Chapter 223 Raid on the North and West Warehouses

"Apart from these people, are there any other channels for selling stolen goods?" Zhang Wanqing asked.

"There's another place." Wu Tian hesitated for a moment, then finally said, "There's a dog meat processing factory in the east of the city. They specialize in buying dog meat, then canning it and selling it to other places."

"Dog meat processing factory?" Fu Siyuan frowned. "Do you know the exact address?"

"I know. It's in the industrial area in the east of the city. It's easy to find." Wu Tian said.

"Have you contacted them directly?" Li Wei asked.

"Yes, their leader is Liu Dayong, an old friend of mine." Wu Tian sighed, "I spoke to him on the phone before I was arrested."

"Hand over his contact information as well." Zhang Wanqing said.

Wu Tian nodded and wrote down Liu Dayong's phone number and address.

"Is there any other important information?" Fu Siyuan continued to ask.

"There is one more important thing." Wu Tian raised his head, a hint of hesitation in his eyes, "Before I was arrested, I had contact with a mysterious person."

"Mysterious person?" Zhang Wanqing frowned. "Who is it?"

"I didn't know his name, but he seemed very interested in my business," Wu Tian said. "He provided me with a lot of funding to help me expand."

"What does he look like?" Fu Siyuan asked.

"He always wore a hat and sunglasses, so I couldn't see his face clearly." Wu Tian shook his head, "But I remember his license plate number. It was a black sedan."

"What's the license plate number?" Zhang Wanqing asked.

Wu Tian wrote down the license plate number. Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan looked at each other, their hearts full of doubts.

"This person may be the mastermind behind this." Fu Siyuan said in a low voice.

"Well, we must find out." Zhang Wanqing nodded.

"You must catch him." Wu Tian raised his head, a hint of pleading in his eyes, "He is more dangerous than me."

"We will," Zhang Wanqing said coldly, "but you must be responsible for your crimes."

"Do you think that confessing this will lessen your guilt?" Fu Siyuan sneered, "Your crimes are irreparable, but you can choose to cooperate and strive for a lighter sentence."

"I know." Wu Tian lowered his head, his eyes filled with regret. "I just wanted to make some money, but I didn't expect to hurt so many people."

"You're not just harming people, you're also harming those innocent dogs." Zhang Wanqing looked at him coldly, "They have lives too, and yet you're willing to hurt them just for money."

"I know I was wrong." Wu Tian raised his head, a hint of despair in his eyes, "I will accept the punishment of the law."

"I hope you can truly repent." Zhang Wanqing said with a hint of coldness in her tone, "But justice will not let you go just because of a word you said."

The door of the interrogation room was pushed open, and a police officer walked in: "The interrogation is over, take him to the detention room."

After the interrogation, Wu Tian was taken away. Wu Tian was taken away by the police, his figure looking particularly lonely under the light of the interrogation room. Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan were silent for a while. Fu Siyuan spoke first: "We have so many clues, and the next thing we need to do is take action."

"Well, we need to dismantle his criminal network as quickly as possible," Zhang Wanqing said. "Those warehouses and distribution centers must be investigated and dealt with immediately."

"And that mysterious man," Li Wei said, "he might be a bigger threat."

"I'll arrange for someone to check the license plate number." Fu Siyuan said, "We can't miss any clues."

After Wu Tian was taken away, Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan immediately returned to the command center to organize the information obtained from the interrogation into a detailed action plan. Time was running out, and they had to act before Wu Tian's accomplices could react.

"We must act immediately." Zhang Wanqing stood in front of a map in the command center and circled the locations of three warehouses. "We've already searched the warehouse in the south of the city, but there may still be dogs being held in the warehouses in the north and west."

"I suggest we split into three groups and raid these three locations simultaneously," Fu Siyuan said. "This will prevent them from informing each other."

"Agreed." A police officer nodded. "I'll be in charge of the warehouse in the north of the city. It's close to the farmers' market and may have more evidence of stolen goods."

"Siyuan and I are going to the west of the city," Zhang Wanqing said. "It's close to the river, and the terrain is complex. We need to be careful."

"Okay, I'll immediately arrange for the SWAT team and other police support," the police officer said, giving operational instructions over the intercom. "The goal is to rescue the imprisoned dog, arrest the criminals, and obtain more evidence."

The warehouse in the north of the city was located in an abandoned factory building on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by overgrown weeds, making it particularly hidden. A police officer led a team of special police officers to quietly approach the target location. They were in plain clothes to minimize the risk of being discovered.

"This is the Chengbei team. We've arrived at our target location," the police officer reported to the command center via intercom. "The factory gate is closed, there are no lights, but we can hear dogs barking from inside."

"Received. Stay safe and be ready for action at any time." The command center responded.

The SWAT team quickly dispersed and surrounded the warehouse from multiple directions. The team leader signaled the team members to get ready, then kicked open the door.

"Police! Don't move!" they shouted, pointing their guns into the warehouse.

The warehouse was dark, but with the help of the flashlight, they saw that it was filled with iron cages with dozens of dogs inside. When they saw someone coming in, they all whimpered.

"Let the dogs out quickly!" the team leader ordered, and the team members acted quickly, opened the iron cages, and let the dogs out one by one.

"There's someone inside!" a team member suddenly shouted. They saw a figure swaying in the corner of the warehouse.

"Come out!" the police shouted, and the man slowly walked out of the shadows, raised his hands, his eyes full of fear.

"I'm a worker here. I don't know what you are talking about." The man tried to argue, but Li Wei had already searched his pocket and found a cell phone and some account books.

"You'd better behave yourself." Li Wei looked at him coldly, "We will get to the bottom of everything."

At the same time, Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan led another group of people to the warehouse in the west of the city. It was close to the river and the terrain was complicated, but the lights in the warehouse were still on, which showed that someone was inside.

"This is the West City Team. There are lights at the target location, and there may be people there." Fu Siyuan reported through the walkie-talkie.

"Received, be safe." The command center responded.

Zhang Wanqing and her team members approached the warehouse quietly. Fu Siyuan kicked the door open and rushed in.

"Police! Put down your weapons!" Fu Siyuan shouted loudly, pointing his pistol into the warehouse.

Inside the warehouse, several dog dealers were busy loading dogs onto trucks. When they saw the police coming in, they panicked and tried to escape.

"Don't move!" Zhang Wanqing shouted, and the team members quickly subdued them.

"You're done!" Fu Siyuan walked up to one of the dog dealers and searched his body for his phone and keys. "All the dogs here will be rescued."

The team members quickly opened the iron cages and released the dogs one by one. Zhang Wanqing looked at these imprisoned dogs, her heart filled with anger and sympathy.

"We will seek justice for you," she whispered softly.
