Traveling through Thailand
Chapter 62 Entering the game
A few minutes later, Sky's phone rang again. He picked it up and saw it was Rain. He was about to hang up, but somehow he pressed the answer button. Neither of them spoke immediately after the call was connected. After about three minutes, Sky sighed silently and was about to hang up when a voice came from the other end.
"Sky."
"Ah."
"I heard from P'phayu. I'm sorry."
"???" My condolences? My condolences for what? Sky was a little confused, not understanding why Rain said that.
"Sky, you have to be well. Yi in heaven doesn't want to see you sad or in pain."
“… …” No, who told you he was dead?
He was about to open his mouth to explain, but then he shut his mouth. He thought about the news that his uncle would return home the day after tomorrow, and after a moment's thought, he understood the twists and turns involved. But he couldn't admit it, after all, Yi was still alive.
Rain, who didn't hear a reply, imagined Sky's expression at the moment, his worry for him growing even stronger. He thought about how they'd been together every day since they'd met. Except for filming, whenever he saw Sky, he'd almost always find Yi nearby. And this time, because of the kidnapping incident, Yi, to protect them, had single-handedly cleared a safe passage for them to escape.
After returning, he realized that those who lay unresponsive on the ground must be dead. He was afraid of Xiao Yi's methods, but when P'phayu brought back the news of Yi's death, his fear and disgust disappeared without a trace, which was why he took the initiative to call Sky.
"Sky, are you okay?" Rain asked cautiously.
"I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you."
"Well, that...that."
Hearing his halting words, Sky knew what question he wanted to ask: "Uncle will be back the day after tomorrow."
What Rain heard was that they would return to Dragon Country to hold a burial ceremony.
"I see. I was thinking of giving you a ride."
"It's okay, Yi won't mind."
"Are you coming too?"
"Maybe."
"Ok?"
"Rain, don't run around during this time. Don't answer any unfamiliar calls. Stay by P'phayu's side and don't leave. Uncle Cai has already informed you that as long as you don't go to places with few people, you won't be in danger. Their people will always protect you."
"Yeah, P'phayu already told me that."
"Don't worry, this situation won't last long."
After listening to Rain's words of comfort, Sky hung up the phone. Thinking of the news he got from Rain, Sky called his father.
"What's wrong, Sky?"
"If someone asks you about Yi later, just say you don't know."
"it is good."
"Don't worry, you haven't had any contact with Yi. The chances of them calling you are slim, and I'm calling just in case. If they do, they'll just ask a few simple questions. Just answer them truthfully, and they won't make things difficult for you." After all, this is Country T, not their Dragon Country. And there are people protecting them outside. He believes that with double the number of people protecting them this time, the situation like last time won't happen again.
"Okay, I know."
"Take care of yourself, don't worry too much about me."
After returning home, Xiao's father brought Xiao Yi's body with him. In the funeral room, after everyone pretended to wipe their tears and left, a man wearing a hat, a mask, and all black stood before him, his eyes examining the lifeless body.
Three minutes later, the man left quietly just as he had come quietly.
"how?"
"Not me."
"reason."
"The calluses on my hands are wrong."
"Sure?"
"determine."
"Boss, should we still proceed according to the plan?"
"Humph, the body isn't real, which means the news isn't true either. If you already know it's fake, only a fool would jump in. But then again, he's back, so where's his son?"
The honest and strong man who was scolded was not angry, but just smiled foolishly.
"So is the reason why his wife didn't come back to see him off for the last time true or false?"
"According to the news, the wife was taken to the hospital after hearing about her son's death. She was unable to react immediately."
"Although this reason is far-fetched, it makes sense."
After the funeral, the assistant drove Mr. Xiao back to the hotel. He first checked the hotel for hidden cameras, eavesdropping devices, and other items. Only after confirming the area was safe did Mr. Xiao finally relax.
The assistant didn't look very good after answering the phone.
Father Xiao took off his glasses and said, "It seems that the bait has been seen through. We really can't underestimate their methods."
The assistant stood by, head slightly lowered. "According to reports, a suspect, approximately 1.68 meters tall, whose identity is unclear, entered the area. He didn't do anything, just stood there for three minutes before leaving. However, our staff followed him out and saw him get into a BMW and drive away."
"Have you checked the license plate number?"
"It's a deck."
After a day of running around, Father Xiao looked tired.
"Sir, would you like to take a rest first?"
Father Xiao waved his hand and asked about something else: "Where's Zero?"
"In the past two days, we found two more turtles inside, and now the training is almost complete."
"Tell him that those old guys can go first. One a day. I won't let any of them live in peace. Remember to send them some of the bullets that were shot into Yi Yi's body and the developed photos."
He did this to show those people that he had a reason for doing so, and that he wasn't deliberately trying to stir up family strife. They sent his men abroad to kill his son, leading to his untimely death. As a father, he was taking action against them to avenge his child. So even if this incident angered some, he stood on the victim's side, and others had to keep their opinions to themselves.
"Yes."
After Xiao's father and his family returned home, Sky decided to stay in the hospital under 24-hour care. He read novels to pass the time, but every half hour, Sky would glance in Xiao Yi's direction, confirming the number on the machine was stable before continuing. This repetition, once a timer, made him stop listening to the vibrations, and it became a natural habit.
Time passed by minute by minute, and one of the bodyguards the assistant had called for security knocked on the door and said, "Master Sky, it's time for the shift change."
Sky looked up and saw that it was indeed late, so he got up and prepared to go back to the lounge.
This hospital is privately owned and has many VIP rooms specially built for those in need.
After returning to his room, washing up, and preparing to go to bed, he heard gunshots and faint sounds of fists and kicks outside. Sky's face darkened immediately, and he quickly opened the door and walked out. He saw several people dressed as doctors and nurses fighting with the bodyguards.
Two of them fired at the remaining bodyguards. Sky's side suffered heavy losses, with only three men still able to move, including Sky. The enemy still had seven men, some of whom were armed with firearms.
Sky was protected by the remaining two men behind him, and the two men who were pointed at by two pistols slowly retreated with Sky.
