Chapter 81 The cabbage's heart had already flown away

Jiang Yang and Wang Ruozhi went on their honeymoon after their marriage and are currently at the old house. They brought gifts for everyone upon their return.

"You're out having fun and you're still thinking of us." Grandpa Jiang smiled kindly. "Have dinner before you go home."

"Okay, where's Xiao Yi?" Jiang Yang looked around.

"This girl is learning to be a print model and has been so busy lately that she's hardly ever home. She said she'd be back for dinner today, so she should be on her way." Grandpa Jiang said with a helpless smile.

"As long as she's happy."

"You've spoiled her with her personality." Grandpa Jiang tapped the floor with his cane.

Jiang Yang took a deep breath, shook his head, and smiled without saying a word. Wasn't his grandfather guilty for saying that? He had also played a significant role in this.

Wang Ruozhi smiled faintly, and Jiang Yang's little expressions were too cute.

Jiang Yi arrived just in time for lunch and greeted Jiang Yang politely, "Brother, sister-in-law, did you have a good honeymoon?"

"I brought you a gift. Aunt Meng left it in your room." Jiang Yang gestured for her to sit down.

"Grandpa told me you're a print model. Which company?" Wang Ruozhi and Jiang Yi's relationship gradually became more familiar, and they would occasionally exchange messages.

“S.unique.” Jiang Yi ate heartily; she was so hungry she could eat a whole cow.

“She has a model named Qiao Chumin. The clothes she tries on always become bestsellers. It would be quite difficult for you to make a name for yourself over there.” Wang Ruozhi and her group knew these stores very well.

"She resigned." Jiang Yi picked up her juice, drank half a glass, and then stopped, satisfied.

"Tell me about any new styles you come across, so I can enjoy the benefits for family members." A love of beauty is a woman's nature.

"it is good."

"Grandpa, I've made plans with Abu and the others tonight. Xiao Yi, come along too. If it gets too late, you can sleep at my place." Jiang Yang raised an eyebrow and grinned mischievously.

"It's good to be young, go ahead." Grandpa Jiang always respected the lifestyle of young people. "Girls should drink less when they're out. Xiao Yang, you need to keep a close eye on her."

"Don't worry, I will."

After finishing their meal, the group chatted with Grandpa for a few minutes before leaving. Jiang Yang then sent a message to Chi Ruiche:

"No time, you guys have fun."

"Xiao Yi is here too."

"I'll go over when I'm done with this." Jiang Yang said, sweating. Chi Ruiche's double standards are always so obvious. These two are a perfect match.

"Grandpa, we're leaving now. You should get some rest." Grandpa Jiang watched the young man's departing figure, his gratified smile tinged with a hint of melancholy.

Grandpa Jiang gripped his cane tightly, a half-smile playing on his lips: "The child has grown up."

Jiang Yi and her group came to "Haolinfang," the same place Abu had taken her to last time. It was still a world of dazzling lights and extravagant indulgence.

Abu, Lü Haotian, and the others arrived early. Since there were quite a few people, they stayed in a private room. The dance floor was right outside, making it convenient for chatting while blocking out the DJ music from outside. Two unfamiliar people were also sitting on the sofa.

"Brother Yang, sister-in-law," Abu greeted them warmly, pulling Jiang Yi to sit down next to him.

"This girl is different from the one last time..." Jiang Yi was interrupted by Abu, who covered her mouth, handed her a glass of wine, and gave her a sharp look, signaling her not to say anything more.

Jiang Yigulu rolled his eyes and gave a sly smile: "I've had too much to drink, so it wouldn't be good for me to talk nonsense."

"I'll buy you the shoes you liked last week," Abu whispered in her ear, looking utterly helpless and at her mercy.

"All colors." Jiang Yi didn't hesitate to extort him once.

"Alright, alright, you're not just the boss's ancestor, you're my ancestor." Abu idolized Chi Ruiche. When they were kids, he was "jealous" of Chi Ruiche, always feeling that Chi Ruiche was nice to this little brat, and the two of them often competed for his affections. But it was all just childish talk, and Abu was still happy to hang out with Jiang Yi.

Jiang's eyes crinkled into crescents, her playful and smug expression captivating.

The two boys next to him were Wang Ruozhi's cousins, and out of politeness, Jiang Yang invited them as well.

One of the boys couldn't take his eyes off Jiang Yi after she appeared. She had neat short hair, naturally curled behind her ears, delicate features, and an extraordinary air about her.

"Sis, wasn't this lady one of your bridesmaids last time?" the boy said first.

“This is your brother-in-law’s sister,” Wang Ruozhi replied knowingly.

"Hello, I'm Qiu Hengzhou." The boy bypassed Wang Ruozhi and struck up a conversation with Jiang Yi. "Can I sit here with you?"

Jiang Yi composed herself and smiled faintly: "Hello, Jiang Yi."

