Once outside, Qiu Qiu followed the route he remembered and ran back towards the village entrance. Perhaps it was the two additional points in physical fitness gained after his job change, but Qiu Qiu felt his movement speed, stamina, and strength had significantly improved. Even his resistance to cold should have increased. If he were still wearing his old clothes, Qiu Qiu wouldn't feel as cold as he did yesterday.

The two of them didn't walk long before they arrived at the village gate. Perhaps because it was midday, villagers were everywhere on the road, and quite a few people had gathered at the village entrance. Seeing this, Qiu and Charlotte couldn't help but slow down their pace.

After slowing down, Qiu Chief couldn't help but survey his surroundings. What first caught his attention were two girls a short distance to his left. One looked about Etia's age, with short aqua-blue hair and a blue mage's robe. The other, about Charlotte's age, had long pink hair and a rather plain mage's robe. The two were conversing quietly, but the girl with the long pink hair looked a little distressed, clearly not at all friendly to her.

"Well, sister. Let's move aside a little."

Looking at the two magical girls, Qiu Qiu couldn't help but recall the events of the morning. Now at the village gate, Qiu Qiu felt as if he were being blocked. Fortunately, the two girls were so engrossed in their conversation that they seemed oblivious to the people passing by. Qiu Qiu's anxiety, which had just risen in his chest, suddenly subsided. But just to be safe, he still spoke to Charlotte beside him.

After briefly avoiding the two magical girls, Qiu and Charlotte arrived at the village gate. Qiu immediately spotted the priest hiding behind the gateposts. They were none other than Jonard and Condy, whom he had met when he entered the village last night.

"No wonder we couldn't see him at first last night. He was hiding behind the gatepost to avoid the wind. But it's been half the day now, I wonder if anyone has changed shifts."

Looking at the two pastors, Chief Qiu couldn't help but think of what happened last night.

Perhaps because they had met yesterday, the two priests did not stop Chief Qiu and Charlotte when they left the village.

After leaving the gate, Qiu Chief couldn't help but look around, trying to see if he could find Kai, whom he had arranged to meet. However, there were several people walking on the road, and there were more people going down the slope. Qiu Chief, who had never met Kai before, scratched his head in annoyance.

"Brother Qiuqiu, just follow me. You haven't seen Kai, so I'll look for him in the front."

At this moment, Charlotte spoke directly to relieve Qiu's annoyance. Afterward, Charlotte took the lead, with Qiu following closely behind. The two of them trotted down the path, and Charlotte never pointed out to Qiu who Kai was. Clearly, Kai was either hiding well or hiding far away.

A short while later, Charlotte and Qiu Qiu trotted down the snowy slope all the way to the end. Finally, at the end of the slope, Charlotte spotted Kai, whom she had been looking for. He was beneath a tree not far from the road, and there was no one within a certain distance.

"Brother Qiuqiu, over there."

Charlotte reminded Chief Qiu and then approached Kai.

At this point, Qiu finally got a closer look at the person he was meeting. He took a closer look and saw a young boy wearing a gray hat, short lavender hair, and a cyan scarf. He looked about the same age as Charlotte.

"Charlotte, why did you bring outsiders here?"

At the same time that Charlotte spotted Kai, Kai had apparently spotted Charlotte before her. When Kai realized Charlotte wasn't alone and had brought a stranger with her, he became wary and questioned Charlotte with a hint of dissatisfaction.

"Huh? Brother Qiuqiu is not an outsider."

Charlotte asked doubtfully, then changed the subject and asked Kai a question.

"This Bluebird seems to be something that the weird uncle gave to our Brotherhood of Steel. Kai, even though you grew up with me, you don't seem to be qualified to use it. You haven't even joined the Brotherhood of Steel."

"Strange, why did my father give this thing to you."

"Oh, by the way, that weird uncle is Lord Barna, one of the six heroes, and the founder of the Brotherhood of Steel."

Although Charlotte was questioning Kai, she clearly revealed a lot of important information at once. After hearing Charlotte's words, Qiu Chief didn't know whether he was saying Charlotte was simple-minded or whether he was saying that Charlotte regarded herself and Kai as very important people and therefore did not hide anything.

"Charlotte, don't change the subject."

Kai, sensing Charlotte might be trying to change the subject, suddenly felt a little irritated and whispered something involuntarily. Then, thinking about how much Charlotte had already revealed, Kai couldn't help but speak out.

"Forget it, there's nothing to hide."

"I guessed about Lord Barna a few years ago. You didn't just find out recently, did you?"

Having said this, Kai couldn't help but look at Charlotte with a look that looked like an idiot.

"Charlotte, I'm not like you. I'm carefree all day long. I either exercise or play with my sister Etia."

"You know, I've been working under Lord Ra's since I was a child, and he's been very kind to me. He hasn't concealed much about the Brotherhood of Steel. Not long ago, Lord Ra's formally invited me to join the Brotherhood of Steel, making me a member."

"So, Charlotte, your father, a high-ranking member of the Brotherhood of Steel, gave me this Bluebird. And when he gave me the Bluebird, he also gave me a mission: to follow you all the way and provide whatever assistance I can at critical moments."

"Also, this mission was given to me by your father shortly after you set out."

Kai explained Charlotte's question in one breath. He then glanced at Chief Qiu and continued unhappily.

"Okay, now you can introduce this big brother to me."

"Listen, Brother Qiuqiu? This is the same name as the cactus you raise. Are you giving someone a random nickname again?"

Kai inadvertently stabbed the enemy chief in the back of his mouth. However, Kai had carefully examined the enemy chief. Aside from the thick eyebrows and large eyes, he didn't see any resemblance to Charlotte's cactus, which had given Charlotte such a nickname. Perhaps it was because he was just like the cactus in the desert, ordinary and ubiquitous.

"Brother Qiuqiu is Brother Qiuqiu, who gave him a random nickname?"

After hearing this, Charlotte couldn't help but complain to Kai.

Qiu Chief looked at the two people talking in silence. "Are they childhood sweethearts?" he asked. As for Charlotte calling him Qiuqiu, he had already known from his previous conversation with Etia that she used his name as if it were a cactus. But Kai immediately confirmed the origin of Charlotte's name.

"Alright, sister. If you keep talking, you'll forget important things later."

However, Chief Qiu, who didn't want to be teased anymore, reminded him directly.

"Hello Kai, my name is Qiu Qiu. I'm Charlotte and Etia's older brother."

Chief Qiu couldn't help but formally introduce his name to Kai, and at the same time, he began to habitually show his name on the character panel like the people here.

"Oh, by the way, I was acknowledged as your 'brother' by Etia himself yesterday."

Qiu recalled that Kai and Charlotte were childhood sweethearts, and he must have known that Charlotte and Etia didn't have any so-called brothers. Qiu couldn't help but add that, perhaps due to the previous situation, Qiu couldn't help but emphasize the words "brother" and "brother" in person.
