"Wei Dong? What are you doing here?" Lin Wangshu looked in the direction of the voice and was surprised to find that it was Jiang Wei Dong calling her.

Jiang Weidong didn't reply to her. His gaze slid down her face to Zhou Lin's hand holding Lin Wangshu's arm. The joy in his eyes faded, gradually turning cold. The coldness in his eyes almost materialized and severed Zhou Lin's hand.

Zhou Lin looked at Lin Wangshu's joyful face. She was as cold as ice when facing him, but when she looked at this man, she smiled as brightly as spring flowers. It seemed that this was the man she liked.

Zhou Lin felt a pang of regret. He had been attracted to Lin Wangshu's family background, but he thought she was too young and inexperienced in matters of the heart to be easily swayed. However, he hadn't expected her to be so naive as Bai Ge, and she already had someone in her heart. He feared he wouldn't be able to have his way.

Sensing the man's unfriendly gaze, Zhou Lin released his grip, still wearing a gentle smile. Looking at his flight jacket, he knew he must be a pilot. A barely perceptible hint of jealousy flashed in his eyes. He moved closer to Lin Wangshu and asked her familiarly, "Xiao Lin, do you two know each other?"

Seeing how close he was to Lin Wangshu, Jiang Weidong narrowed his eyes, his face turning ashen.

Lin Wangshu felt disgusted and got goosebumps when she heard Zhou Lin's words. This person was like a toad. Even if you slap him, he would still stick to you with a smile and disgust you.

She jogged towards Jiang Weidong, not caring why he had come to the hospital, grabbed his hand, and whispered urgently, "Let's go first, don't pay attention to him, he's very outgoing."

Jiang Weidong felt the warm and delicate touch in his hand, and his expression softened immediately. Hearing Lin Wangshu's words, he chuckled softly, squeezed her hand, and whispered back, "Okay, I'll listen to you."

Zhou Lin watched their backs as they walked hand in hand, as if avoiding a plague. There was no one around, and he even had a slight smile on his face, though his eyes were somewhat cold. He thought of the white dove in the ward. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, he was still the kind and reliable Brother Zhou.

After walking a distance, Lin Wangshu realized she was still holding Jiang Weidong's hand. Feeling a little awkward, she pulled her hand away and coughed lightly, saying, "Why did you come to the hospital?"

After the slippery object was pulled from his hand, Jiang Weidong rubbed his fingertips with some reluctance. "I came to visit my wounded comrade-in-arms. But what are you doing at the hospital?"

Lin Wangshu recounted the story in two or three sentences, glancing left and right but refusing to look at him.

Jiang Weidong became interested, recalling her bold appearance last time. Why was she so reserved today? He quickly walked up to her, crossed his arms, and walked backwards to look at her. He said leisurely, "Little Moon, you were so bold last time. Why are you shy with your brother today?"

Seeing that he was asking a question he already knew the answer to, Lin Wangshu felt wronged, her eyes filled with tears, and she gave him a resentful look, pouting as she said, "You already have a girlfriend, why are you still teasing me like this? Is it fun?"

After saying that, she could no longer hold back the tears in her eyes, and they rolled down her cheeks. Not wanting him to see her and embarrass herself, she stubbornly turned her head to the side.

Jiang Weidong watched her cry silently, biting her lip without making a sound, her shoulders trembling slightly. He panicked instantly because he had heard An Jie read "Dream of the Red Chamber" when he was young. He felt that a girl's tears were more precious than pearls. Seeing Lin Wangshu sobbing now, he felt anxious and heartbroken. He reached out to catch the tears sliding down her cheeks.

"How could I be teasing you? Where would I find someone else? Right now, all I think about, long for, and like is you. You're really wronging me."

Jiang Weidong was somewhat at a loss as he tried to comfort her. Lately, whenever he had free time, his mind was filled with Lin Wangshu. He already knew in his heart that he had fallen for her. At this moment, he was so anxious that he blurted out what was on his mind.

Lin Wangshu was taken aback. After hearing him say that he liked her, half of the grievance in her heart dissipated. Her face flushed slightly, but she still pouted and said, "Isn't she just Li Lu from our art troupe? You even wrote her a letter, saying things like 'A fair maiden is sought after by a gentleman.' How come I didn't know you had this talent? You even gave her a watch. Your allowance must be really high!"

Jiang Weidong was completely bewildered. He hadn't done any of these things! He cried out in protest, "I don't even know who this Li Lu is! Where am I supposed to write her a letter and send her a watch?!"

Lin Wangshu sniffed, and seeing his serious expression, she began to believe him. She didn't think Jiang Weidong was the kind of person who would be irresponsible; he was the kind of person who would take responsibility for his actions. So she asked with some doubt, "Then why did she say that her boyfriend's name is Jiang Weidong, and that he's a pilot, and that they met when he went to your base for a performance? If it's not you, then who is it?"

Jiang Weidong thought about it carefully and felt that the person was Zhang Dong. He remembered that Qin Feng had mentioned that this guy was dating the star of the dance troupe, sending letters and watches to her, being very attentive. It must be this Li Lu. So he quickly explained, "You must be talking about Zhang Dong. We both have the character 'Dong' in our names. There must be a mistake. If you don't believe me, I'll have him explain it to you personally later."

Seeing his confident demeanor, Lin Wangshu realized that she might have really misunderstood. She wiped away her tears with embarrassment, but she was unwilling to admit defeat. She stubbornly said, "Then why didn't you write to tell me if you liked me? You made me misunderstand for so long."

Jiang Weidong breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she had finally stopped crying. He said, "Didn't I mean to tell you in person? Besides, didn't I hand over all my allowances? Doesn't that prove anything?"

"What does it represent?" Lin Wangshu asked persistently.

"It means I consider you my lover," Jiang Weidong stammered shyly. He noticed that his married comrades all sent their stipends to their wives, and An Jie controlled the finances in his own home, so he wanted to express his feelings in a subtle way.

Lin Wangshu finally smiled with satisfaction. Looking at Jiang Weidong's bright red ears, she felt a surge of desire and her courage grew. She said with ill intent, "Then you have to make it up to me."

How do you want me to make it up to you?

Lin Wangshu looked at the people coming and going in the corridor, pulled him quickly to the stairwell, and the stairwell door was slammed shut, the sound echoing around.

"What are we doing here?" Jiang Weidong asked, puzzled. He looked around and saw that the place was empty and quiet. A door blocked out all the noise from the corridor. He hadn't realized that he had wandered into a demon's cave like Tang Sanzang.

Lin Wangshu walked up to him with her hands behind her back. The two of them stood to the toes, then she looked up at him. Although her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment, her eyes were bright and sparkling. She opened her lips and whispered, "I want you to kiss me."
