He Lan Tianxia

Chapter 14 is missing one maid.

Upon returning to his residence, Murong Junlan abandoned the two and went straight to his study.

Jiang He quickly helped the princess untie the net. The woman huffed and puffed, putting her hands on her hips, fuming, "Murong Junlan, you bastard, do you think I'm prey? Always using nets?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang He immediately stepped forward to stop him, saying, "Your Highness, please calm down. The Prince has suffered another bout of amnesia."

Why does he keep having those symptoms?

"..." Jiang He felt a pang of heartache. However, he absolutely couldn't let the two of them face off now, so he said, "Your Highness, you must be tired. Please return to Yan Garden to rest."

"Hmph." The woman huffed and puffed as she returned to Yan Garden. Before Jiang He could even catch his breath, the woman came rushing back, still fuming, and said with a displeased expression, "Where's my turtle?"

"When the prince saw that the turtle had suddenly lost its life, he ordered me to prepare a new jar for the princess." Jiang He would rather die than say that the prince had asked him to give the turtle to the other two women.

"Alright, then hurry up and get a tank full of fresh fish." After saying that, the woman went off to admire the flowers.

"I'll take care of it right away." Jiang He hurriedly brought over another jar of turtle. Just as he was about to sit down for a sip of tea, a maid rushed over to say that the prince needed to see him urgently and was waiting for him in the study. When Jiang He arrived at the study, Murong Junlan was practicing calligraphy at his desk. He practiced for almost half an hour without uttering a word. After finishing his calligraphy, he brewed a pot of tea and slowly sipped it, as if Jiang He wasn't even there. The longer Jiang He stood there, the more uneasy he became, but he dared not utter a sound.

"Looks like Guard Jiang has been quite free lately, hasn't he?"

"..." Jiang He looked completely innocent. Heaven and earth bear witness, I have no free time, I don't even have time to drink a sip of water.

"And you've fallen for that bastard?" Murong Junlan looked at Jiang He with a half-smile, making Jiang He feel uncomfortable all over.

"I don't dare to do this in a humble position."

"They say love can cloud one's judgment, and it's certainly true. Guard Jiang dared to use my Yan Garden for a woman's sake." Murong Junlan took a sip of tea and continued unhurriedly, "Tonight is the night of the full moon, so I'll grant your wish and let you two spend the night in Yan Garden enjoying turtle soup. How about it?"

"No, no! Your Highness, please forgive me, I dare not!" Jiang He knelt down with a thud. "That is the Princess's... Prince's Yan Garden."

"It's settled then. I'll go with you tonight to see what's going on." Murong Junlan sat back down at his desk and continued writing.

Watching the spectacle? What kind of spectacle was this? Jiang He's mind raced, but he couldn't come up with a plan. He considered going to Yan Garden to greet the Princess, but Murong Junlan seemed to have read his mind and refused to let him leave. She even had a maid bring his dinner to his study, and specially sent him an extra portion. Jiang He was completely at a loss and could only wait for an opportunity to act.

Night finally fell, and Murong Junlan looked at Jiang He with a half-smile, "Guard Jiang, are you getting impatient? Let's go." As he spoke, his long legs had already strode out, and Jiang He had no choice but to follow closely behind.

The woman in Yan Garden was extremely bored. She didn't know how to play with turtles, so she took a rope and tied the turtles together at intervals, hanging them from both ends of a long bamboo pole with a wooden stick in the middle. She then pulled on one end of the pole like an idiot.

Seeing the woman alone in Yan Garden, Jin Chuchu and Xia Muyao deliberately walked in and taunted, "Is it satisfying to have the prince come back?"

The woman glanced at them, ignored them, and continued pulling at the turtle.

"It's exciting, isn't it?" Jin Chuchu continued to mock.

"Why don't you try it and you'll see?"

"I don't have that kind of luck."

"If Miss Jin is interested, I, the Princess Consort, can make a suggestion to Prince Murong."

"Ha..." Jin Chuchu burst into wild laughter, "You think you're really a princess? You're just a demoness who rolled down from Broken Heart Cliff."

"It's better than being thrown into a side room by the prince on our wedding night."

"You?" Jin Chuchu's face turned frosty. Xia Muyao, who had been silent all along, also looked displeased. She snorted and said, "No matter what, Chuchu and I are a princess consort bestowed by the Emperor and personally supervised by the Empress Dowager."

"See? We are a noble family marrying someone of high status." Jin Chuchu leaned closer to the woman and puffed out her chest, saying, "Call her Princess."

The woman casually grabbed a turtle and threw it at Jin Chuchu. Jin Chuchu didn't have time to dodge; the turtle flew directly onto her left shoulder blade and slid down. Jin Chuchu was about to get angry when she suddenly remembered something. She said to the woman, "Your turtles, the prince has already given them to us." The woman, enraged, rushed forward and started fighting with Jin Chuchu. Xia Muyao, not to be outdone, joined in the fight.

