HP Star Shining
Chapter 27
"Can someone tell me what's going on?"
Su Xingchen's voice was gentle and soft, but it made a snapping sound in Draco's heart, which frightened him.
"I told you not to pay attention to him. Malfoy is not a good person!" Ron yelled, of course not at Su Xingchen.
"I'm just stating the facts." Draco glared at Weasley. How dare he say such things to Xingchen!
"Shut up, Malfoy." Harry blanched.
"What's going on? What's going on?" Gerald Lockhart walked quickly towards them. "Who's handing out autographed photos?"
"Signed photo?" Su Xingchen was puzzled. What was the plot?
Harry opened his mouth to explain, but Lockhart clamped him down and shouted cheerfully, "Don't ask! We meet again, Harry."
"Come on, Mr. Creevey," Lockhart said, smiling broadly. "A photo of us together is a great bargain. We'll both sign for you."
Harry, sandwiched next to Lockhart, felt a fever of shame all over his body. He saw Malfoy triumphantly retreat from the crowd.
Colin clumsily raised his camera and pressed the shutter button as the school bell rang.
It’s over. He couldn’t explain it clearly. Would Xingchen also think that he was an arrogant and vain person?
Seeing the little boy holding the camera, Su Xingchen had never seen him before, but she understood him. Although she couldn't remember his name, she knew that the boy was a die-hard fan of Harry and was petrified later.
"Let's go, let's go to class." Lockhart shouted to the crowd, then walked towards the castle with Harry under his arm.
Harry wished he had a clever Vanishing Charm at this point.
"A word of advice, Harry. I covered for you with young Creevey. He filmed both of us. So your classmates wouldn't think you were so conceited..."
Lockhart carried him down a corridor filled with students and up the stairs, all staring at them in amazement.
"Listen, it's unwise for you to send out autographed photos right now. Honestly, it seems a bit arrogant. One day you'll be carrying around a stack of photos like me, but..." He chuckled. "I don't think you're ready for that yet."
"Professor Lockhart, I think you should put Harry down first. Can't you see that he is about to vomit?" Su Xingchen really couldn't bear to listen anymore.
That's right, Su Xingchen already knew that Lockhart was not good at magic, so how could she feel at ease watching him take away the unhappy Harry, so she followed them all the time, but she didn't notice because Lockhart kept chattering.
Lockhart turned around and his eyes lit up when he saw Su Xingchen. He let go of Harry and straightened his clothes.
"Where did this little beauty come from?" Lockhart showed his signature smile and shining teeth.
Su Xingchen felt like he was going blind. "I am your student, professor."
"I didn't know there was a girl as beautiful as you in Hogwarts. Wait, I think I've seen you before..."
Su Xingchen was surprised. When had they met before? She had always been trying to avoid him.
Lockhart snapped his fingers, thinking of something. "Flourish and Blotts, book signing."
He spotted the unique little beauty in the crowd that day, but unfortunately, the little beauty never came up to sign.
Lockhart took two steps towards Su Xingchen. "Are you also a fan of my books? Why didn't you come to ask me for an autograph? If I had known earlier, I would have given you a whole set."
"I just went to the bookstore to buy books that day."
"It's time for class, Professor." Seeing that Lockhart was still about to approach Su Xingchen, Harry quickly stood in front of him.
"Oh, yes." Lockhart winked at Su Xingchen before leaving. "I have a feeling we're going to have a wonderful teaching time."
You think too much!
"Stars."
"Are you okay Harry? You don't look well."
"I am fine."
Harry wanted to explain, but Xingchen kept following him. Lockhart had said so much, so she wouldn't think that he was really as arrogant and conceited as Lockhart said, the kind of person who gave out autographed photos.
"What do you want to say?"
"I...I'm different from Lockhart. I've never thought about what he said."
Su Xingchen saw Harry's face turning pale and red, so she put her hand on his forehead. When she felt that his body temperature was normal, she put her hand down again.
"You don't have a fever, why are you talking nonsense?"
"Harry." Su Xingchen looked at him seriously.
"Of course you're different from him. Don't I know what kind of person you are? I'm your good friend. Or do you just not trust me?"
"No." Harry said anxiously.
"So what are you worried about? Besides, I don't think it's a bad thing."
Su Xingchen curled his lips. "At least it proves that you are good enough in some aspects, so people like you and want your autographed photo, right? If someone also wants an autographed photo of me, I would be so happy."
Facing Su Xingchen's pure gaze, Harry's tense nerves gradually relaxed.
"you're right."
"Let's go into the classroom for class." Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief. What a naughty kid, with such an ugly face, she thought something was wrong. Are kids nowadays so sensitive?
Harry and Su Xingchen went to the classroom together. He tilted his head slightly and looked at her profile carefully.
