HP Star Shining
Chapter 56
Harry Potter was an unusual boy in many ways.
For example, he hates summer vacation the most during the year.
For example, he actually likes doing homework, but he has to complete it secretly in the middle of the night.
Also, he's a wizard.
It was midnight and Harry was sitting in the middle of his bed, with the blanket pulled over his head like a small tent.
He moved his hand over a copy of "A History of Magic" with a flashlight in one hand and a quill in the other, frowning as he searched for something that might help him with his paper.
The paper is titled: "The practice of burning witches in the 14th century was complete nonsense."
Harry kept pausing as he wrote to listen. If the Dursleys heard the scratching of his quill when they got up to go to the bathroom, he would probably have to spend the entire summer vacation in the closet under the stairs.
The Dursleys of number 4 Privet Drive, Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and their son Dudley, are his only relatives in the world.
They were Muggles, and their attitude towards magic was like that of people in the fourteenth century.
On the first day Harry came home for the summer holidays, they would lock up his spellbooks, cauldron, and broomstick.
Fortunately, his wand was taken away by his good friend Su Xingchen on the day he returned home and left at her house.
They are neighbors.
Oh, and she's a wizard too.
Harry sighed. Although Xingchen had given him a key to her house when she left so that he could get his wand, the Dursleys kept a closer eye on him and didn't allow him to talk to the neighbors, let alone go out.
The reason they were being particularly nasty to him at the moment was that during the first week of the holidays Uncle Vernon had received a call from a wizard named Ron Weasley.
After that, Harry had no more calls, including from Hermione.
He thought Ron must have told Hermione something.
He did his homework by prying open the lock of the storage room and secretly taking out a few books while the Dursleys were in the garden admiring the new car that Uncle Vernon's company had bought for him.
Otherwise, when the next semester starts, Professor Snape will have an excuse to put him in detention for a month.
Harry bit his quill and thought, Xingchen should be back soon, right? She went to Edinburgh, Scotland the day after she returned home, but she said she would come back to celebrate his birthday with him.
This was the only thing he looked forward to during his extremely boring summer vacation.
Su Xingchen was so generous that he rented a luxurious manor in Edinburgh. It had a beautiful view, was low-key and luxurious, and most importantly, was full of spiritual energy.
She had said she would treat Draco to lunch during the holidays, but it definitely wouldn't be at Privet Drive. She could well imagine what a hellish scene it would be if he and Harry met at Privet Drive.
Edinburgh was a good choice, after all, there were so many castles and manors of all sizes here, and she guessed that there might be more than one person coming.
As expected, Lucius Malfoy, who was "worried about his son going out alone", also came.
Su Xingchen secretly felt relieved that this was just her guess.
Although she didn't have to establish such a personality, it was good to make Mr. Malfoy feel intimidated. It could occasionally help Harry and the others and save them a lot of trouble.
For this, she only needs to pay a small amount of money. She has a lot of this.
During lunch, Lucius Malfoy asked her with deep suspicion why she lived in the Muggle world. Su Xingchen bluntly said that she was kicked out by her family to gain experience.
Being kicked out and being kicked out to gain experience are two completely different things.
At least Lucius would never let Draco go out alone to gain experience, unless he didn't care about his son's life or death or could completely guarantee his son's safety.
Faced with the little girl's innocent face, Lucius chose the latter.
A pleasant lunch ended like this. Before leaving, Lucius Malfoy sincerely invited Su Xingchen to visit Malfoy Manor when he was free.
She agreed with a smile, since it was her decision whether she was free or not.
Originally, Cedric and Su Xingchen were planning to resolve the dispute in Edinburgh, but after thinking about it carefully, they felt that such a big fuss would only be needed in front of Mr. Malfoy. Calling Cedric here seemed a bit pretentious.
Then we'll save that meal for Privet Drive.
It's time for her to practice. No matter how small a mosquito is, it's still meat.
Harry walked through the dark room to the large window. The house diagonally opposite was still shrouded in darkness.
He leaned against the windowsill, the cool evening breeze blowing on his face. Tomorrow was his birthday.
Harry was in a daze until a car drove silently into the street and stopped in front of the house diagonally opposite, which made his heart beat abnormally.
He was very familiar with the person who got out of the back seat. As if she had sensed something, she looked back and waved at him with a smile when she saw him.
The sound of "Ding, ding, ding" came from the living room, and it was twelve o'clock midnight.
He turns thirteen today, and it couldn't be a better gift.
On his birthday, July 31st, Harry Potter deliberately angered his Uncle Vernon and was locked up in his room early.
