Chapter 34 Home Demolition and Renovation

Sunlight shines through the clouds, casting colorful rays that intertwine in the air like a magnificent painting. This spectacular sight comes from the Caiyun Mountains.

Halfway up a mountain, a house stands tall, and next to the house is a huge chicken coop.

The camera zooms in, revealing three Pixiu (mythical creatures) discussing something with a group of people in front of the house.

"Is this the house you're going to renovate?" a foreman-looking man asked.

“Yes.” Bixie nodded.

"Alright, leave it to us. We'll definitely achieve the best results in the shortest amount of time," the contractor assured him.

Seeing that Bixie had already discussed things with the group, Baijie said, "Then you all go ahead with your work, we'll go down the mountain first..."

"Wait a moment!"

Bai Jie was interrupted by Tian Lu. He turned to look at Tian Lu in confusion and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Um, Baijie, if we're going to renovate, won't all the furniture in the house be useless?" Tianlu asked cautiously.

"It's no longer useful, what happened?" Bai Jie was full of questions.

"It's good that it's useless!" After hearing Bai Jie's reply, Tian Lu turned around and rushed into the house.

Then, Bai Jie heard a series of loud noises. After a while, Tian Lu walked out looking refreshed and said, "Done."

“Uh…” Bai Jie went to the door and looked inside, where there were wrecked pieces of furniture scattered all over the floor.

Withdrawing his gaze, Bai Jie turned to Tian Lu with a strange look: "Have you awakened the bloodline of the three sled idiots?!"

"Why did you tear the house down?" Bai Jie asked in a strange tone.

"Bai Jie, you said the furniture was useless, so I took it apart." Tian Lu blinked his innocent big eyes.

In fact, Tianlu's idea was: every time he played at home before, he had to be extremely careful not to break the furniture, but today he could finally let loose!

"So this is your reason for destroying the house?" Bai Jie sighed, rubbing his forehead. It seemed that Tianlu had developed some strange attributes.

"Oh, right." Bai Jie suddenly remembered something and turned to ask the contractor, "Did the mess at home cause you any trouble?"

"No, no, it all has to be cleaned up anyway." The contractor waved his hand: Even if it's troublesome, you can't say it, after all, you've given so much.

"Alright, we're off then." With that, Bai Jie headed down the mountain. Their house was being renovated for the next few days, so they planned to stay in the village at the foot of the mountain for a while.

Walking along the mountain path into the forest, the fresh air around him made him feel relaxed and happy. This path was made when they built houses and chicken coops on the mountain. If it weren't for this path, Bai Jie would have gotten lost on his first trip up the mountain because he was not familiar with the forest.

A gentle breeze, warm sunshine, and the occasional chirping of insects and birds echoed through the woods. Bai Jie and Bi Xie walked along the mountain path, while Tian Lu ran around merrily in the woods beside the road. He chased butterflies and climbed trees to steal two bird eggs and stuff them into his mouth, looking very happy.

"Bai Jie, Bi Xie, come and play with us!" Tian Lu peeked out from behind a tree and excitedly called out to the two beasts on the path.

"I don't want to." Bai Jie refused decisively. He was too lazy to move, and if he got into trouble with the bugs, it would be a real hassle to clean them up.

"Hey, Bai Jie, come play with me~" Tianlu suddenly jumped out of the forest and pounced on Bai Jie when he was not paying attention.

"Ah! What are you doing?!" Bai Jie was startled and instinctively shouted.

But by then, Tianlu had already run back into the mountains and forests, "Hehehe. Baijie, come and chase me!"

Bai Jie looked at the gray claw marks Tian Lu had left on his body, and a nameless rage rose within him. "Tian Lu! You stop right there!"

"Hehehehehe, Bai Jie can't catch me." Tian Lu chuckled mischievously, while relying on his rich experience to weave left and right among the trees, making it impossible for Bai Jie to catch him.

"Aaaaaah! I told you to stop right there!" Bai Jie roared in exasperation, feeling dizzy from being tangled up.

"Hehehe, I won't, unless Baijie calls me brother." Tianlu ran around in the woods like a husky that had been unleashed, dodging Baijie while even managing to raid a few bird nests.

The birds in the woods: Please stop taking them! We've almost gone extinct in the last few years!

"Hey! You two, slow down!" Bixie shouted at Baijie and Tianlu, who were running away in the chase, but the two Pixiu were either having too much fun or completely caught up in their own thoughts, and didn't hear what Bixie was saying at all.

Watching his two younger brothers gradually drift away from him, Bixie sighed and helplessly followed.

At the foot of the mountain, at the end of the path.

"I've got you! I'll let you run!" Bai Jie tackled Tian Lu to the ground.

"Hahahaha, a hundred solutions, good, good hahahahahaha!"

"Laugh, you still dare to laugh!" Bai Jie angrily raised its paws and unleashed a barrage of meow punches at Tian Lu.

