The daily life of the crew of "Beasts".

Chapter 267 The Coming Parents

For a period of time afterward, the Pixiu family tacitly went to school and work in an orderly manner.

The existence of Seventy-Seven is still known only to a small number of beasts in the school and the film crew, and they have all been asked to keep it a secret. The two Qilin from the Beginning Jade are still unaware that they have an extra child.

at dusk,

The First Qilin tore off a page of the calendar and looked at the date. From the kitchen, the Jade Qilin, a virtuous woman, came out carrying a plate of immortal dew.

Upon seeing this, he immediately swallowed hard, quickly went to the dining table and sat down. He crumpled the calendar in his hand, closed one eye, aimed for a moment, and then threw it far away.

The crumpled paper traced an arc and landed precisely in the trash can.

"How old are you? You're still playing this like a child!" Yu Qilin said with a smile, putting down his plate.

"Hehehe, it's all thanks to my wife. She's taken such good care of me that I've never grown up." Shi Qilin chuckled, then glanced at the calendar again.

"By the way, honey, it's been a while since I visited our eldest son. I'm thinking of going to see him in the next couple of days to see how things are going with the little Pixiu."

"Maybe he's already given birth to your grandson?" Yu Qilin pulled out a chair, sat down, and smiled mischievously.

"But my eldest son is clueless. I have to help him out and get rid of the little evil spirit!"

"Alright, alright." Jade Qilin smiled and covered the mouth of the First Qilin with a ball of immortal dew.

"Let's talk about it on the weekend. The kids are busy with work and don't have time. Let's eat now."

……

Meanwhile, at the Pixiu's house, Seventy-Seven curiously peeked into the bedroom from the door frame.

The desk lamp was on, and the computer screen displayed an unfinished document. Bai Jie rested his chin on his hand and his paws on the keyboard, lost in thought.

What is Bai Jie doing?

"Ok?"

Bai Jie paused for a moment and turned around. Qi Shiqi pushed open the door and peeked closer. The title of the document on the screen gradually became clear.

"The Early Modern Period"

"I'm writing a script. I've figured out the plot, but I just don't know how to write it down," Bai Jie explained, propping himself up, a hint of confusion in his eyes.

"Is it because you can't write it?"

"I think I'm just not in good shape. Ah~ whatever, I've already finished today's tasks." He yawned and jumped off the chair.

Seventy-seven, not understanding what was going on, followed the other person out of the bedroom.

The atmosphere in the living room was heavy. Bixie was cleaning, while Tianlu and Sibuxiang stared intently at their phones.

"What are you looking at?" Bai Jie walked over and looked down at his phone. It was a message from Shi Qilin.

[Eldest son, how's it going with the little Pixiu? Daddy's coming to check on things this weekend.]

After reading the contents, he subconsciously glanced back at Seventy-Seven following behind him, his mouth slightly moving, unsure of what to say.

"What should we do? Should I take Seventy-Seven out for a whole day and not come back?" Tianlu broke the silence first.

"Huh?" Seventy-seven stopped in his tracks, completely bewildered.

“No, Adi’s mother will get suspicious, and she might even go out looking for you.” Si Bu Xiang shook his head.

Seventy-seven's eyes looked even more confused.

What happened? It seems like they're talking about him?

They discussed it until nightfall, but the two rather dim-witted guys still couldn't come up with a solution.

Bai Jie was asked several times, but he just shook his head and said he didn't know, then quietly watched the drama unfold. Bi Xie, on the other hand, listened intently the entire time while cleaning.

At 10:34 p.m., the lights on the windows of the Pixiu's house went out.

Day two.

"Plum blossom, blue circle, sun. I'm taking Little Square out for breakfast." Four-Faced Beast greeted them and led Seventy-Seven out the door.

It was early morning, and the sky was just beginning to lighten. The pale sunlight cast dappled shadows on the mountains and trees, and the hazy morning mist seemed to veil the view.

They flew to a mountaintop where the morning's vibrant energy combined with the mist to form wisps of ethereal dew.

Seventy-seven couldn't wait to rush down from the auspicious cloud. The dew on the green plants soaked his fur, but he didn't care and swallowed the celestial dew in front of him in one gulp.

"Yeah! Delicious!"

A sweet taste filled my mouth. After swallowing it, spiritual energy washed over my body like a wave, instantly making me feel refreshed!

Seventy-seven licked his lips, still savoring the celestial dew along the way, circling the mountaintop.

"Little Square, be careful, there are many dangers in the mountains." Four-Faced Beast followed behind absentmindedly, reminding him verbally, but his mind was still on what happened last night.

"There's no one around on this mountaintop, what danger could there be?"

The little Pixiu turned its head in confusion, and took another step forward. Suddenly, it felt a pain in its claws and wrists, followed by a chill that spread up its arms and shoulders.

He turned his head to the side, and there stared at him a venomous snake with cold, vertical pupils, its eyes gleaming with menacing malice.

