Chapter 392: Saving the Prophet (2)
After dealing with the red ogre that was affecting his battle, Chief Qiu turned his attention back to his original opponent.
When Chief Qiu saw this, the white minotaur ran away without even looking back.
Just as the enemy chief was hesitating whether to chase his original prey, the Minotaur had already run to the gate of the Dark Lord's castle.
"Go away!"
A red figure ran out of the castle gate, holding a young, sleeping girl. Perhaps believing the Minotaur was blocking their escape route, Algerta kicked it in the brain. Then, she flipped over the now-deceased Minotaur and ran towards the enemy chief.
"Everyone, the prophet has been rescued!"
The enemy chief put aside his helplessness about having his head robbed and flew behind Aljeta on his sword, ready to help her resist the pursuers from behind.
"Put down the prophet!"
Bethcode was fighting fiercely with Gerald in the sky. When he heard Aljeta's voice, he was distracted for a moment and saw the scene that made him explode.
When Bethcode remembered his goal and the bottom line he had already reached, he no longer held back.
Bethcode, who transformed into a black dragon, forcibly swallowed the dragon claw attack of the golden dragon Geralt, turned around and breathed out a dragon breath, and sprayed it directly towards the battlefield below.
"Don't try to succeed!"
With a powerful claw, Geraint knocked Bethcode's dragon head crooked.
Driven by rage, Bethcode took a heavy blow from Geraint, and the dragon's breath went towards Geraint's head.
Bethcode's transformation made Geraint realize that if he didn't deal with his old friend, humanity would suffer a heavy blow. Perhaps the scene of fifty years ago would repeat itself.
Back then, due to a moment of hesitation, the severely wounded Black Dragon vented his wrath on the common soldiers. With a single blast of dragon breath, the Black Dragon annihilated the vast majority of humanity. Only a few teammates protected by Gerald, the future six heroes, and Algerta remained.
Feeling the dragon's breath burning his only remaining eye, the black dragon's unique energy made this eye become the same as the previous broken eye, which was not something Gerald could recover on his own.
Energy poured into Geraint's upper dragon claws. With golden light and lightning, Geraint pierced through one of Bethcode's giant dragon wings with one claw. Geraint exerted all his strength, and the dragon wing was torn apart and fell towards a certain mountain peak.
Then, the dragon's tail, which had the strongest attack power, directly hit half of Bethcode's dragon body.
One suffered a severe head injury, the other a severe torso injury. The two giant dragons fell powerlessly from the sky to the ground.
Perhaps because he was afraid that his dragon body would hurt humans, when Gerald was about to land, he changed back into a human body, leaving only four small wings to prove his original identity.
"Gerraint!"
Aljeta exerted her strength and threw the prophet directly towards the enemy chief. She leaped up and caught the falling Geraint in mid-air.
"Gerald, why would you go to such lengths for humanity!"
"Algerta, take me and the prophet to the basement of the royal city."
"That's the nearest safe place I know of (Bethcode once told me about it)."
"When the time comes, I will build a lair and protect the prophet inside."
In response to Aljeta's complaints, Gerald arranged the next steps on his own.
"Gerraint, this prophet is not a human being after all."
"My brother, you have given so much to humanity."
"In my opinion, you might as well eat the prophet in one gulp. This will not only heal your injuries, but also possibly restore you to a certain level of strength you once possessed."
"Lord Aljeta, please think twice!"
At Algerta's shocking words, Geraint gave a wry smile, but he couldn't hold on any longer and fainted. Angelica, who was standing by, hurriedly tried to persuade him.
Because the backbone of the enemy army, the black dragon Bethcode, never returned to the sky, the enemy army fled directly.
"Brother Qiuqiu, go look around and see where the Black Dragon is."
"I feel... something is wrong. Bethcode is definitely not dead."
Angelica initially thought she'd find the black dragon alive or dead, believing its reappearance would undoubtedly cause chaos in the Sacred Heaven. But then she remembered that in Comerina's future world, Bethcode was still alive and well. It was obvious that this battle between the two dragons would most likely result in both of them being severely injured.
Angelica had originally thought of using the black dragon's corpse to calm the impending panic, but when she came to her senses, she had no choice but to give up.
"I'll go look around."
"Bethcode should be seriously injured, but he's not in great danger."
"Take this prophet with you."
As Chief Qiu replied to Angelica, he smiled wryly and handed the girl in his arms to Angelica. For some unknown reason, the prophet remained in a coma.
Afterwards, Chief Qiu turned into a sword light and went to the sky to observe Bescod's whereabouts.
"It's hard to imagine that Bethcode and Geraint, two of the six heroes, are actually dragons."
"So it's only natural that they are so young."
"Although, in the human history I have come into contact with, dragons have always been synonymous with evil."
"But Lord Geraint's every move makes it hard to believe he could be evil."
After arranging the general direction of the battlefield, Douglas also arrived nearby. As soon as he spoke, Douglas explained the changes that had occurred, but he had not yet fully adapted to the Dragon View. Due to his strength, even though Douglas was not there just now, he had heard the previous conversation clearly.
"Everyone, allow me to arrange the army's subsequent actions."
"Wait, I will go with you all to complete what Lord Gerald mentioned at the end."
"With my cooperation, Lord Gerald will have a chance to enter the underground of the royal city."
"Otherwise, the guards of Holy Heaven are not useless people who only eat and do nothing."
Douglas knew that his joining might cause discomfort, so he had to explain a few words first.
Elsewhere, Qiu Chief flew several circles in the sky. Perhaps due to Bethcode's defeat, the barrier surrounding his lair had vanished. Otherwise, Qiu Chief would have felt like he was about to crash into the barrier again, just like he had in the lower reaches of the river.
By then, Qiu Qiu felt that he might unlock some strange achievements.
Without seeing the conspicuous black dragon's body, Chief Qiu knew that Bescod had most likely regained his human form and had run to that corner to hide.
At this point, Chief Qiu gave up looking for Bescod and focused his energy on another aspect.
Qiu remembered that Bethcode had lost one of his wings to Geraint. Judging by the size of that wing, Qiu felt he could use it to make a set of top-notch equipment for his team.
As for the Black Dragon, Qiu Qiu remembered that when he was able to fight in a dungeon for the first time in the game, his character level seemed to have reached 70.
Now, the equipment's attributes might be compressed due to level factors, but it would still be much stronger than the armor set made by Ong Mamba. Coincidentally, the entire team had reached level 32.
"It's time to make better preparations!"
With the tempting idea in mind, Chief Qiu has been trying hard to find the black dragon wings.
