Traveling through Thailand

Chapter 169 Traveling Through Time and Space

Knowing that the lover she had chosen was extremely thin-skinned, she would only tease him to a certain extent and not to the point of getting him mad. After all, she had finally gotten him, so why would she give him the slightest hint of proposing a breakup after pissing him off?

With the shop on track and Tay in full charge, he's essentially hands-off. He's freed up more time each day to spend with Tay, which is why their relationship has blossomed.

Today, I was at home cleaning fresh chicken feet with my boyfriend who loves to tease me. But this is for our own consumption, not for sale.

Ding-ling-ling, the cell phone rang. Tu Cha put down his paw and picked up the phone to answer it. As soon as he answered it, he heard crying coming from the other end.

"Jom? What happened?"

Jom cried heartbrokenly: "I, I broke up. Wuuwuwu, Tu, he has another woman outside, and that woman is pregnant. Wuuwuwu..."

"Ah!!" The two people looked at each other in shock at the news.

Tay thought about the documents still at the bottom of the box: Has it been so long? Last time I investigated, the person wasn't pregnant yet, but now she's pregnant?

Oh, I must have been so happy with him lately that I forgot to tell Tu about it so he could warn Jom. But I never expected that guy to get her pregnant, bring her to her boyfriend, and beg for forgiveness, forcing a breakup. Tsk tsk, he's truly the worst of the worst.

Thinking of this, he carefully assessed Tucha's expression. He hoped this incident wouldn't cause any rift between them. If it did... Tay's eyes flashed with ruthlessness: "Then don't blame him for taking it out on someone else."

As Tu Cha heard the increasingly loud noises over there, he had a guess in his mind: "Are you on your way to the bar now?"

"Well, I feel so bad now. I want to drink."

Tu Cha frowned when he heard this, knowing that it would be dangerous for him to go to the bar alone in his current state. To prevent unnecessary trouble, he asked the name of the bar he was in.

"Where are you now? I'll come find you right away."

After getting the exact location, Tucha took off her apron and walked out. Tay followed her and said, "I'll go with you."

Tu Cha shook her head and refused: "It's okay, I can do it alone. Besides, there are still so many claws that haven't been deboned, you should stay at home and shave the bones, and then I will pickle them directly when I come back."

Tay looked reluctant upon hearing his reasoning, but she didn't want to go against his wishes. First, their relationship had just begun, and she didn't want to create a rift over such a small matter. Second, he didn't want to debone the meat anymore, so she could just ask a few of her subordinates to come help while he was gone. Sadly, both options were rejected.

Seeing his displeasure, Tucha blushed and kissed him on the cheek as a comfort before leaving. With the fiery gazes behind him, he took the elevator as if fleeing, his red cheeks still not completely fading even when he got on the number 00 car.

When he arrived at the bar, he saw the young man swaying wildly on the stage, especially the look in the eyes of the man next to him. He thought something was wrong and quickly walked over to put some distance between them. Then he grabbed his arm and shouted, "Jom brother?"

Hearing Tucha's shout, Jom carefully looked at the person standing in front of him. His tear glands, which he had been trying to control, felt sore and his eyes began to turn red.

"Tu."

"Yes, it's me." She took his arm and pulled him away from the man, took him to the bathroom, wet a tissue with cold water, and wiped his tearful cheeks.

Fortunately, the man was not arrogant. After seeing his favorite prey being taken away, he started looking for new prey.

"Why did you come here to drink alone? Don't you know it's dangerous to get drunk here? If I hadn't arrived in time, you might have ended up in a stranger's bed tonight." Tu Cha chattered a lot, not caring whether he could hear clearly or not. He just finished what he had to say before saying anything else.

Jom, who was listening to his scolding quietly, had no idea what he was saying. His entire mind was focused on the fact that his boyfriend had betrayed him.

After Tucha finished speaking, Jom covered his mouth and stumbled into the bathroom. Soon, he could hear the sound of vomiting. When Jom stumbled out of the bathroom, he was a little more sober after washing himself with cold water.

In case he didn't vomit completely, I took out the hangover medicine Tay gave me before leaving from my pocket and said, "Take it. I don't want you to vomit all over me on the road."

Jom quietly took it and swallowed it. After getting in the car, he leaned his head against the window, staring blankly outside. Tu Cha, who had been keeping an eye on him the entire time, didn't notice the car coming out from the right. By the time he noticed, it was already very close.

With a "splash", they and their car rushed into the river.

The moment they hit the water, the high-brand car transformed into a streak of light as Jom fell unconscious, darting between Tucha's eyebrows. In this critical moment, he wasn't in the mood to question the matter. With a few doggy paddles, he reached the unconscious Jom.

After grabbing the man and bringing him to the surface, he gulped down fresh air. He estimated the distance to the ground and, with great difficulty, pulled him to the surface. After a few first aid measures, he spit out the excess water and, exhausted, lay down on the other side to rest.

He closed his eyes to rest and recover his strength, thinking back to what happened when he fell into the water, and had a guess in his mind: "Is Zero Zero here?"

"Yes, host."

"Can you still appear as a car?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because there weren't such high-end cars back then."

