Chapter 134 Panic and Taking a Concubine

Hong Xiuying looked up at Young Master Wang and his wife standing not far away, a fleeting look of disappointment flashing in her eyes. She turned around, reached out and grabbed Zhong Ziqi's collar, pulling him into the camp gate like an eagle snatching a chick.

Zhong Ziqi panicked, not knowing what Hong Xiuying was going to do. He stumbled towards her before he could even stand properly. Hong Xiuying glared at him, startling Zhong Ziqi, who quickly straightened up. Hong Xiuying, seeing his cowardly state, was on the verge of tears and yelled at Zhong Ziqi:

"Come in."

Zhong Ziqi was caught in a dilemma, unable to advance or retreat. Hong Xiuying grew annoyed, grabbed Zhong Ziqi's hand, and retorted, "How did I end up running into someone like you?"

Zhong Ziqi blinked, unsure how to answer. His adorable appearance almost made Hong Xiuying faint with anger. Seeing the silly boy still at a loss, Hong Xiuying got even angrier. She simply shook off Zhong Ziqi's hand and yelled again:

Are you still going to get married or not?

Zhong Ziqi finally realized what was happening. He nodded his head like a chicken pecking at rice and asked timidly, "Have you agreed to marry me?"

"Who agreed to marry you?" Hong Xiuying retorted.

"Then marry me." In his haste, Zhong Ziqi clasped his hands together and was about to bow to Hong Xiuying. Hong Xiuying could no longer bear it and pulled Zhong Ziqi away. Due to the excessive force, Zhong Ziqi's head bumped into Hong Xiuying's head. Zhong Ziqi's first reaction was to check if Hong Xiuying was hurt, which made Hong Xiuying's face turn bright red.

"You bastard!" Hong Xiuying cursed again. She felt that if she didn't drag Zhong Ziqi in, he wouldn't know how long he would keep causing trouble in front of everyone. "How can I marry you if you don't come in?"

Zhong Ziqi finally understood. His eyes lit up, and he smiled. Then he crossed his arms and was about to bow again...

Hong Xiuying warned him, "If you bow again, I won't marry you."

Just then, someone in the crowd whistled, and immediately the suonas blared and laughter erupted.

"They're married! They're married!"

The conspicuous sedan chair bearers quickly carried the wedding sedan chair into the camp.

Everyone had rushed into the camp, leaving only the wedding sedan chair outside. Prince Murong gazed tenderly at the adorable girl who was tiptoeing to watch the commotion from inside the camp. He reached out and turned her face towards him, and as Yan'er looked on in bewildered surprise, he slowly uttered a few words:

"My beloved concubine, I love you!"

Yan'er's eyes swept over Murong Junlan's face and then over the sky. Suddenly, she turned around, jumped off the sedan chair, and ran into the crowd at the camp gate, leaving the affectionate Prince Murong bewildered in the wind.

Just as Prince Murong was about to step out to chase after his beloved concubine, he suddenly noticed something rolling towards him from afar. Upon closer inspection, he saw that the thing had already rolled under the sedan chair.

"Why are you here?" Murong Junlan spoke first.

"Your Highness, it's terrible! We've been robbed! We've been robbed!" the old pine tree spirit gasped for breath.

"Explain yourself clearly." Murong Junlan guessed that something big had happened.

"Your Highness, the abbot has kidnapped the abbot."

"I thought it was something serious. I know." Murong Junlan's heart was relieved. He already knew that the "Abbot" had been kidnapped. He watched him being taken away. Why did you have to run away with your life on your side to tell me?

Seeing that Murong Junlan wasn't in a hurry at all, the old pine tree spirit even gestured for it to rest on the spot, while Murong Junlan's eyes continued to follow Yan'er in the crowd.

The old pine tree spirit got impatient and started hopping and bouncing in front of Murong Junlan. Murong Junlan got annoyed, grabbed the old pine tree by the shoulder and threw it away. The old pine tree spirit rolled back and hopped around again. After being thrown three times, Murong Junlan complained, "Are you looking for death? You keep hopping around in front of me. Look, I can't even see my beloved concubine!" He also thought to himself, "Yan'er isn't your bride, is she really that beautiful?"

Murong Junlan strode off the wedding sedan chair. The old pine tree spirit was now anxious. It had searched for so long to find Prince Murong, yet he acted as if it were none of his business—unlike his usual self. Hmm? Perhaps the prince's reluctance to go was because he was looking for the princess? That must be it. The old pine tree spirit realized this, and abruptly abandoned Murong Junlan, turning and rolling towards the camp gate.

Now it was Murong Junlan's turn to be confused. Wasn't this guy going to stop jumping around? What was he doing off to?