He discovered that Su Xingchen was also a little liar. He was obviously afraid of trouble, but he still said that he would be happy if someone wanted his autograph.
However, he didn't mind Su Xingchen's little lie at all.
On the contrary, he... liked it very much.
They sat down next to Ron and Hermione.
"Harry, you could fry an egg on your face," Ron exclaimed. "You'd better pray Creevey doesn't run into Ginny, or I doubt they'll set up a Harry Potter fan club."
"Don't talk nonsense." Harry said hurriedly.
He was not afraid of Su Xingchen misunderstanding, but he was afraid that Lockhart would hear it.
On the first day of Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Su Xingchen was forced to listen to Lockhart's self-boasting for half the class and also fill out a test paper on Lockhart's various preferences and wishes.
Only Hermione scored 100 points, adding 10 points to Gryffindor's score.
After the test, Lockhart took out an iron cage filled with Cornish pixies.
Everyone was laughing. Su Xingchen remembered that these blue elves had caused quite a bit of trouble, and Lockhart couldn't control them at all, so he had already grasped his wand in his hand.
"Well, let me see how you handle them," Lockhart said loudly, opening the cage door.
Now everything is in chaos, the elves are flying everywhere like rockets.
Two of them grabbed Neville's ears and lifted him up, a few others scattered broken glass all over the back of the classroom, and the rest wreaked havoc in the classroom, splashing ink everywhere, tearing papers and books into pieces, pulling down stickers on the wall, pushing over bookshelves, and throwing bags and books out of the windows.
In just two minutes, more than half of the students were hiding under the tables, and only Neville was swinging on the chandelier.
"Just some little elves, watch me."
He rolled up his sleeves and waved his wand, "Pesky Pixie Pestenomi!"
However, it was completely ineffective, and Lockhart's wand was thrown out of the window by an elf, which scared him so much that he immediately hid under the table.
When an elf tried to snatch Su Xingchen's wand, she cast a freezing spell on the elf in the classroom according to what Hermione did in her memory.
A dazzling blue light flashed, and all the elves in the classroom were frozen in mid-air.
Seeing this, Lockhart jumped out from under the table. "Wow, Miss Su did a great job. See? It's very simple. Ten points for Gryffindor. Of course, this is easy for me. I just want to give you some practice."
As soon as Lockhart finished speaking, the bell rang. Su Xingchen packed up his books expressionlessly and left the classroom without waiting for him to say goodbye.
Seeing this, Harry immediately followed.
"Then..." Lockhart pretended to be calm, "get out of class dismissed."
"Xingchen, don't be angry."
"I am not angry."
Although Su Xingchen said so, Harry had never seen her walk so confidently.
Su Xingchen was really annoyed. She didn't feel that way when she watched the movie before, but when she was in the movie herself, she found that Lockhart was so irresponsible that he put his students in danger time and time again.
Ron and Hermione caught up. "Do you still believe him?" Ron shouted. He had been bitten on the ear by an elf and it hurt.
"He just wanted to give us some practice," Hermione argued.
"Practice? He has no idea what he's doing!"
"Nonsense, you've all read his books, think about what he did—"
"That's what he said he did," muttered Ron.
Su Xingchen turned around abruptly. "Ron is right this time, Hermione. He's a liar. Think about it, he can't even deal with elves."
"But……"
Su Xingchen turned around and continued walking forward. She didn't want to listen to Hermione's defense for Lockhart. Anyway, she couldn't understand the train of thought of those star-chasing girls.
For the next few days, Harry avoided Lockhart whenever he saw him, and even harder to avoid was Colin Creevey, to whom he would say "Hello, Colin" five or six times a day.
Hermione was clearly still lost in Lockhart's world, often reading a book. Hedwig was still fuming over the disastrous car trip, and Ron's wand was still acting up; it had flown from his hand on Friday morning and struck Professor Flitwick between the eyebrows, producing a large, pulsating green cell.
On Saturday morning, Su Xingchen sat lazily in the stands of the Quidditch field, basking in the sun.
Yesterday, Draco insisted that she come here today. Su Xingchen thought that Harry seemed to have to go to Quidditch training today, so she agreed.
This will prevent any trouble from happening when the two of them meet.
The warm sunlight was blocked by a shadow. Su Xingchen opened his eyes drowsily and a handsome face came into view.
"Hi, Cedric."
Cedric sat down next to Su Xingchen, "Why are you here alone?"
Hermione and the other Lockhart girls were discussing the contents of the book with each other, and Ron was still fiddling with his wand in the common room.
Su Xingchen originally came to the stadium with Harry. No one knew what the Gryffindor team was doing. They had been in for more than an hour and had not come out yet. The time agreed with Draco had not arrived yet. Now he was alone.
