Love and choices across time and space

Chapter 141 Parent-child time

During this trip full of novelty and surprises, Lin Wan'er and her family especially cherished the rare parent-child time. Every moment was like a shining pearl, embedded in their hearts, making the relationship between family members deeper and stronger.

In the early morning, as the first rays of sunlight filtered through the slits in the curtains onto the carpet, the children would eagerly jump onto the bed, snuggling into their parents' arms and waking up the still-sleeping Lin Wan'er and Li Ming with their tender voices. Together, the three of them would walk to the balcony, breathing in the fresh sea breeze and admiring the magnificent sight of the rising sun painting the sea a brilliant orange-red.

"Mom and Dad, look at the sun, doesn't it look like a big fireball?" The child pointed to the sky, curiosity glittering in his eyes.

Lin Wan'er smiled and hugged the child in her arms, saying, "Baby, that's the sun greeting us, telling us that a new day has begun."

Li Ming gently stroked the child's head and said, "Yes, it's a new day. We can explore more fun places together again."

After breakfast, the family strolled hand in hand along the beach. The children would sometimes run excitedly, chasing the waves, and sometimes crouch down to carefully observe the tiny crabs and shells on the sand. Lin Wan'er and Li Ming stood by, constantly reminding the children to be safe and also joining in their play.

"Baby, come and look at this shell. Isn't it beautiful?" Lin Wan'er picked up a shell with colorful patterns and handed it to the child.

The child took the shell and smiled happily: "Mom, I will take it home and put it in my little drawer."

Li Ming built a small castle with sand, which made the children cheer and say, "Dad, let's dig a moat for the castle!"

The family worked together and their laughter echoed on the beach.

At noon, under the blazing sun, they would return to the hotel's swimming pool. The child, wearing a swimming ring, splashed in the water while Lin Wan'er and Li Ming patiently taught him swimming techniques.

"Baby, don't be afraid, just move your arms and kick your legs like this." Li Ming demonstrated the standard movements.

The child tried hard and drank a few sips of water, but he still didn't give up: "I will learn it, Dad!"

Lin Wan'er encouraged her from the side: "Baby, you're the best, keep it up!"

When the child was finally able to swim a short distance on his own, the family of three hugged each other excitedly and cheered for this small progress.

In the afternoon, they'll head to a local park or botanical garden. Spreading out their picnic mats under the shade of trees, they'll enjoy a hearty picnic. The children will help arrange the food, passing fruit to their parents, and the whole family will have a great time.

"Mom, this cake is so delicious. Can we have a picnic like this next time?" The child said incoherently with food in his mouth.

Lin Wan'er smiled and replied, "Of course, as long as my baby likes it."

In the park, they played hide-and-seek. The child hid behind a tree, covering his mouth with his hands and giggling, thinking he was hiding well, but Lin Wan'er and Li Ming always found him easily. Then the roles reversed: the child closed his eyes and counted, while Lin Wan'er and Li Ming searched for the hiding place.

"Ten, nine, eight... here I come!" The child opened his eyes excitedly and began to look for his parents.

When the sun sets and the sky is covered with a gorgeous sunset glow, they will sit on the beach and build a bonfire together. The child will snuggle between Lin Wan'er and Li Ming and listen to their childhood stories.

"Dad, were you so naughty when you were a child?" the child asked curiously.

Li Ming smiled and said, "I'm even more naughty than you. I often make my grandparents angry."

Lin Wan'er continued, "Mom was very well behaved when she was little. She always helped grandma with housework."

The child listened attentively, his eyes filled with longing for his parents' childhood.

Back in the hotel room, Lin Wan'er would give the child a hot bath and change him into soft pajamas, while Li Ming would lay out a storybook on the bed and wait for the child.

"What story do you want to hear today, baby?" Li Ming asked.

The child thought for a moment and said, "Tell me the story of the brave little rabbit."

Li Ming told the story with great emotion, and the child gradually fell asleep in Lin Wan'er's arms. Looking at the child's peaceful sleeping face, Lin Wan'er and Li Ming gently kissed his forehead, their hearts filled with happiness and satisfaction.

One day, they went to a water park together. The child was a little scared of the high slides at first, but with the encouragement of Lin Wan'er and Li Ming, he finally mustered up the courage to try it.

"Baby, you are the bravest, believe in yourself!" Lin Wan'er shouted from under the slide.

The child slid down the slide and fell into the water, shouting excitedly: "I did it, I'm not afraid!"

Li Ming applauded him from the side: "Son, good job!"

The family of three spent the whole day playing in the water park and enjoying themselves to the fullest.

Another time, they rented a small boat and went fishing. The child waited patiently for the fish to bite, and when he finally caught a small fish, he danced with joy.

"Mom and Dad, look, I caught a fish!" The child excitedly showed his results.

Lin Wan'er smiled and said, "Baby is really amazing. We can have an extra meal tonight."

Li Ming helped put the fish into the bucket, and the family spent a peaceful and beautiful afternoon on the sea.

During the trip, the child accidentally fell and was injured. Lin Wan'er and Li Ming caringly treated his wound and comforted him softly.

"Baby, don't be afraid, it will be healed soon." Lin Wan'er blew gently on the child's wound.

Li Mingze hugged the child and said, "A man should be strong. This little injury is nothing."

