"What are you doing?" Professor Lupin looked at the two of them.

"We're going to the Owlery, Professor," said Harry.

"Would you like to come in and sit down? I just received a grindylow for my next class."

"A what?" Harry walked towards the office.

"Then..." Su Xingchen hesitated, "I'll go back first?"

She knew that Harry was going to learn the Patronus Charm from Lupin. This was a crucial matter this year, and it was related to whether he could save his own life and Sirius Black's life.

Although she herself wanted to learn the spell, Lupin taught Harry because he was the son of his good friends James and Lily. Although Harry didn't know it now, the two of them actually had a very close relationship.

Su Xingchen had already made up her mind to wait until Harry had learned it before letting him teach her, provided that her presence did not disturb the communication and relationship between the two.

"You must be joking." Professor Lupin walked out with a smile, "Come in, Xingchen."

"Okay." You asked me to come in.

This is an ordinary teacher's office, except for a large water tank standing in the corner.

In the water tank, a disgusting green monster with pointed horns pressed its face against the glass, bared its green teeth at the people who walked in, made all kinds of weird expressions, and its long, thin fingers scratched on the glass, making a sound that made people's hair stand on end.

Su Xingchen immediately closed her eyes and hid behind Harry. She shouldn't have come in. She should have gone back to sleep. What was the difference between this and the water ghost she imagined?

"Haha." Professor Lupin, who was following behind, laughed and patted her shoulder. "Don't be afraid, it's a water monster. It's already hidden."

Hearing this, Su Xingchen quietly opened one eye a little, and saw only a pile of tangled water plants in the large water tank.

Lupin and Harry both looked at her and laughed, which was rather embarrassing.

"It's not difficult to deal with it. The trick is to break free of its hand. Did you notice? Its fingers are incredibly long and strong, but brittle and easily broken." Lupin said as he looked around for his teapot. "Have a cup of tea. I was just about to make some."

Su Xingchen frowned and didn't dare to look at the water tank again.

Crunchy and breakable? Just like a seaweed egg roll, it can't hide the fact that it's bizarrely ugly. I'm going to have nightmares tonight.

Lupin opened a dusty jar. "I'm afraid I only have tea bags. But I suppose you've had enough of tea, Harry?" he said with a gleam of humor in his eye.

"How did you know?" Harry asked curiously.

"Professor McGonagall told me," Lupin said, handing him a teacup. "You're not worried, are you?"

"Yes, Professor."

Su Xingchen held the teacup and listened to the two people chatting. This was what she was best at.

Listen to Harry ask Lupin why he won't let him deal with the Boggart, and listen to Lupin's less than convincing explanation.

But Harry obviously believed it. Lupin mentioned Voldemort's name, which he had only heard from Headmaster Dumbledore. No one dared to say it out loud.

As if noticing Su Xingchen's somewhat nonchalant expression, Lupin asked, "By the way, Xingchen, can you tell me what's in that pot?"

"Cough! Cough!" Su Xingchen was choked by the tea that almost spit out, and she kept coughing. Her whole face turned red, and Harry was so scared that he quickly put down the cup to help her breathe.

When she caught her breath, she accidentally caught a glimpse of the cunning in Professor Lupin's eyes and knew that he did it on purpose. It's not good for a professor like you to gossip about your students, right?

"That...that's a secret, I can't tell you." Su Xingchen said.

Just as he finished speaking, he heard Harry laugh, so he couldn't help but elbow him lightly.

Lupin seemed not to notice the little action of the two people. "That's a pity."

Ha ha.

"Knock knock." Someone knocked on the door.

A moment later, Professor Snape arrived, carrying a slightly smoking goblet.

Seeing Harry and Su Xingchen inside, he stopped and his black eyes narrowed.

"I'm inviting Harry and Xingchen to see the Grindylows, Severus." Professor Lupin pointed happily at the water tank in the room.

"How interesting." Professor Snape said expressionlessly, without even looking at the two of them. "You should drink it right away."

"Okay, okay, I'll drink it." Lupin agreed, but he didn't look like he wanted to drink it.

"I made a full pot," Professor Snape continued, "in case you need more."

"Thank you very much, Severus."

"You're welcome," Professor Snape said, and left the room as if there was some virus in it.

Su Xingchen looked at the strange cup, guessing it might be the potion that would prevent Lupin from turning into a werewolf. Harry also looked at the cup curiously.

Lupin smiled. "Professor Snape was kind enough to brew a potion for me. I'm not very good at making medicine, and this is a particularly complicated one." He picked up the wine glass and sniffed it. "What a shame, adding sugar makes it ineffective."

After saying that, he took a sip and shuddered.

"Why?" Harry wanted to know.

"I've been feeling a little unwell." Lupin looked at Harry. "This is the only medicine that works. I'm so lucky to be able to work with Professor Snape. There aren't many wizards who can brew this potion."

"Professor Snape has always been interested in the Dark Arts. Some people think..." Harry hesitated, then continued desperately, "that he would do anything to get the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher."

Ouch, Su Xingchen was speechless and couldn't even pull it.

Lupin frowned and drank the potion in one breath, his face suddenly looking bitter.

"It's awful." He didn't answer Harry's question. "Well, I should get back to work. See you at the dinner."

The two men put down their teacups and left. Harry glanced at the tall glass Snape had brought in. The empty cup was still smoking.

After leaving the office, he was still thinking about what had just happened.

Su Xingchen couldn't stand it any longer and decided to give him some sugar-roasted chestnuts.

"Ouch!" Harry covered his head. "Stars?"

"Why did you say that? I already stopped you, but you kept going."

Harry did feel someone pulling his sleeve at that time, and he thought Su Xingchen was unhappy because he had said something bad about a professor.

"I feel……"

"Do you think Professor Snape would poison a potion?" Su Xingchen looked at him as if he were a fool. "Does he look so stupid that he would blatantly poison another professor in Hogwarts?"

Harry touched the place where he was hit and it really hurt.

He really thought so at the time, so he was desperate to remind Lupin. After all, he quite liked the professor.

Su Xingchen knew what he was thinking as soon as he saw his expression, and immediately wanted to hit him again as if he was disappointed in his friend.

Seeing this, Harry immediately covered his head with his hands, and Su Xingchen put his hand down angrily.
