The red-haired boy scratched his head shyly, unlike his previous wildness.

"Big sister, you're amazing too. You took down all the remaining dozen or so bandits."

"It's alright, but you, at such a young age, kill without any burden. Such courage is extraordinary." Mulan recalled the boy's fighting style.

"If you want to survive in this desert, you have no choice but to do this. Besides, they are all wicked people who deserve to die," the red-haired boy said with a forlorn shrug.

"Too."

Mulan nodded in understanding. The once prosperous Cloud Desert was no more; it was now filled with chaos, violence, and disorder. To survive, one had no choice but to do these things.

Only then did Mulan look at the red-haired boy's face.

He was about 170cm tall, with a thin body, messy and unkempt scarlet hair, and a pair of red wolf ears that showed his identity as a half-demon. He held a rare weapon called a flying scythe, and his face still had some traces of childishness.

"My younger brother's name is Baili Xuance..."

Looking at the face and bloodshot eyes of Baili Shouyue, a new member of the Great Wall team, Hua Mulan felt a pang of emotion and tentatively asked:

"Are you... Baili Xuance?"