"what!?"

Startled, Seventy-Seven suddenly flung his claws away, sending the venomous snake flying. The Four-Faced Beast, regaining its senses, quickly ran up and picked him up.

"Oh dear, I told you to be careful. Is Little Cube alright? Did it get bitten? Every part of a Qilin is valuable, and its saliva can cure poison. Let me lick it for you."

Seventy-seven, still shaken, raised its claws, revealing a pair of small bite marks on its wrists. Although it was unlikely that a divine beast would be poisoned, the Four-Faced Beast still stuck out its tongue and licked them.

As his wounds healed, he looked up and was horrified to find a beastly figure standing in front of him. The beast was pink and white with a pair of small horns on its head, and it was clearly the Qilin he knew, Lizhi.

"Four-Unlikes? What are you doing here?" Her delicate brows furrowed slightly. "Don't you know this is my mountain? You ate all the immortal dew, and I ate..."

Lychee's gaze shifted downwards and suddenly fixed on Seventy-Seven. Her words stopped abruptly, and a look of astonishment appeared on her small face.

"This...a black Pixiu?"

Seventy-seven blinked and looked up at her, a trace of fairy dew still lingering at the corner of his mouth. Lychee squinted to look closely, but before she could see clearly, the Four-Faced Ones hid behind her as if electrocuted.

"Uh, he's Little Blue Circle! He's greedy and wants to taste the fairy dew!"

Lychee looked up suspiciously, "Who are you trying to fool? That fur color..."

"That's dyed!"

"That cute logo..."

"That's been altered!"

"Those eyes..."

“Those are colored contact lenses, we put on makeup before we came out! We put on makeup…” Si Bu Xiang’s voice gradually faded as he nervously stared at Lychee’s eyes, his palms sweating profusely.

The air was eerily still for a moment. A gentle breeze ruffled the fur of the two Qilin. Seventy-Seven twisted his body uncomfortably, but dared not utter a sound.

After a long pause, Lychee exhaled a breath of stale air, her face full of helplessness, "Really, stop pretending, it's a bit fake."

The Four-Faced Ones were ashen-faced, their hearts... utterly dead.

Seventy-seven peeked out from behind. He felt he could speak now, so he cautiously looked at Lychee.

"Um... sister, who are you?"

Lychee pursed her lips, the corners of her mouth involuntarily curving upwards. She reached out and touched the sweet-talking little Pixiu, then looked at the Four-Faced Beast.

"Tell me, who is he? Is he your child? And with whom did he have the baby?"

The Four-Faced Beast shuddered, immediately snapping out of its near-death state and shaking its head vigorously, "Uh, no, no, no!"

Lychee frowned and stared at Seventy-Seven closely. A Pixiu, it eats celestial dew, and its features bear a resemblance to the Four-Faced Beast; who would believe there's no connection?

"It really isn't your child or any of those three brothers' children? Look, it looks just like you."

The four should not remain silent.

Brothers, how could they not look alike?

Seeing that he hadn't responded, Lychee became puzzled. Then, a sudden thought flashed through her mind, and she gasped, nearly shoving her paws into her mouth. She stared at him in astonishment.

"Could it be because of you and Bai Jie that... He's still a child!"

"No! Lychee, don't think nonsense! He has nothing to do with Little Sun!" The Four-Faced Beast instantly felt a chill run down its spine; it couldn't afford to take the blame for this!

"Then tell me whose child it is?" Lychee put down her paws, her gaze burning with curiosity, making the four-legged creature feel uneasy all over.

Seventy-Seven looked left and right, then weakly tugged at the tail of the Four-Faced Beast. "Um... can I tell you?"

"Let me tell you myself, little square..." The four-faced creature turned its face away weakly, avoiding meeting Lychee's gossipy gaze.

"He is Little Blue Circle's child, created by the Heavenly Court's institution for breeding divine beasts using Little Blue Circle's genes,"

"It has nothing to do with you?"

"Uh...no. No, wait, maybe yes...but maybe no?"

The four-legged creature gradually became incoherent, and Lychee nodded knowingly at his behavior.

"I understand, no need to say more."

What do you know?!

The four are on the verge of collapse.

Otherwise, we might as well just expose our father, but... but even if we do this, Lychee might not believe us!

After another incomprehensible explanation, with Lychee giving him a knowing look, Si Bu Xiang led Seventy-Seven away from the mountaintop.

He didn't know how he got through that time, nor when he got home; before he knew it, he was already at his doorstep.

He numbly pushed open the door and went in, where the three brothers, who were eating breakfast, looked over.

"What's wrong?" Pixie asked, completely bewildered by the lost and disoriented appearance of the Four-Faced Beast.

"A Qilin sister named Lychee discovered me and thought I was my father's and the Four-Faced Beast's child." Seventy-Seven came out from behind and immediately made a shocking statement.

Tianlu spat out a mouthful of rice onto the table, then looked up in shock. "What did you say?!"
