HP Star Shining
Chapter 62
Su Xingchen seemed to guess what Hermione was thinking from her expression and took her arm affectionately. "Okay, it's not what you think. I have a special reason."
Hermione was visibly relieved, as long as it wasn't what she thought.
Su Xingchen glanced at the shadows of the trees outside the train window and lowered his eyes.
Not quite like that, but almost.
But in an instant she was enthusiastic again and asked Hermione and Ron to come back and tell him if they saw anything interesting in Hogsmeade.
Harry, who had been observing her, keenly caught Su Xingchen's fleeting loneliness, which made him feel a sense of sympathy and the idea that the two of them might be able to depend on each other.
But when he saw Su Xingchen's beautiful smile, he felt that everything was just his illusion.
The view outside the window became increasingly desolate, and as the clouds in the sky thickened, the sky darkened.
The drizzle fell, and the rolling hills outside the window began to become blurred.
There was a sound of footsteps in the corridor, and then someone opened the compartment door. It was the person Harry, Ron and Hermione disliked the most.
"Xingchen." Draco took two steps into the compartment, but because Su Xingchen was sitting at the innermost seat by the window, he could only stop in front of Weasley, whom he hated.
"Would you like to sit in our cubicle for a while? I have a lot of interesting things to tell you recently. You will definitely like to hear them."
Does it sound good? Su Xingchen was a little tempted, mainly because she knew that this compartment would be the focus of the Dementors' attention because of Harry.
She'd been getting nervous since it got dark. After all, she was afraid of even ordinary ghosts. So, were Dementors the equivalent of a ghost? A ghost king? And yet, she had to pretend nothing was amiss.
"She won't go to your side, Malfoy." As if he could see what she was thinking, Ron refused loudly.
Su Xingchen smiled and nodded subtly, agreeing. She didn't want to offend Ron all the time, but for the same reason. But she was actually crying in her heart: No, I want to go.
"Look who this is?" Draco took two steps back and leaned against the compartment door. His usual lazy voice seemed to carry a hint of annoyance and disdain. "I heard your father finally got some gold this summer?"
Ron jumped to his feet, knocking over the basket containing Crookshanks.
Su Xingchen almost wanted to bang her head against the wall. She was making a scene again, about to make a scene again! Someone please save her.
Professor Lupin opposite hummed, like mumbling in a dream.
Only then did Draco notice the unsuspecting adult in the cubicle. "Who is he?"
"New teacher," Harry said, standing up as well, so he could grab Ron if necessary.
Su Xingchen thought Harry stood up to help Ron fight, and quickly said to Draco: "I'm a little tired today, tell me next time."
Draco's blue-grey eyes narrowed. He was not a fool and would not cause trouble under the nose of a professor.
His expression softened and he said to Su Xingchen, "Okay, next time then."
The Slytherin trio left, and Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief. Life was really hard.
Ron and Harry sat down again, Ron rubbing his knuckles, looking furious. "I'm not going to put up with Malfoy again this term, and I mean what I say..."
Su Xingchen quickly turned her head to the window. If she looked at Ron at this moment, he would nag her again.
Her ideas of easing their relationship seemed to be of no use, so she didn't plan to continue, so let it be.
Su Xingchen thought she had always been cautious enough and had no idea of being arrogant and "pointing fingers at others". However, deep down in her heart, she sometimes couldn't help but put herself in the role of "God". She had realized this.
Now she had a feeling that she was becoming more and more like a lamb to be slaughtered in the Shura Field, as if there was a knife on both the Gryffindor and Slytherin sides that could fall and kill her at any time.
But both sides were nice to her, and she didn't want to take sides or fall out with any of her friends.
It's really sad.
As the train continued to rush north, the rain grew heavier and heavier, turning the windows a watery gray.
In the compartment, Ron and Hermione had a small dispute because Ron knocked over the basket containing Crookshanks, and he ran out and stared at Ron's bulging chest with his yellow-orange eyes.
If you look closely, you can see that the pocket on his chest seems to be trembling.
Crookshanks jumped onto Ron's knees, and Ron pushed him off, "Get away!"
"Ron, come on!" Hermione said angrily.
Ron was about to reply when Professor Lupin suddenly moved. The three looked at him worriedly, but he just turned his head and continued to sleep soundly.
Anyway, the compartment finally quieted down.
Su Xingchen was immersed in her self-reflection and tangled thoughts and ignored the fact that Ron and Hermione were always quarreling like this.
Until the train stopped with a "crunch", the sound of luggage falling was heard in the distance.
"Why did the car stop? We haven't reached Hogwarts yet." Hermione looked at her watch.
Harry was closest to the door. He stood up and looked towards the aisle. Throughout the carriage, countless heads were curiously poking out from the compartments.
For no apparent reason, all the lights suddenly went out, and the entire carriage was plunged into endless darkness. Su Xingchen came to her senses, and she almost forgot about it.
"What's going on?" Ron's voice sounded behind Harry, and he seemed to stand up.
"Ron, you stepped on my foot!" Hermione's exclamation was more prominent.
Harry groped his way back to his seat and saw the dark blur of Ron, who seemed to be wiping the fog off the window.
"Is the car broken down?"
"I don't know, there's something outside, it looks like someone is getting on the bus."
The door of the compartment was suddenly opened and Su Xingchen shuddered all over.
"I'm sorry, do you know what happened? Ouch!" Someone tripped over Harry's feet and fell to the ground in pain.
Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief. It was Neville's voice.
"Hello, Neville." Harry groped in the dark and pulled Neville up by his robes.
"Harry, is that you? What happened?"
"I don't know. Sit down."
With a hissing sound and a horrible scream, Neville seemed to sit on Crookshanks.
"I'll go ask the driver what's going on."
It was Hermione's voice.
Su Xingchen wanted to hold her back and tell her not to go, but his hand grabbed nothing.
Harry felt Hermione pass in front of him, the sliding door opened, and then there was a loud bang and two more screams of pain.
"who is it?"
"who is it?"
"Hermione?"
"Ginny?"
"What are you doing?"
"I'm looking for Ron."
"Come in and sit down." Hermione pulled Ginny into the compartment.
"Don't sit here!" said Harry quickly. "I'm sitting here."
Su Xingchen was about to burst into tears. It was too scary.
