He Lan Tianxia

Chapter 188 Escape

Perhaps as a sign of courtesy from the octopus, the fireball rolled over automatically when Murong Junlan reached the lakeside. Murong Junlan didn't stand on ceremony and stepped onto it. With the experience from last time, Murong Junlan used the fireball with great ease this time, quickly reaching the spot where the small painted boat had sunk last time.

The gorilla was still jumping around, studying its capsized boat. Seeing Murong Junlan approaching again, it assumed he was going to steal its little pleasure boat, so it adopted a pleading posture and squatted there, refusing to move. The gorilla's martial arts skills were inferior to Murong Junlan's, but it wasn't afraid of him. However, today Murong Junlan had a dark face, looking like he was filled with bitterness and hatred, so the gorilla glanced at him a few more times. And what it saw next was terrifying—it saw that vicious woman behind it, riding a water jetpack towards it, looking as if she could easily devour it alive.

The gorilla's legs went weak. It was afraid of this woman, not because of her martial arts skills, but because of her cruel methods. Unlike Murong Junlan, she was not merciful and forgiving. If she didn't like you, she would kill you.

It had to escape. The gorilla made up its mind. It slid its legs from a squatting position into the water, its legs touching the fireball in the water. It now understood the fireball's nature. It fell into the water and let the fireball help it escape.

Hey! What happened? The gorilla slipped into the water and frantically tried to urge the fireball on with its feet, but the fireball didn't budge. Had it stepped on a dead fireball? Oh dear, what bad luck! The gorilla stomped its feet in anger. This crucial moment had let it down! The gorilla was so angry it wanted to kick the dead fireball to death a few more times.

As the gorilla kicked, it realized something was wrong. Why couldn't it kick anymore? And its body was being hoisted up. Oh dear, it must be that wicked woman. The gorilla started clawing and thrashing about, determined to escape that wicked woman's clutches. It was now regretting not stepping on the fireball to leave earlier, instead of rummaging through this wrecked ship.

The gorilla frantically clawed with its two front paws, hoping to accidentally strike the white-haired woman's vitals and escape her clutches. So, it shook its wet head and opened its eyes wide to see where the wicked woman's vulnerable spot was.

Splash! A wave of lake water crashed down. It shook its head, and another wave crashed down. Just as the gorilla was about to open its eyes, with a bang, the half-capsized little pleasure boat was lifted up and then thrown back down, completely submerging it in the water with a thud.

The gorilla was dizzy from the impact, its eyes seeing stars. But being a clever monkey with martial arts skills, the gorilla quickly recovered. It grasped at the last straw, desperately searching for the fireballs in the water. Finally, it stepped on two fireballs, pushed off with its legs, and tilted its head back, about to sink to the bottom.

What's going on? I can't move? Whose hands are those? How dare they hang me upside down? The gorilla opened its eyes and saw a face so handsome it was almost otherworldly, with eyes staring at it expressionlessly, making the gorilla's hair stand on end.

The two were standing on the back of the upside-down boat when Murong Junlan suddenly let go of one hand to grab the bamboo pole used for punting. He then lifted the gorilla upwards and flew into the air. The bamboo pole touched the stern of the boat, and the two of them plummeted down with a thud, righting the small pleasure boat. The gorilla was casually tossed into the boat.

"Good heavens, thank goodness it reacted quickly enough, otherwise my back would have been broken," the gorilla muttered to himself.

"Pole the boat," Murong Junlan commanded, uttering the two words. Seeing the gorilla's bewildered state, Murong Junlan spoke again.

"If you don't move, I'll throw you to the white-haired woman."
