Ultra: Dragon Sword Journey

Chapter 39: Red vs. Blue

Recently, numerous muscular men, often boxers, who are passionate about fitness and fighting have mysteriously disappeared, all in the dead of night. To date, no witnesses have appeared. Faced with these paranormal incidents, the Victory Team has vigorously launched an investigation, but despite a long and arduous search, no one has returned.

So, they immediately launched a regular patrol of the surrounding streets, hoping to find any trace of the attackers or witnesses. Dagu and Xincheng, driving their Sherlocks like two meteors, sped through the city streets with lightning speed, their eyes as sharp as hawks, never letting go of a single suspicious corner.

"After investigating for so long, the disappearance case is still a mystery and there is no clue. Even the male actor was not spared tonight," Xincheng sighed.

The figure of Megumi Naruma appeared vaguely on the car screen: "Team member Shinjo, Team member Daigu, please rush to the 55R point area."

"Who's missing?" Dagu asked anxiously.

"Finally there is a witness this time," the captain replied happily.

"Okay, let's go to the scene right away." Xincheng stepped on the accelerator and drove to the scene as fast as an arrow.

When the two arrived at the scene, they were confused by the witness's description. They only confirmed that there were two aliens in the shape of squids, one blue and one red. After carefully understanding the details, Da Gu immediately returned to painting.

At the same moment, a blue light flashed, and a tall alien in strange blue clothes quietly appeared at the door of an old lady's house. The old lady had lived alone for a long time. When she opened the door and saw this mysterious visitor, her face did not show any panic. Instead, she smiled warmly, as if she had seen a long-lost relative.

The old woman quickly invited the alien into the house and served it carefully prepared snacks and fruit. The alien was surprised by the old woman's hospitality, but gladly accepted it. He looked around curiously, intrigued by the simple yet warm decor of the house.

The old woman looked at the alien's strange attire and was full of doubts, but she still smiled and started chatting with it. The alien seemed to be able to read the old woman's thoughts and introduced itself to her through a magical telepathy: "I am from the distant planet Stendel." The old woman listened quietly, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Thus, two beings, one old and one young, from different planets, began a journey across the stars. They shared the details of each other's lives, sometimes laughing, sometimes lost in thought. Despite a language barrier, the connection between their hearts made this conversation exceptionally smooth.

Before she knew it, night fell. Feeling a little sleepy, the old woman stood up to turn off the lights and rest. However, as her hand touched the light switch, the alien, who had been sitting quietly, suddenly jumped up and stopped the old woman with a look of fear on his face. After some gestures and explanations, the old woman finally understood that this seemingly powerful alien was actually afraid of the dark.

Seeing the alien's nervous expression, the grandmother couldn't help but laugh. She gently patted the alien's shoulder and said soothingly, "Don't be afraid, child. I'm here with you." Then, the grandmother sat back on the sofa and continued chatting with the alien. Under the dim light, their figures intertwined, like a warm and harmonious painting.

The next morning, the grandmother woke up and didn't see the strange man from yesterday. She saw the teacup on the table, just as it was yesterday. "Looks like he's gone. What's the point of not speaking the language? Why did he leave?" she sighed, looking out the window...

Inside the Victory Team's headquarters, Dagu drew two alien images based on eyewitness accounts. As the Victory Team members studied them carefully, Xincheng held up a blue image and asked, "Is this the guy? Which one of them is correct?"

"Maybe there are two," Dagu guessed.

"They were so scared at that time, what they said may not be reliable," Zongfang said rationally.

"But this is the only clue now!" The captain's expression was solemn. People kept disappearing, causing panic. We must find the aliens as soon as possible based on the existing clues to solve the case.

"I input the image into the main computer and checked it. Among the confirmed cosmic life forms, there is no one that fits this image," said Nori after a careful search.

"Click", the door of the command room slowly opened as if cast by magic, but no one was seen stepping in. The expressions of everyone were like the disturbed lake, with ripples of surprise.

At this moment, the paper with the alien drawing on it on the table suddenly floated up in the air as if it had life. Xincheng screamed in surprise: "Ah, Captain, are we seeing a ghost in broad daylight?"

"Team Xincheng, what kind of ghost would be so blind as to dare to run into the Victory Team's command room and cause trouble?" Lina rolled her eyes at him and scolded him.

"That's right, you're too cowardly." Zhao Ming's voice echoed in the command room like a ghost, and his figure gradually became clearer.

"You again!" Xincheng rushed over like an angry lion, fangs and claws bared, clamping Zhao Ming's head tightly under his armpits like an iron clamp, and then vented his anger fiercely. After a while of fighting, the two of them finally calmed down like two naughty little monkeys.

"Zhao Ming, what kind of magical ability do you have?" the captain asked solemnly.

Zhao Ming scratched his head, with a sly smile on his lips, and said: "Captain, this is a magic illusion spell. After using it, you can hide your body perfectly like a chameleon and interfere with the refraction of light, so as to blend in with the surrounding environment."

Seeing everyone looking at him unfriendlyly, Zhao Ming smiled awkwardly: "Haha, I was just playing a little joke on you guys just now"!

"Now is not the time to joke around." Zongfang's brows were furrowed, like a volcano about to erupt. "You've come just in time. Do you have any new discoveries about aliens?"

Zhao Ming immediately put away his smile and his expression became serious: "Based on the analysis of the existing clues, I speculate that the one in red and the one in blue should be two aliens, and their positions are likely to be opposing. The appearance of the two witnesses yesterday is most likely that one of them interfered with the actions of the other. And those missing people must have been abducted by one of them. They are all strong and healthy, and they should have been captured and taken to the alien planet for transformation to serve as combat soldiers. Therefore, as long as we can find one of them, we can uncover the mystery of all things."

