The cold wind blew by, bringing waves of biting chill, and the pile of fish looked particularly strange in the wind and snow.

"Captain, how do you think these things appeared?" a team member asked in a low voice, with an undisguised nervousness in his voice.

The captain frowned and didn't answer immediately.

He looked at the huge machine and the pile of frozen fish, and a sense of unease rose in his heart.

He recalled the last time a container appeared out of nowhere.

That time, they could barely explain it by saying that the waves washed the sunken containers ashore.

But this time it was completely different.

The ice is so thick that even the boats can't move, so how could the waves possibly wash these huge machines and frozen fish ashore?

"These definitely didn't appear naturally," the captain whispered, a hint of solemnity in his tone. "Whether they're machines or frozen fish, their appearance is too bizarre."

Upon hearing this, the team members' expressions became even more serious.

Another team member's expression changed slightly, and he asked tentatively, "Could it be... someone put it here on purpose?"

The captain didn't answer, his eyes still fixed on the mechanical device.

His brows were furrowed, as if he were lost in thought. After a long pause, he slowly spoke, "If someone could truly accomplish such a thing, their methods are far beyond our comprehension."

Is there someone helping them secretly?

What tools are used?

Where is the person hiding?

And if it wasn't human, it would be even more terrifying...

The patrol captain was a veteran, but when he led his team members to point their submachine guns at the quiet ice sea, a cold sweat broke out on his back.

After receiving the emergency report, Captain Chen immediately summoned experts, engineers and navy on the mother ship and rushed to the scene at full speed.

After the expert group arrived, they used the high-precision scanning equipment they brought with them to conduct a detailed survey and partial non-destructive disassembly and analysis of the giant structure.

It was finally confirmed that these were two giant machines with different functions.

One is a ground-leveling machine equipped with a high-strength alloy drill bit, a crushing arm and a sediment removal system. It is similar to an ultra-large deep-sea mining vehicle or seabed construction machinery, but its scale and power far exceed existing technology.

The other is a main frame construction machine with a multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arm and welding device.

Inside the core power compartment of the machine, experts found more than a dozen neatly arranged black composite plates about half a meter square.

These plates have smooth surfaces and standardized joints on the edges.

"This...this can't be a regular battery!" an old expert exclaimed in shock.

He carefully observed the plate's interface design and material composition. There were no heat dissipation holes, no obvious traces of chemical fuel, and no signs of high-voltage wires...

This was a type of energy block he had never seen before.

Another expert, using a portable spectrometer and X-ray diffractometer, quickly analyzed the material, his brow furrowed. "The outer layer is a high-strength carbon fiber composite material, and the internal structure is exceptionally dense... We detected trace amounts of rare elements, but... this doesn't resemble any chemical battery or fuel cell system we know of..."

Another expert chimed in, his tone filled with incredible excitement: "Even the most advanced RTGs in the apocalypse can't be compressed to this level of volume and weight, nor can they achieve such a high energy density. Could this be a new type of energy?"

Experts surrounded these black plates and scanned and detected them repeatedly with various instruments, but they were at a loss.

Captain Chen was watching from the side. As a soldier, he didn't quite understand the experts' concern, so he asked directly, "Can we use this machine normally?"

"Sure!" One of the younger experts looked up from the core power compartment of the machine, his face filled with uncontrollable excitement. "We currently don't know how long this black energy block can drive the machine to work, but it should be no problem to build the air fortress on the island!"

Captain Chen breathed a sigh of relief: "Very good!"

Adjutant Yun hesitated for a long time before whispering to Captain Chen, "Captain, the sudden appearance of these giant machines and fish is truly terrifying!"

Captain Chen asked, "Have the people who went to check the surroundings returned? What did they say?"

Adjutant Yun shook his head. "We're back, but the snowfall here has reached dozens of centimeters in just half a day. We can't find any relevant traces at all! Whether these were placed here by humans or natural forces, we can't find them."