When Murong Junlan and Guard Jiang arrived at Yan Garden, this was the scene of a palace drama unfolding. Just as Jiang He was about to intervene, Murong Junlan waved his hand, signaling him to bring up a pot of tea. Instead, he sat in the pavilion of the flower shop, sipping tea and watching the spectacle as if he were watching a good show rather than a fight.

The three were so engrossed in their fight that they didn't even notice Murong Junlan entering. They were tearing clothes, pulling hair, slapping faces, and shoving each other's chests—a chaotic brawl. Suddenly, the woman tripped over a turtle on the ground, slipped, and fell backward. Jiang He panicked and was about to help her up when Murong Junlan subtly pushed forward, preventing the woman from falling. The woman had a moment to recover, then grabbed Jin Chuchu's collar. With a pull, Jin Chuchu fell onto the woman. Jiang He thought the prince would intervene, so he didn't move. The prince, however, seemed oblivious, letting Jin Chuchu fall to the ground with a thud. In her panic, Jin Chuchu grabbed Xia Muyao's hand. Caught off guard by the fall, Xia Muyao stumbled and landed on top of Jin Chuchu. The woman, who had been holding Jin Chuchu's collar, also fell down with the momentum as Xia Muyao fell.

Jin Chuchu was at the bottom, Xia Muyao was in the middle, and the woman was lying on top of her, the three of them piled up. The prince frowned at this position. He got up and turned to leave when something was thrown at him from behind. Without turning around, he moved his right hand and caught the object. He opened his hand and saw that it was a turtle. Then he heard the woman's voice behind him.

"Murong Junlan, why did you give my turtle to them?" Jiang He was anxious, thinking, "Your Highness, you can't be so willful before the Prince remembers you. What if he banishes you?"

"So what?" Murong Junlan still had his back to them.

"Give it back to me," the woman said, lying on the ground.

"This is my Yan Garden. Everything here belongs to me. I can give it to whomever I want."

At this moment, Jin Chuchu below screamed hysterically, "Get out of the way, you're crushing me! Your Highness, save me!"

Jin Chuchu called out, but the woman felt uncomfortable in her position and tried to stand up. When Jin Chuchu called out, she bent over and lay back down, saying smugly, "Sleeping like this is quite comfortable."

"Jiang He, is this the person you admire?" Murong Junlan glanced at Jiang He standing beside him.

"This humble servant dares not," Jiang He was pondering how to explain the prince's speculation when he heard the woman speak loudly.

"Your Highness, have you suffered another bout of intermittent amnesia and forgotten about me again?"

Murong Junlan gave Jiang He a sharp look and said coldly, "What princess? Tell me the truth."

Jiang He was sweating profusely with anxiety. He thought to himself, "How can this be explained? If it were so easy, I wouldn't have to take the blame and admit that the woman is the one I love. Suddenly, a princess appears, and even the prince himself can't figure it out. As an outsider, I'm even more confused." His duty was to protect the prince and also to protect the princess from being killed by him. He was exhausted.

"Get off!" Jin Chuchu was being crushed underfoot and was practically falling apart; she didn't care about being polite anymore, especially since the woman was lying on top chatting with the prince. Xia Muyao, on the other hand, was giving her a gentle massage, which wasn't too strenuous, and given her personality, she wouldn't force it. Hearing Jin Chuchu's shout, she tried to get up. As soon as Xia Muyao moved, the woman tumbled off.

"Are you courting death? You got up without even telling me. Ouch, you hurt my waist." As she said this, for some reason, Murong Junlan glanced at her unconsciously. Perhaps Murong Junlan himself didn't notice, but Jiang He did.

"I'm almost out of breath!" Jin Chuchu immediately changed her posture, walking towards the prince in a coquettish voice, and said sweetly, "Your Highness, you must stand up for Chuchu!" Then she lunged at Murong Junlan. Murong Junlan dodged, and Jin Chuchu missed her target. Fortunately, she didn't lose her balance completely, otherwise she would have fallen flat on her face. However, it wasn't much better; her head hit a stone pillar in the pavilion, raising a bump. Jin Chuchu covered her head and complained to Murong Junlan, "Your Highness, it hurts."

Murong Junlan ignored her. Xia Muyao, seeing Jin Chuchu lunge at the prince, intended to follow suit, but instead stepped on a turtle. Losing her balance, she fell with a thud as Jin Chuchu scrambled to her feet. Murong Junlan, as if oblivious, picked up a pot of tea and began to sip it slowly.

"Ha..." The woman burst into laughter, then turned to Murong Junlan and said, "Your Highness, why don't you do the hero's rescue?"

"Jiang He, let's go back to the manor." Murong Junlan turned and left.

"Murong Junlan, why are you walking so fast? You haven't returned my turtle yet."

At the entrance of Yan Garden, Murong Junlan paused for a moment, then said, "Keep her in Yan Garden as a maid."

"To be a maid? Why?" the woman asked, displeased.

“Yan Garden is lacking a maid like you,” Murong Junlan replied, raising her voice.

Watching the prince's departing figure, Jin Chuchu forgot the throbbing pain in her head and gleefully repeated Murong Junlan's words: "Yan Garden needs a maid like you." The woman grabbed a turtle and threw it over...
