Back to high school, Peking University is beckoning me

When Lu Youning woke up the next day, it was almost noon.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes, looked out the window at the glaring sunlight, and couldn't help but regret her wild thoughts last night. She secretly warned herself that she couldn't do that again today. She had to adjust her state and prepare well to attend Ruan Fuxi's birthday party.

She took a deep breath and decided to let everything else take its course. She would wait a couple of days until she had calmed down and then think about this matter again.

Lu Youning got up, washed up, and ate a simple meal. Then she started thinking about what to wear when she went out.

She returned to her room, opened the wardrobe, and took out each piece of clothing, trying them out in front of her. Finally, she chose a white shirt and a small plaid skirt.

This combination is simple and elegant, and most importantly, it is very comfortable to wear. She then paired it with a small off-white crossbody bag, tied with the silk scarf that Lu Yixiao had given her earlier, and applied sunscreen before going out.

Lu Youning put the gift box on the desk into her small bag, which was just the right size. Then, she grabbed her phone and went out.

She and Lu Yixiao had made an appointment in advance to meet at the gate of Ruan Fuxi's community and then go in together.

Lu Youning took a taxi to the gate of the residential complex and saw Lu Yixiao already waiting there. She hurried over and said anxiously, "Xiaoxiao, I'm here. Have you been waiting for a long time?"

As they were talking, they arrived at Ruan Fuxi's house. Lu Youning rang the doorbell, and soon the door opened from the inside.

Ruan Fuxi came out quickly and said, "You guys sit for a while, I'll wash some fruit."

Lu Youning and Lu Yixiao nodded, then walked into the living room where many people had already gathered.

I saw a few boys sitting at a table on the balcony, concentrating on playing games, tapping their fingers quickly on the screens of their mobile phones, and shouting from time to time because of the battle situation in the game.

The girls, on the other hand, sat lazily on the sofa, forming a small circle, discussing something animatedly. Bursts of laughter could be heard from time to time, making the atmosphere in the entire living room seem particularly relaxed and comfortable.

Lu Youning looked around and found that those boys were classmates and roommates in Class 1 of Science, as well as Zuo Baiyang and his girlfriend Lin Qingyao, whom he met at the competition celebration party.

She was quite familiar with these people, so she took Lu Yixiao and greeted everyone with a smile.

Afterwards, the two of them were not restrained and naturally found an empty seat in the living room, sat down slowly, and prepared to blend into the lively atmosphere.

I heard a few girls gossiping about Xiao Qi's pursuit of Meng Xin. Lu Youning remembered that Xiao Qi was very attentive to Meng Xin at the celebration party and thought they had been together for a long time.

I didn't expect that Xiao Qi acted so quickly even though they just got together a while ago.

So she and Lu Yixiao pricked up their ears curiously and listened. The girls described the whole process vividly, as if they had witnessed it with their own eyes.

Gu Siyuan went into the kitchen to help Ruan Fuxi get some fruit and said, "If anyone wants some fruit, please help yourself. Eat some first, the dishes will be here soon."

Lu Youning took some grapes and ate them with Lu Yixiao. The two of them ate fruit while listening to gossip.

"Well, these grapes are quite sweet." Lu Yixiao said to Lu Youning with a smile while chewing.

Lu Youning also nodded in agreement: "Yes, it tastes really good." After saying that, he yawned.

Lu Yixiao took a closer look and found that there were obvious dark circles under Lu Youning's eyes. She asked with concern, "Ningning, did you not sleep well last night? Why are there dark circles under your eyes?"

Lu Youning asked, "I've put on makeup, is it still obvious?" Her skin is quite fair now, but if she didn't sleep well, the dark circles under her eyes would be very obvious.

Lu Yixiao picked up a grape and put it in his mouth, saying, "It's okay, you can't tell from a distance. By the way, how come you didn't sleep well? What are you thinking about?" He looked expectant of what would happen next.

After thinking for a while, he said, "Is it because of what I said?"

Lu Youning was so frightened that she quickly covered Lu Yixiao's mouth. She subconsciously looked around and was relieved to see that they were all focused on their own things. She threatened, "If you dare to say anything nonsense, I will 'destroy' you."

Lu Yixiao nodded quickly, and after Lu Youning took her hand away, she whispered, "I won't say anything nonsense, I'm just telling you. So, is it because of the great god that you didn't sleep well?"

Lu Youning simply admitted it and nodded: "That's part of the reason."

When Lu Yixiao heard this, she immediately became excited. The couple she had been rooting for was about to come true. She smiled so hard that her mouth almost reached her ears. "Hahaha, I told you so!"

Lu Youning looked at Lu Yixiao's wild smile and stretched out his hand to scratch Lu Yixiao's armpits, scolding her as he did so:

Lu Yixiao laughed out loud at being tickled, dodging left and right, begging for mercy:

The students around heard the noise and looked at him curiously.

Lu Yixiao finally stopped laughing and begged for mercy: "Okay, I was wrong, I won't tease you anymore."