"Hiss! Hahahahahaha, Bai Jie, hahahaha, sorry hahaha! I couldn't help it! Hahaha! Hiss! Go easy on me..." Tianlu blocked Bai Jie's claws, and although he kept gasping for breath from the blows, he still couldn't stop laughing.

"You still can't hold back, you're not hurting enough!" Bai Jie ignored Tian Lu's pleas for mercy and continued to swing his claws at him like a storm.

A few minutes later,

"Huff... huff... huff... huff... huff..." Bai Jie collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. He felt waves of exhaustion washing over him, and he didn't even have the strength to move a finger.

They chased Tianlu all the way from the mountainside to the bottom, and after catching up, they pinned Tianlu to the ground and beat him up. This exhausted Bai Jie, who had never experienced such a high level of physical activity as a homebody beast.

After Bai Jie collapsed from exhaustion, Tian Lu got up, dusted himself off, and then, seemingly unfazed, approached him. "Bai Jie, are you alright? How about I carry you the rest of the way?"

Bai Jie: I'm so annoyed! I've been fighting for so long and you're still fine, while I'm exhausted!

"Can Bai Jie still move?" Tian Lu came up and touched Bai Jie, completely unaware of how angry he was.

"Don't touch me!" Bai Jie mustered a little strength to pry Tian Lu's claws away, then turned his back to Tian Lu, leaving only his back view: I'm angry, I don't want to talk to you, go away.

"Hey!" Tianlu was dumbfounded: Why did he get really angry when he was just joking?

"Bai, Bai Jie." Tianlu tentatively went around to the front of Bai Jie, but Bai Jie turned over and still had his back to him.

Tianlu the Idiot: Now, what do we do now?

Tianlu's brain started working at lightning speed: How did he always deal with getting angry before? Aha!

Tianlu suddenly stretched out its claws and hugged Baijie.

"Hey!" Bai Jie froze. "What are you going to do now?!"

"Waaah, Bai Jie, I was wrong~ Don't ignore me~" Tian Lu rubbed against Bai Jie.

"Why are you using this trick again!" Bai Jie's body stiffened even more.

"Woo~ Bai Jie~" Tian Lu pressed his advantage, sticking out his tongue to gently lick Bai Jie's body and grooming Bai Jie's fur.

A sensation that was both itchy and pleasurable came over him, and Bai Jie shuddered: He couldn't take it anymore!

Under Tianlu's onslaught of coquettishness, cuteness, rubbing, and licking, Baijie finally succumbed.

"Hey, stop it, I'm not angry with you anymore." Bai Jie rolled over and pressed Tian Lu down, looking a little shy. Even after more than ten years, he still wasn't used to licking his fur.

"Hehe, Bai Jie~" Tian Lu hugged Bai Jie again with a grin.

Bai Jie rolled his eyes. "All you ever do is use this trick. You're supposed to be an older brother, ugh!"

Before he could finish speaking, Bai Jie gasped, his claws instinctively reaching out to grab an insect from his body.

Looking at the insects in his claws, Bai Jie shifted his gaze to Tian Lu, his eyes becoming resentful. "What do we do now? We've got insects."

"Uh..." Tianlu felt a little uneasy, but in the blink of an eye, a determined look appeared on his face: "I will take responsibility!"

Bai Jie's lips twitched: "Have you been watching weird stuff on TV again?"

When Bixie rushed down the mountain, the first thing he saw was Tianlu catching insects for Baijie.

Bixie: You two made up so quickly?

"Bixie, you've finally arrived! You're so slow!" Tianlu shouted, waving its claws as it saw Bixie.

"It's because you two ran too fast."

"Hehehe, you short-legged demon-repelling creature, you can't even catch up with Bai Jie."

Bixie was speechless: I was so worried about you for nothing!

"Tianlu, stop talking nonsense and hurry up and catch the bugs, they're so itchy." Baijie patted Tianlu.

"Oh, oh, oh!" Tianlu was patted and hurriedly continued to bend down to help Baijie catch the bugs.

Bixie: Baijie's words are more effective than mine.

"Idiot, you're not doing it right like that, let me do it." Bixie stepped forward to help.

Compared to Tianlu, Bixie was clearly more experienced in catching insects; he had caught quite a few insects for Tianlu when he went out and about.

After a while, all the insects on Bai Jie and Tian Lu's bodies were finally caught.

"Phew~ That feels so good." With the itching gone, Bai Jie let out a long sigh of relief: staying home and not going out with Tian Lu was definitely the right choice.

"Alright, let's hurry up and go. If we drag this out any longer, the village chief will get impatient," said Bixie, shaking off the last insect from its claws.

"Hmm," Bai replied, then turned to look at Tianlu.

Tianlu bent down and said, "Baijie, you must be tired. Let me carry you."

After shrinking its body, Bai Jie climbed onto Tian Lu's back without any hesitation. They used to do the same thing: they could walk on their own when the road was short, but when the road was long or they were tired, that was when their personal mounts would come into play. However, Tian Lu seemed to be enjoying it quite a bit.

The evil spirits are saying: I've never seen you treat me this well before.
