In the end, the Great Sage broke the rules.
Chapter 141 The Monster Has an Owner
Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie had been searching in the deep forest for a long time, but they still hadn't found the monster's dwelling.
As dusk approached, Sun Wukong began to feel increasingly anxious.
"This monster has been hiding quite well!" Sun Wukong said, as he slammed his golden cudgel into a nearby boulder. With a loud "bang," shards of rock flew everywhere.
Seeing this, Pigsy quickly advised, "Brother, don't worry, let's think of another way."
Just then, Sun Wukong suddenly had a brilliant idea.
Before long, a short, bearded earth god emerged from the ground.
"Great Sage, spare my life! This old man doesn't know what has disturbed you?" the Earth God asked tremblingly.
Sun Wukong said, "Stop talking nonsense! I'm asking you, are there any monsters lurking around here?"
The Earth God hurriedly replied, "Great Sage, this is Willow Grove Slope. There is indeed a Qinghua Cave in the grove, but the entrance is extremely well hidden and cannot be seen by the naked eye of ordinary people. Moreover, two powerful demons live in the cave!"
Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie exchanged a glance, a hint of excitement flashing in their eyes.
"Oh? Then where is this Qinghua Cave?" Sun Wukong pressed for an answer.
The Earth God hurriedly replied, "Great Sage, as long as you can find three willow trees growing side by side, the one in the middle is the entrance to Qinghua Cave."
After receiving the Earth God's hint, Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie thanked him and immediately turned and walked into the depths of the forest to begin their careful search.
And so, the two brothers wandered around in the forest for a long time, until the sun was setting in the west, before they finally made a discovery.
"Haha, Senior Brother, look over there! Aren't those three willow trees?" Pigsy shouted, pointing to the distance ahead.
Sun Wukong looked in the direction Zhu Bajie pointed and indeed saw the willow tree right next to him.
The two hurried forward and examined the object closely.
Sun Wukong reached out and gently patted the trunk of one of the trees, then turned to Zhu Bajie and said, "Bajie, this should be the place."
Pigsy nodded and continued, "The local earth god said that you have to turn three times to the left, then three times to the right, and finally slap the tree trunk with both hands at the same time and shout 'Open the door' three times before the Qinghua Cave will appear."
After saying that, he began to follow the instructions given by the local earth god.
He turned three times to the left, then three times to the right, before pounding the tree trunk with both hands and shouting, "Open the door! Open the door! Open the door!"
As Pigsy's shouts rang out, the stone door on the rock wall slowly opened.
Sun Wukong, carrying his golden cudgel, charged into the cave.
As soon as he entered the cave, the sight before him made his eyes widen in surprise.
Deep inside the cave, the two monsters were tightly embracing each other, intimately entwined.
The male demon was burly and had a ferocious face; while the female demon was graceful and charming.
The male demon suddenly sensed someone had intruded and inwardly cried out in alarm.
He quickly and forcefully shoved the female demon beside him, and then without hesitation, he grabbed the weapon next to him and pounced on Sun Wukong, instantly engaging in a fierce battle with him.
This monster was highly skilled in martial arts, wielding his weapon with great force, and was able to fight Sun Wukong for dozens of rounds.
For a time, the cave was filled with the clash of swords and the sparks flying as the two sides fought back and forth, neither able to gain the upper hand.
Sun Wukong had a sudden inspiration and used his magic to create a fake monkey to join the battle.
Then, he leisurely sat down on a large rock and began to watch with great interest.
Unfortunately, the fake monkey was not very strong and was destroyed by the monster in less than ten rounds, turning into a wisp of smoke and disappearing.
Seeing this, Sun Wukong snorted coldly, shouted loudly, and leaped up, once again raising his golden cudgel to personally take to the field.
This time, he increased the force of his attack.
The golden cudgel in his hand was like a roaring dragon, smashing down on the monster with the force of thunder.
Faced with such a fierce attack, the monster gradually felt overwhelmed and found it increasingly difficult to defend itself.
Before long, he was struggling to keep up and his weaknesses were exposed.
Seeing that the situation was unfavorable, the cunning monster decided to retreat and turned to run away.
Unexpectedly, Pigsy, who had been waiting at the cave entrance for a long time, was already on high alert.
Pigsy brandished his nine-toothed rake, seized the opportunity, and swung it sharply, the sharp tip of the rake like lightning, hooking straight at the monster.
Caught off guard, the monster was pulled back by this unexpected attack.
He turned around and exchanged a few more blows with Pigsy.
But Pigsy was no pushover either, and he held the monster back tightly.
Seeing that it could not escape, the monster attempted to fly away from the place.
But just as he flew into the air, he suddenly felt as if he had hit an invisible wall and was violently bounced back.
It turns out that a barrier had been set up here.
Just as Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie were about to deliver the fatal blow to the monster, a loud and aged voice suddenly drifted from the sky.
"Great Sage, hold your hand! Marshal Tianpeng, please refrain from pursuing us for now! I bow to you both here!"
As the words fell, an elderly man with white hair, holding a cane, and a kind face descended from the sky; it was none other than the God of Longevity.
Upon seeing this, Sun Wukong immediately stopped, pointed his golden cudgel at the still struggling monster on the ground, and asked with a furrowed brow, "Old man of longevity, you've come at just the right time! Could this monster be related to you?"
The Old Man of Longevity smiled slightly, stroked his beard, and said, “Great Sage, don’t be anxious. This demon is indeed related to me. It was originally one of my mounts, but it got lost a few days ago and unexpectedly became a monster here. I hope that you will be merciful and spare it this time.”
This God of Longevity was a highly respected figure in the celestial realm. Although Sun Wukong was unwilling, he couldn't forcefully attack him out of respect.
He snorted irritably and said, "If that's the case, then you'd better take this monster away quickly, lest it come out and cause trouble again in the future!"
The God of Longevity nodded in agreement, then turned to the monster and shouted, "You wretched creature, quickly revert to your original form and come back with me!"
Upon hearing this, the monster trembled and instantly transformed into a deer. It obediently ran to the side of the God of Longevity, bowing its head and listening attentively, its previous arrogance completely gone.
Seeing that the old man was about to leave, Sun Wukong stopped him, saying, "Wait! You have to come back to the palace with us and explain things to the king and his ministers before you go!"
The old man nodded in agreement.
