Bright Sword: Conquer the monk at the beginning and take down Zhou Weiguo
Chapter 312 Easy to carry
Suddenly, the entire team pounced on the enemy camp like a beast. Qin Cang and Liu San led their teams to surround the enemy from both sides, instantly breaking the enemy's defenses. Although the enemy reacted quickly, their defenses were extremely fragile under the rapid attack of Qin Cang and his men.
Qin Cang's sword was like the Grim Reaper's scythe, sweeping across everything. Every swing of his sword carried a deadly aura, leaving the enemy with little chance to fight back. Liu San's movements were equally swift, and wherever his sword pointed, the enemy fell like grass.
The battle was swift and fierce, and the entire camp was thrown into chaos in just a few minutes. The enemy soldiers were panicked and unable to organize an effective counterattack. Qin Cang and Liu San barely gave them any chance to breathe, and the enemy fell one after another.
"The enemy has no ability to resist." Liu San said calmly.
Qin Cang nodded, turned his sword, and walked deeper into the camp. He knew that the enemy commander was likely hiding in a corner of the camp, and only by eliminating the commander could their mission be considered complete.
"Follow me." Qin Cang said in a low voice, and continued to go deeper into the enemy camp with Liu San and other soldiers.
They passed through the tents and quickly approached the enemy's headquarters. The enemy commander had obviously not expected the sudden attack. When Qin Cang and Liu San led the team into the headquarters, the commander was standing in front of the map, trying to dispatch troops for a counterattack.
However, a trace of panic flashed in his eyes, and then Qin Cang stabbed him in the chest with a sword and he fell to the ground.
"Mission accomplished." Qin Cang said in a low voice and turned to look at Liu San.
Liu San nodded, a cold look flashed in his eyes: "We did it."
Qin Cang stood in the command center, calmly gazing at the fallen commander. His sword still dripped with blood, his eyes devoid of any joy or satisfaction. Every battle, especially this sudden attack, filled him with a deep sense of oppression, as if every swing of the sword, every kill, left an indelible mark on his heart.
"Liu San, lead the team to clear the camp." Qin Cang ordered in a low voice, his tone calm, as if this battle was just a part of daily life. His eyes did not leave the corpses on the ground, but he silently pondered his next move.
Liu San nodded, a sharp glint in his eyes. Without further ado, he quickly led his team to clean up the camp and process the spoils, ensuring nothing was left behind. Although their mission was accomplished, Qin Cang's eyes told him that the battle wasn't truly over. Behind every victory lay more dangers and more unknowns.
Qin Cang took a deep breath and walked to a corner of the camp, nearing a pile of discarded weapons and equipment. His eyes swept over the worn armor and weapons, and a sense of unease rose in his heart. He knew that his and his team's equipment had reached its limit. While these weapons were sufficient to deal with ordinary enemies, they might not be enough if they encountered a stronger opponent.
"I have to buy some self-defense stuff." Qin Cang said to himself, with a hint of contemplation in his tone.
He understood that as the commander of his team, his equipment was crucial, especially on this turbulent battlefield. Although his sword had been honed through countless battles, he had to ensure he had sufficient capabilities to respond as the enemy changed. Anxiety welled up in Qin Cang's heart. He wasn't afraid of death, but he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to protect his team and lead them out of this dangerous situation.
"Liu San." Qin Cang turned around and called in a low voice.
Liu San quickly walked to Qin Cang's side, a hint of doubt in his eyes. "Captain, what's going on?"
"We need some new equipment." Qin Cang didn't directly express his concerns, but simply said, "After you are ready, lead the team to purchase it."
Liu San frowned slightly, vaguely understanding Qin Cang's intentions. He knew that Qin Cang was not someone who would easily show anxiety. Since he mentioned equipment, it was obvious that he had new plans. "Understood, Captain. Let's act now."
"Remember, try to buy some light yet sturdy weapons, preferably ones suitable for quick assaults," Qin Cang warned, a flicker of determination in his eyes. "This battle is far from over, we can't let our guard down."
Liu San nodded and quickly led the team out of the command center, disappearing into the darkness of the night. Qin Cang stood there, watching their backs disappear, his heart filled with unease. This unease was not because of the outcome of the battle, but because he knew that behind the battle, there was an even more complicated situation waiting for them.
He returned to the center of the camp, sat on a rock, closed his eyes, and tried to calm his thoughts. Qin Cang's mind replayed the images of the battle. The moment the enemy fell, blood spurted out, and the faces of the dead seemed to still appear before him. He knew that this feeling was not simply guilt, but a sense of powerlessness, a helplessness that no matter how hard he tried, he could not change his fate.
"How far can I lead them?" Qin Cang silently asked himself, his eyes closed, the faces of his teammates one after another emerging in his mind. Each one was fighting for survival, each one paying the price of his life for this team. They were not born warriors, but the pressure of life and death made them the strongest warriors.
"We can't let them die here." Qin Cang's heart surged with a strong determination. He opened his eyes and looked deeply into the darkness in the distance. No matter how powerful the enemy in front of him was, he would not retreat. He had no way to retreat, only to move forward.
At this time, Liu San led the team back to the camp, carrying some newly purchased equipment. Their steps were light and their expressions were calm, as if they were already accustomed to this sudden battle and tension.
"Captain, the equipment is ready." Liu San walked up to Qin Cang and whispered, "These weapons and armor are very suitable for us, especially these short swords and daggers, which are light and easy to carry."
Qin Cang nodded, took a dagger, and held it in his hand. His eyes lingered on the dagger for a moment, the sharp blade gleaming coldly in the moonlight. "Very good, these weapons suit us."
"Captain, we need more supplies," Liu San continued. "If the enemy discovers our location, we might not have enough food to last long."
Qin Cang's brow furrowed slightly, and anxiety surged in his heart again. He knew that the shortage of supplies would directly affect the team's survivability, especially in a long battle, where the lack of food and water could put them in great trouble.