The child nodded with tears in his eyes and quickly forgot the pain in the love of his parents.

At night, they lay together on the big bed in the hotel, looking at the stars outside the window and sharing each other's dreams and wishes.

"Dad, when I grow up I want to be a pilot and fly in the sky like a bird." The child said with longing.

Lin Wan'er said, "Then Mom hopes you can realize your dreams and fly high."

Li Ming continued, "Dad believes you can do it, but no matter what you do, we will support you."

These precious parent-child moments have brought Lin Wan'er's family closer. Every smile, every hug, and every warm word have become eternal memories in their hearts.

Here is the part that continues to be expanded for you:

In a quiet town, Lin Wan'er and her family participated in a local parent-child baking class. As soon as they entered the fragrant baking classroom, the child's eyes lit up.

"Wow, there are so many flour and molds here!" the child said excitedly.

Lin Wan'er and Li Ming smiled as they helped the children tie aprons. The whole family gathered in front of the workbench and listened carefully to the baking teacher's explanation.

"First, we need to mix the flour and eggs together." The teacher demonstrated.

The child couldn't wait to pick up the egg beater and started stirring like an adult. Soon his face was covered with flour, which made Lin Wan'er and Li Ming laugh.

"Baby, you look like a little kitten." Lin Wan'er smiled and helped wipe the flour off the child's face.

Li Ming was carefully adding sugar and milk to the batter, and the family worked in perfect harmony.

Then, they poured the batter into the mold and put it in the preheated oven. While waiting, the child kept asking, "When will it be ready?"

Finally, the oven made a "ding" sound, and the fragrant cake came out of the oven. The child clapped his hands excitedly: "The cake we made must be delicious!"

The family sat at the table, tasting the cake they made themselves. The sweet taste spread in their mouths and the feeling of happiness filled their hearts.

On another trip, they came to a farm in the mountains. In the early morning, the sun shone through the gaps in the leaves onto the grass, and the family decided to pick fresh fruit together.

The child was running happily in the orchard with a small basket in his hand. "Mom, look, I found a big apple!" he shouted excitedly.

Lin Wan'er walked over, gently picked the apple, and put it in the child's basket. "Baby, you are so amazing. You can find such beautiful apples."

Li Ming was diligently picking fruits from the trees nearby. "The fruits here are all natural, they must be delicious."

After picking the fruits, they went to feed the animals on the farm. The child took the grass and carefully handed it to the lamb. He smiled happily when he saw the lamb eating with gusto.

"Dad, the lamb is eating so happily!" said the child.

Li Ming smiled and replied, "Because you fed it, it must like it very much."

At night, the family sat around the campfire, the children looked up at the starry sky and listened to Lin Wan'er tell stories about the constellations.

"Mom, that star is so bright. What's its name?" the child asked curiously.

Lin Wan'er pointed to the starry sky and said, "That's the North Star. It can guide those who are lost."

Li Ming was playing the guitar beside them, and the soft music echoed in the night sky along with their laughter.

One day, they went to an art studio to participate in a parent-child painting activity. The child picked up the paintbrush and did not hesitate to express his imagination on the canvas.

"Mom, I want to draw a big castle for our whole family to live in," said the child.

Lin Wan'er smiled and nodded, then picked up her paintbrush and added some flowers and butterflies to the child's painting. Li Ming, on the other hand, drew a warm sun.

"Look, our painting is finished. Isn't it beautiful?" The children proudly showed their works.

Lin Wan'er and Li Ming praised: "Baby, your painting is amazing. This is our most beautiful home."

One afternoon at the beach, they participated in a sand sculpture competition. The child used his little hands to work hard on the sand, trying to shape a giant dinosaur.

"Dad, come and help me, the dinosaur's legs keep collapsing." The child shouted anxiously.

Li Ming quickly ran over to help the children hold the sand in place, while Lin Wan'er prepared water for them to keep the sand moist.

After some hard work, their sand sculpture was finally completed. "Wow, our dinosaur is so cool!" the child jumped up excitedly.

The family of three stood in front of the sand sculpture and took a photo to record this unforgettable moment.

During the trip, the child fell ill. Lin Wan'er and Li Ming were extremely anxious and stayed by the child's bedside all night.

"Baby, get well soon." Lin Wan'er said softly, wiping the child's forehead with a wet towel.

Li Ming told the child a story to distract him. "Don't be afraid, mom and dad are here."

With their careful care, the child finally recovered. "Thank you, Mom and Dad, I feel much better now," the child said weakly.

Lin Wan'er and Li Ming hugged the child tightly, their eyes full of relief.

In an ancient town, they visited a traditional workshop together, and the child watched with curiosity as the artisans created exquisite wood carvings and ceramics.

"Dad, I want to try it too," said the child.

The craftsman smiled and handed the child a piece of wood and a small carving knife. The child carved carefully, and although his carving was crooked, he was very serious.

Lin Wan'er encouraged her from the side: "Baby, you did a great job, keep it up."

Li Ming helped guide them from the side, and the whole family was immersed in the joy of creation.

Every day of the trip was filled with warmth and joy for Lin Wan'er and her family. They weathered the storms and enjoyed the sunshine together, and the time they shared with their children became the most precious treasure in their lives.
