HP Star Shining
Chapter 59
Harry began to feel a strange freedom that he had never experienced before.
He never tried to get up when he wanted, eat what he wanted, or even go wherever he wanted, as long as he didn't leave Diagon Alley.
The long cobblestone road was dotted with all sorts of tempting wizarding shops, so he had no intention of breaking his agreement with Fudge.
Every day after breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron, he would go shopping in the various shops in Diagon Alley. During lunch, he would chat with other customers in the cafe and show each other what they had bought.
He would finish his paper in the ice cream shop in the afternoon, no longer having to hide under a blanket with a flashlight.
Florin Fusco, the ice cream shop owner, knows a lot about the medieval witch burnings and gives him free ice cream.
Su Xingchen would visit him about once every three or four days, sometimes longer, because she didn't like using Floo powder to travel.
Days like this are truly wonderful.
On the last day of summer vacation, Harry woke up early because he had an appointment with his friends today.
When he came down the stairs, Hermione and Ron were already there.
They saw him waving furiously, Ron's freckles still visible, Hermione's tan.
"It's great to see you," Ron said with a grin.
Harry looked around, "Hasn't the star come yet?"
Hermione shrugged, "She insisted on having breakfast at home before coming over."
Su Xingchen, who was eating at home, said that everyone had agreed to stay at the Leaky Cauldron tonight and go to King's Cross Station together tomorrow. This meant that this would most likely be the last delicious meal before the next summer vacation, so how could they not eat more?
"Harry, did you really blow your aunt up?" Hermione looked at Harry seriously. He was looking at the newspaper Ron gave him with great interest. The newspaper published the photos they took when they won the prize and went to Egypt.
There was breakfast on the table in front of them, but no one's attention was focused on it.
"I didn't mean to." Harry folded the newspaper and handed it back to Ron. "I just couldn't control myself for a moment." Ron laughed at the side.
"That's not a laughing matter, Ron," said Hermione sternly. "To be honest, I'm surprised you haven't been expelled."
"I'm puzzled too," Harry admitted. "At first, I even thought I was going to be arrested." He looked at Ron. "I don't think your father knows why Fudge let me go, does he?"
"Perhaps it was because of you that the famous Harry Potter was imprisoned in Azkaban?" Ron shrugged, still smiling. "I can't imagine what the Ministry of Magic would do to me if I inflated an aunt. But first they'd have to dig me out of the ground, because my mother would have killed me before that."
Harry nodded. Ron and Xingchen had said much the same thing.
When Su Xingchen arrived, the three friends were chatting animatedly, and Ron was showing everyone his new wand.
"Sorry, am I too late?" Su Xingchen replied. He accidentally ate too much and took a while to relax before going out.
She sat down next to Hermione, gave her a hug, and gave her and Ron a small Scottish gift. She then looked at Ron's newspaper and his new wand.
"What are those things, Hermione?" Su Xingchen pointed to three bulging bags next to Hermione's chair.
"Oh, I have more elective courses than you, don't I?" Hermione glanced at her and said as if she didn't care much.
I told you not to talk too much. Su Xingchen now wants to go to the opposite side. Is it too late to sit with Harry and Ron now?
"Those are my textbooks: Ancient Runes, Divination, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies..."
"Why are you studying Muggle Studies?" Ron rolled his eyes at Harry. "You're Muggle-born! Your parents are both Muggles. I bet you know everything about Muggle things."
Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief and thanked Ron for his timely help.
"But it must be interesting to study them from a wizard's perspective." Hermione looked very interested.
"Are you planning to eat and sleep this year?" Harry laughed, Su Xingchen nodded, and Ron laughed with his teeth bared.
Hermione ignored them.
She rummaged through her purse. "I still have ten gold Galleons. My birthday is in September, and my parents gave me some money to buy me a birthday present in advance."
"How about buying a good book?" Ron suggested in a hypocritical manner.
"I don't want to buy a book, I want to buy an owl. Harry has Hedwig, and you have Errol..."
Su Xingchen was puzzled. Errol? She suddenly remembered that Errol was Ron's little owl who was always lost.
"Errol is the family owl. I only have Scabbers," Ron said, pulling his pet mouse from his pocket. "I want to take him in for a checkup. He seems to be having trouble acclimatizing in Egypt."
Banban looked thinner than before, and his beard was drooping.
Su Xingchen instinctively moved her butt back. She used to be able to ignore it, but now she would unconsciously feel disgusted. Fortunately, Ron knew that she was always afraid of these things and did not put it on the table.
Otherwise, she was afraid that she would not be able to control herself. People like Peter Pettigrew...
"Let's go to the Magical Creatures Shop." Harry was now very familiar with the shops in Diagon Alley. "You take Scabbers there to see if they have any solutions. Hermione can also go and choose an owl."
The four of them came to the Magical Beasts Shop in Diagon Alley.
The store is very small, and the walls are covered with densely packed cages, which makes people feel claustrophobic.
The air had the inherent stench of a pet shop, and it was noisy because the animals in their cages were making a loud noise of squeaking, chirping, and hissing horrors.
Su Xingchen's heart trembled, the hissing sound reminded her of a basilisk.
Hermione and Harry examined the cages carefully. Ron was holding Scabbers and talking to the clerk at the counter. In a huge cage on the counter, sleek black rats were playing games with their bare tails.
Su Xingchen, who originally wanted to stand next to the counter, gave up the idea. She had no choice but to follow Harry and Hermione's example and look at the animals in the cages.
Two giant purple toads devoured dead blowflies, their saliva dripping. A poisonous orange snail crawled slowly along the glass wall. A terrifyingly large turtle, its shell a rainbow of colors, shone like a gem.
OMG, this store is scary.