"After such analysis, the evidence narrated and carefully described by the eyewitness yesterday seems reasonable. It turns out that two aliens were fighting each other."

After careful consideration, Iruma Kei said, "Team Nori, quickly display the missing persons statistics on the big screen." "This is the area with the most disappearances over the past few days, from Area P to Area R, roughly within this range. And the time of year—all of them—is between nightfall and dawn," she said after summarizing the information on the big screen.

"Based on this situation, the guy who kidnapped people at night is most likely active only at night. So far, there has been no report of people missing during the day, so the target is obvious. They are two hostile races. We might as well focus on daytime patrols and searches first," Zhao Ming said, taking over the words from Ju Jianhui.

"A nocturnal life form?" Lina speculated thoughtfully.

"I've thought, if we can just apprehend those guys who are active at night and sleep soundly during the day, won't everything be fine?" Digging a well tried to liven up the atmosphere.

"This is a great idea, but you have to inform TPC first to build a prison as large as an offshore base. After all, there are many people on Earth who work from nine to six," Zhao Ming said with a smile, looking up and giving a thumbs up to the well digging.

"This is not the time for jokes," the captain said seriously.

"Set off immediately and conduct an investigation from Area P to Area R," Zongfang gave the order without hesitation.

"Understood," everyone set off immediately.

The Victory Team split into three groups and searched for the alien that only moved during the day from both the air and the ground.

"Hate it, why do you only let me drive a dram car? I'm an ace pilot!" Xincheng complained dissatisfiedly

"Xincheng, I think it would be more appropriate for you to replace the word "king" with "death". Don't you see how many times you have crashed the plane? You are almost put on the blacklist and wanted by the maintenance personnel in the hangar," Zhao Ming complained while sitting in the back row.

"Ah, did you fall many times? No, it's very hard for us to fly a fighter jet, please don't talk nonsense!" Xincheng kept making excuses.

Just as the two were bickering, Zongfang's voice came from the communicator: "Attention all teams, abnormal energy fluctuations have been detected in Area P, and a suspected target has appeared. Go and check it out quickly."

When Xincheng heard this, he immediately became excited: "Finally, there is something serious to do, let's go!" As he said that, he stepped on the accelerator and drove towards area P.

On the bridge not far away, a red and white figure, like a behemoth in a bloated spacesuit, with a face made of a diamond-shaped dark blue crystal, looked like an alien without facial features. He was carrying an old lady on his back and walking at lightning speed in front.

"Xincheng, look!" Zhao Ming pointed in the direction of the finger. "Look, that should be the alien we are looking for that is active in the daytime."

"Command, we have found the target, please arrive as soon as possible!" Xincheng immediately conveyed to others through communication.

"Hello, can we talk?" Zhao Ming approached, his words as gentle as a spring breeze. "Oh, is this a form of communication similar to telepathy?"

After the others arrived, Zhao Ming immediately explained the situation briefly!

The old lady was also busy explaining for the alien, claiming that it had no malicious intentions.

"I am Redel from the planet Standel. I have come all the way to Earth in search of Abbas." Everyone heard what Redel said and began to gradually understand their information.

It turns out that the planet it is on is like a mirror split in half, with two distinct races living there. They are as opposite as day and night, one can only move during the day, and the other can only appear at night.

Now, to control the daytime, the enemy has provoked a thrilling war. Like hungry wolves, they have descended upon Earth, intent on finding strong humans and transforming them into soldiers capable of fighting bravely both day and night. Meanwhile, it has been working tirelessly to thwart their plot, hoping to seize this opportunity to annihilate Abbas in one fell swoop!

"I see. The universe is vast, but no one is better at fighting than the people on Earth. That's why they kidnap people with strong fighting abilities and transform them into soldiers." Munakata was the first to break the silence.

"That's absolutely true. Since the dawn of humanity, we've engaged in thrilling life-and-death battles with all manner of ferocious beasts. Later, as our respective civilizations blossomed, internal wars began. The fighting between them never ceases. When it comes to warfare, no one is more experienced than humans," Zhao Ming continued.

"We should think about how to attract Abbas so that we can rescue the Earthlings it has captured!" Zongfang touched his chin and thought.

"Since Abbas has a special preference for strong men, then everyone here is a seasoned elite carefully selected by TPC. There is no better candidate than you," Zhao Ming said, raising his eyebrows and looking at them sharply.

"How about we wait until nightfall and have a hearty free-fight match to lure Abbas over, and then take advantage of the opportunity to finish him off." Zhao Ming said as he gestured with his hands, as if outlining a thrilling battle scene, and finally crossed his neck with his hand, making a fatal gesture.

After listening to Zhao Ming's proposal, the team members nodded in agreement.

The old lady looked at Zhao Ming with a smile on her face and said, "This child is really smart, I like him." Then she knocked the digging well's head hard and said, "I say, is your head only used for wearing a helmet?"

"Old lady, why did you hit me?" Digging Well said aggrievedly

"Of course I beat you because you don't use your brain," Zhao Ming looked at Jujing with a gloating look.

"Alright, let's follow Zhao Ming's plan," Zong Fang said. "Our opponents are the Abbasids, nocturnal creatures. Everyone, be prepared."

"It looks like today is going to be a long night," Lina said with a delighted look on her face.

"What what what? Why don't I understand?" Dijing said puzzledly.

"Well digger, you're responsible for guarding Redel at the old lady's house," Zhao Ming whispered in her ear. "If the situation doesn't go well, just use it—Naiyizut!"

Jujing nodded, and the others returned to the command room to report the battle plan.