While his aunt and her family were having dinner in the restaurant, he used the wand Hedwig had brought him from across the street this morning, cast a spell, quietly opened the door, put on his invisibility cloak, and walked across.
Everything he cared about was there.
Harry had a happy second birthday. He received gifts from Su Xingchen, Ron, Hermione and Hagrid. His favorite was the flying broom care set.
The remaining weeks of vacation finally felt less difficult.
Su Xingchen wrote a letter to Cedric, and he expressed regret in his reply that he would go to Quidditch training in the next few days. If possible, he would like to taste the delicious food she made in the next semester.
Su Xingchen was very upset. Her plan had failed. She had originally planned to cook one or two dishes herself and let Agui prepare the others.
But then I thought, how much can Cedric eat? After all, if she said it was delicious, it didn't mean that she cooked it. If it tasted bad, it wouldn't be her fault.
Another thing was that she looked at a form sent by Hogwarts, which stated that third-year students could visit Hogsmeade on weekends.
It seems that Harry won't have to stay in school alone this time.
One evening when it was drizzling, there was a brief noise from the house across the street, and then a balloon that screamed floated out from inside.
Su Xingchen patted her head. It seemed that it was time to flip through her booklet again.
She stood at the windowsill of the second-floor room and soon saw Harry pulling his huge suitcase angrily away from the Dursleys' house.
Su Xingchen thought Harry would come to find her, but he glanced in the direction of her house, paused for two seconds, and then walked out without hesitation, pulling the suitcase.
Su Xingchen was stunned for a moment, then curled the corners of his mouth slightly. He had a really strong sense of self-esteem.
It’s better to go and see him, after all, his parents were insulted by that “balloon”.
Even though the rain had stopped, the sky darkened quickly. Soon it was pitch black, with only the dim light of the street lamps on the quiet streets.
Harry dragged the heavy box in one hand and Hedwig's cage in the other, and walked several streets angrily, not noticing that Su Xingchen was following him, just a dozen meters away from him.
Until he was so tired that he was out of breath and collapsed on a low wall covered with magnolias.
Harry sat down on the ground and didn't move.
After sitting alone on the dark street for ten minutes, a new emotion took hold of him: nervousness.
He was wandering alone in the Muggle world, with nowhere to go. He had no money, Muggle money of course, and he might be taken away by the Muggle police.
Worst of all, he had committed a serious violation of the Underage Wizarding Conduct Act, which meant he was almost certain to be expelled from Hogwarts.
Originally, Su Xingchen wanted to leave Harry alone, but when she noticed that he seemed to be trembling, she walked forward.
Small but clear footsteps reached his ears, and Harry gradually became afraid. His wand was still in the box.
"Harry." Su Xingchen said.
"Stars?" Harry stood up suddenly, his emerald green eyes looking moist and reflected through the lenses, revealing a rare helplessness and hesitation.
"I'm going to be fired."
Su Xingchen reached out and ruffled Harry's messy hair, and smiled softly, "No."
"You don't know, I..."
"I know."
Harry looked at Su Xingchen's determined face in surprise, "You will not be expelled."
"Really?" Although he knew it was almost impossible, Harry still wanted to believe it. Perhaps it was the hand above his head that gave him strength.
"Yeah." Su Xingchen nodded affirmatively.
Although thirteen-year-old Harry has grown a lot taller in the past two years at Hogwarts, he is still thin and small compared to his peers, and is about the same height as her. You know, she is notoriously short among her classmates.
He complained countless times that no matter how he fiddled with his hair, it was always a mess and couldn't be tame.
Su Xingchen rubbed it twice more and smiled.
The unruly hair is just like its unruly owner. Moreover, it is just messy, not dirty.
She pulled her hand back, "Where are you going?"
Harry thought for a moment. "The Leaky Cauldron."
Su Xingchen nodded and said, "I'll come to see you tomorrow."
"Okay." Harry felt warm.
She probably didn't know what was going on, but she seemed to know everything.
No pity, no sympathy, no questioning, just telling him that I would come to him.
This is fine, he doesn't want Xingchen's pity and sympathy.
Harry suddenly felt a strange tingling in his neck and felt that someone or something was approaching.
Then he saw a big black guy with a pair of bright eyes walking out from between the opposite wall and the garage.
Harry took an involuntary step back, his feet hitting the box, tripping and falling heavily to the ground.
"Harry?" Su Xingchen quickly helped him up. How could this child fall down while standing on his own?
"Xingchen, have you seen..."
Su Xingchen turned around, but there was nothing behind him.
But she knew what Harry saw—Sirius, Black.
