Chapter 276 Investigating Wang Zuan
The three of them acted quickly and began to investigate Wang Zuan's background. They learned through various channels that Wang Zuan had worked in the company for three years and had always been diligent, but recently had a conflict with his boss and was fired.
"I think Wang Zuan is very suspicious," Fu Siyuan said. "After being fired, could it be that he was dissatisfied and planned this hacker attack?"
"It's very likely." Li Wei nodded, "We have to find him and see if we can get some clues from him."
So, they began to look for Wang Zuan's whereabouts. After some effort, they finally found his address. At Wang Zuan's door, they knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" A deep voice came from behind the door.
"We are reporters and want to talk to you," said Zhang Wanqing.
The door slowly opened, and a young man who looked a little haggard appeared at the door. He was wearing a simple T-shirt, his hair was a little messy, and there was a trace of fatigue in his eyes.
"What do you want from me?" Wang Zuan asked.
"We'd like to know about your dismissal from the company," Zhang Wanqing said with a smile. "I heard you had a conflict with your boss. Could you tell us more about the situation?"
Wang Zuan's expression changed slightly, but he quickly regained his composure: "Nothing much to say, just some disagreements about work."
"After you were fired, did you ever think about taking revenge on the company?" Fu Siyuan asked directly.
Wang Zuan's face suddenly turned grim. "What do you mean? I've worked in the company for three years and have always worked very hard, yet they treat me like this. Do you think I'm the kind of person who would retaliate?"
"We're just investigating this hacker attack," Li Wei said. "Have you found anything suspicious?"
Wang Zuan shook his head: "No, I really don't know anything."
"Have you contacted any employees of the company recently?" Zhang Wanqing continued to ask.
Wang Zuan was silent for a moment, then said, "No, I stayed at home after being fired and didn't contact anyone."
"Have you found any suspicious IP addresses or devices?" Fu Siyuan asked.
Wang Zuan shook his head: "No, I really don't know anything."
"Okay, thank you for your cooperation." Zhang Wanqing said, "If you remember anything, please contact us."
The three left Wang Zuan's house, but their hearts were filled with doubts. Wang Zuan didn't look like someone who would plan a hacker attack, but his reaction seemed a little too calm.
"I think Wang Zuan is very suspicious." Fu Siyuan said, "We need to continue investigating him."
"That's right." Li Wei nodded, "He must know something we don't know."
"Then what should we do next?" Zhang Wanqing asked.
"We can start with his social circle and see if we can find some clues," Li Wei suggested.
"Good idea." Zhang Wanqing agreed. "Let's split up. Fu Siyuan will investigate his social media accounts, and Li Wei and I will investigate his friends and colleagues."
So, the three of them split up and started investigating again. Fu Siyuan checked Wang Zuan's social media accounts online and found that he had indeed not contacted anyone since being fired. However, he had posted some posts on social media complaining about the company, which made Fu Siyuan even more suspicious of him.
At the same time, Zhang Wanqing and Li Wei found some of Wang Zuan's friends and colleagues, trying to get some information from them. They found that Wang Zuan had always been very low-key in the company, but recently he had become a little abnormal.
Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating Wang Zuan's face. He slowly opened his eyes, the glare of the sun making it difficult to keep them open. He rubbed them, sat up, and surveyed the chaotic scene in the room, feeling a surge of irritation.
"Another bad morning." He muttered softly, with a hint of fatigue in his voice.
Wang Zuan got dressed, walked to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and found it was empty. He sighed, closed the refrigerator door, turned back to the living room, sat on the sofa, picked up his phone, and started browsing the news.
The news was flooded with reports of the hacker attack on Star Shine Games. Wang Zuan's lips curled up slightly, revealing a barely perceptible smile. He put down his phone, leaned back on the sofa, closed his eyes, and began to recall everything that had happened yesterday.
Last night, he received a mysterious phone call. The voice on the other end of the line was low and calm, telling him an important news: Xinghui Game Company's server had been hacked and all the data had been cleared.
"This is impossible." Wang Zuan was so shocked that he could hardly speak. He knew clearly that he was not involved in the hacking attack, but he became the first suspect.
"You were fired, so you must be feeling unhappy. That's why you did this." The voice on the other end of the phone seemed to see through his thoughts. "You'd better be careful, otherwise things will turn out badly for you."
Wang Zuan hung up the phone, his heart filled with doubts and uneasiness. He knew that he had to find the truth as soon as possible, otherwise he would be wrongly accused.
He stood up, walked to the bookshelf, and took out an old notebook. He opened a page and saw some codes and notes densely written on it. This was the draft of a game he had designed before, but the game was stolen by his boss, and he could only watch his hard work being taken away by others.
"None of this will be in vain," he whispered, a hint of determination in his voice.
Just then, the doorbell rang. Wang Zuan walked to the door, looked out through the peephole, and saw three people standing outside. He recognized two of them: reporter Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan. He hesitated for a moment, then opened the door.
"You're here again." There was a hint of helplessness in Wang Zuan's tone.
"We want to talk to you again." Zhang Wanqing said with a smile, her eyes revealing determination. "We believe you can tell us something."
Wang Zuan nodded and let them in. The three of them sat on the sofa, and the atmosphere seemed a little tense.
"Wang Zuan, we've looked into your background," Fu Siyuan said. "We've noticed that you've always been very low-key at the company, but recently you've been acting a little strange."
Wang Zuan's expression changed slightly, but he quickly regained his composure: "I'm just a little disappointed. After being fired by the company, I've been trying to adjust my mentality."
"What was the reason for your dismissal?" Zhang Wanqing asked with a hint of concern in her tone.
Wang Zuan was silent for a moment, then said, "Actually, I had some problems with my boss. I designed a game, but he stole the fruits of my labor and took all the credit for himself. I couldn't stand this unfair treatment, so I had a conflict with him and ended up being fired."
"Then do you know about this hacker attack?" Fu Siyuan asked.
Wang Zuan shook his head: "I really don't know anything. After I was fired, I stayed at home and didn't contact anyone."
"Then can you show us your computer?" Zhang Wanqing asked a key question.
Wang Zuan was stunned for a moment, then nodded: "Okay."