Before Jiang Yi could refuse, Qiu Hengzhou sat down, his shoulder seemingly brushing against hers unintentionally. Jiang Yi recoiled as if electrocuted, avoiding his touch.

"Could you move away from me? Your perfume smells awful." Jiang Yi frowned, her displeasure evident on her face.

"Sorry, I noticed you at the wedding last time, and I couldn't help but be abrupt." Qiu Hengzhou was the same age as Abu, straightforward and honest in expressing his feelings without any guile, and he subtly moved forward a little. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Your brother-in-law can't be too direct today. If he wants to pursue Xiao Yi, he'll have to get past me, his second brother, first." Lu Haotian took two glasses of wine and handed one to him.

"Okay." Yue Hengzhou answered without hesitation, looking at Jiang Yi with admiration as he finished his drink.

"Great, and here's my third brother too." Abu handed over another cup.

Yue Hengzhou downed his drink in one gulp, showing no displeasure whatsoever. "Miss Jiang, if you don't have a boyfriend, may I pursue you?"

"I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend." Jiang Yi smoothed her hair and smiled, a beautiful curve forming on her lips.

"Xiao Si, you have a boyfriend?" Abu and Lü Haotian were stunned for a few seconds, their faces showing astonishment.

"Looking at you two, is it strange that I have a boyfriend?" Jiang Yi tilted her head. "Let's drink, sister-in-law, toast to you."

Lu Haotian shrugged, took a sip of wine, and stared meaningfully at Jiang Yi's profile, his expression blank and his eyes even more complicated.

"Drink slowly, just a little bit." Wang Ruozhi told her to just drink a little.

"Xiao Si, don't drink so fast." Lu Haotian grabbed her wrist, gave her a different drink, and his voice was a little strained.

Jiang Yi avoided Yue Hengzhou and sat between Abu and Lü Haotian. Yue Hengzhou wanted to explain, but felt a little uneasy being stared at by the two of them, so he reluctantly withdrew his hand.

"I'll explain it to Hengzhou when I get back." Wang Ruozhi wasn't stupid; Jiang Yi had clearly refused, and if he persisted, the rest of them probably wouldn't let him off the hook.

"Hmm." Jiang Yang didn't say anything, giving Wang Ruozhi face. Most importantly, with Lü Haotian and the others around, Jiang Yi wouldn't suffer a loss; otherwise, Yue Hengzhou would have been thrown out by him.

"Excuse me, I'm going to the restroom." Jiang Yi left the sofa, and Wang Ruozhi followed.

Jiang Yi and the others stood at the restroom entrance, the air thick with the smells of smoke and alcohol, the music almost deafening. Brilliant lights illuminated the men and women on the dance floor, the ambiguous atmosphere amidst the clinking of glasses and the pervasive ambiguity that seeped into their hearts.

Under the flashing lights, a familiar figure came into view. Swaying wildly, the woman, dressed in a cool and aloof manner, blended in and was the most eye-catching presence on the dance floor.

"Sister Lin Xi?"

Seeing that the two hadn't returned, Jiang Yang went out to look for them. He saw Jiang Yi standing there, stunned. "What's wrong?"

Following her gaze, Jiang Yang recognized her. His face went blank, his gentle smile froze, and he stared ahead like a clay sculpture, his expression a complex mix of emotions. Gradually, Jiang Yang forced himself to calm down, leaving only a deep, heavy sadness that seemed to envelop him completely.

"Husband? Husband?" Wang Ruozhi waved her hand in front of his eyes, but his eyes remained fixed on the front.

"Let's go." Jiang Yang quickly concealed his emotions, took Wang Ruozhi's hand, and returned to the private room.

"What's wrong? I called you a few times, what are you thinking about?" Wang Ruozhi asked, puzzled.

"I've had too much to drink and I'm feeling a bit sleepy." Jiang Yang forced a smile, but his brows were slightly furrowed, barely noticeable in the dim lighting of the private room.

Chi Ruiche sat on the sofa, his long legs crossed, his gaze following Jiang Yi. Before she sat down, he took her hand, interlocked their fingers, and said slowly, "Let's get to know each other again. I am Jiang Yi's boyfriend."

Chi Ruiche was calm and composed, but when he looked at Yue Hengzhou, his eyes were filled with a strong sense of pressure.

The private room was unusually quiet.

Abu broke the silence first, leading the teasing: "When did you two start this? You were keeping it so secret."

Jiang Yi raised an eyebrow, both surprised and delighted. Chi Ruiche held her hand tightly, and she could feel his warmth and strength, silently announcing their love.

"If you want to hear love stories, find Lü Er. We're leaving now." Chi Ruiche led Jiang Yi away.

"Breaking news! The boss and the youngest, an old cow eating young grass?" Abu started chattering incessantly. "Brother Yang, your cabbage has just been taken away like this, aren't you going to stop it?"

"The cabbage's heart has already flown away."