"This era?" Hearing something else in the system's words, Tucha opened her eyes and looked around. There were no tall buildings around, and apart from the trees, there were no other structures. Could it be that I had traveled to ancient times?

"Yes, you fell into the time turbulence and came to 1920."

“1920??” This number would have been the end of the Qing Dynasty in China! ! Did it actually come to such a distant era?

"Yes."

Tucha was very uneasy. Looking at Jom who was about to wake up, she was anxious: "Wouldn't it be even more difficult for him and me to live in this era? Oh no, I just had a few days of good life. How can I return to the same state so quickly?"

"Hey, Zero Zero, can you take us back?"

"No, the system doesn't have enough energy to send you back."

Hearing he couldn't be sent back, Tucha grew even more anxious. Even though he wasn't a native of Country T, he'd known the country's era from his time in China, where the hierarchy was very strict. So for someone who just wanted to stay standing, staying here was a torture. So he had to find a way back.

"So when will I have enough energy?"

"I don't know."

System Zero Zero flashed twice in its own space, and finally threw a backpack in front of him.

Tu Cha was even more frightened when she saw the schoolbag that appeared out of nowhere, and her ominous premonition became even clearer.

"Why give me a backpack?"

"This is a gift from my 1230th host. This backpack can take out anything you want."

"Don't tell me you really intend to make us spend our whole lives in this era!!" This is what he fears most at the moment.

"will not."

Tu Cha was about to say something, but when she heard Jom's voice, her attention was drawn back to reality.

Jom opened his eyes and looked around, finding himself in the woods. Seeing Tucha slumped beside him, he couldn't help but ask, "Where have we been washed to?"

In order to avoid scaring anyone, Tu Cha shook his head to indicate that he didn't know either.

He fumbled around and realized his phone was not on him, so he asked, "Can you lend me your phone? I can call my sister and tell her not to worry."

Tucha silently handed the phone over. The moment he handed it over, he regretted it because System Zero Zero said, "Normally, your phone should be water-damaged and unusable. You just lent it to him. Aren't you afraid that he'll realize what's going on and ask why?"

But the phone had already been lent out, and the screen had been successfully turned on, so it was too late to regret.

Jom got the phone and quickly dialed the number, but the caller said it was out of service area. This was the reply several times in a row.

Jom was at a loss, his voice trembling: "How, how could this happen?"

Seeing him like this, Tu Cha was about to speak to comfort him when a warning voice came from behind: "Who are you? Why are you here?"

The two turned around and looked at the newcomers in the dim light of their phones. When the newcomers saw the glowing objects in their hands, they exclaimed in surprise, "You, are you gods or demons?"

After a series of lies filled with loopholes, I successfully appeased him. I took out snacks from my bag as hush money: "These are foods we bought in other countries. If you don't mind, I'll give them to you as an apology."

Ming and his mother exchanged a glance, then reached for the small bag and fumbled with it before successfully opening it. The moment they opened it, the unique flavor of the snacks washed over their taste buds.

“What a unique taste!!”

He pinched out a square of food and carefully touched the edge with his tongue. Just the slightest touch made his eyes light up: "It's a taste I've never tasted before."

After sighing, I took a bite and finished the whole bag in just a few bites. To prevent waste, I also licked the remaining seasoning in the bag.

Jom looked at the bags of snacks on the ground with a puzzled look. When their eyes met, Tu Cha gave him a smile.

"If you like, these are all available to you."

Ming's eyes widened in surprise: "Really?"

Tucha nodded: "Yes. But can we stay here tonight? After all, it's pitch black outside now."

"no problem."

With the housing issue resolved, Jom's frayed nerves relaxed. With this relaxation, the remaining alcohol in his brain washed over him. Tucha, noticing his current state, let him go and rest. He then chose the tree outside and climbed up in no time.

Tucha sat on a tree branch and looked up at the dark night of over a hundred years ago. Her thoughts went back to her boyfriend who was still waiting for her at home.

"Zero Zero, is there really no way to go back quickly?" He asked about this matter again without giving up, but unfortunately the answer he got was still the same.

"Without a host, this system is also looking for ways to quickly collect energy." The system also wants its host to go back quickly. After all, it doesn't want the host to stay in this era where life is as cheap as grass.

Thinking about surviving here, and the recent turmoil, he thought, with his own limited strength and intellect... the thought of surviving here was the beginning of his collapse. He turned his gaze to the sleeping Jom and sighed inwardly. As a native, he should be able to adapt better here than he was.

At this moment, he thought how great it would be if he was a native of the local area, so that his ability to accept things would be much better.

Zero Zero also sensed the host's depression, but he couldn't bear to open the backdoor. "Don't worry, host. I've set up an identity for you. If anyone checks, they'll only find out that you're returning to China. Your identity information is that you're a returnee."

"Oh, thank you so much." Tu Cha's tone was flat, and he was not happy that his identity information had been resolved.

"Host is still unhappy?"

"Of course, arriving in an unfamiliar country means that your words and actions will be very important. If you make a mistake, you might even offend the locals. And the hierarchy here is so strict. If you run into danger, you'll be left with nothing to turn to. How can I be happy?"
