HP Star Shining
Chapter 19
The three of them hadn't taken a few steps when a plaintive voice came from behind them, "Why didn't you call me?"
Ron looked at the intimate trio in front of him with great resentment. He also wanted to hold hands with Xingchen...
Su Xingchen and Hermione giggled, "Come on, Ron."
Harry said that he had genuinely forgotten Ron was still in the dorms.
This morning, it seemed as if something had changed, yet it also seemed as if nothing had changed.
There are still ten weeks until the exam, and Hermione has already started intensive review.
Unfortunately, teachers think the same way and assign tons of homework every day.
The Easter holiday was not as relaxing and fun as the Christmas holiday. With Hermione supervising, the few of them spent most of their time in the library.
"I'll never remember this!" Ron couldn't stand it anymore. He threw down his quill and looked out the window.
The sky was clear and bright, as blue as the forget-me-nots, and there was a hint of the coming summer in the air.
"Be patient, Ron." Su Xingchen calmly turned a page of the novel in his hand.
"Why don't you need to review?" Luo leaned weakly on the table, while Harry was still buried in the book looking for "Baixian".
"If you can remember everything in the textbook like Xingchen, then you don't need to review."
"Yeah." Su Xingchen nodded, "Hermione is right."
I don’t know if it’s because he was transformed by spiritual energy, but in this life, Su Xingchen can basically remember everything he has read after just one time. If not, he will definitely be able to remember it after two or three times.
But this does not mean that Su Xingchen loves studying. Most books in the magical world are profound and difficult to understand. English is not her native language, and she still feels dizzy when reading professional books.
In fact, Su Xingchen wanted to sleep in the dormitory, but Hermione didn't allow her, so she had to read a novel next to her.
"Hey..." Ron said dejectedly, and suddenly caught sight of Hagrid. "Hagrid, why are you here?"
"Just looking around," Hagrid said evasively.
"It just so happens that we have a few things we want to ask you about the mechanism guarding the Philosopher's Stone and Fluffy..." said Harry.
"Hush!" Hagrid glanced around quickly. "Listen, come find me later. I didn't promise you anything. There are some things you students shouldn't know."
An hour later, several people knocked on the door of the gamekeeper's cottage.
The heat in the cabin was stifling.
Hagrid carefully lifted a dark-baked egg from the stove.
"It's coming out soon."
The egg lay on the table, with a deep crack on it and something moving inside.
Suddenly, there was a sharp scraping sound and the egg broke.
A little fire dragon was staggering and flapping on the table. It sneezed, spraying out a string of scattered sparks.
"Hagrid, that's a dragon!" Hermione exclaimed. "Where did you get it? It's illegal to keep a dragon privately."
"It's beautiful, isn't it? I decided to call it Norbert." Hagrid muttered, reaching out a hand to touch the Charmander's head. The Charmander bit him, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth.
"This is what I won from a bet." Hagrid blew on his fingers, and when he looked up at the window, his face suddenly turned pale.
"Someone is peeping!"
Harry rushed to the door and looked.
He would never mistake that figure from behind; it was Malfoy!
"Hagrid, you can't keep him forever. He'll grow up very fast." Harry raised his voice involuntarily, "and Malfoy might go to Dumbledore at any time."
"I know, but I can't bear to part with it. I can't just throw it away like this."
"Charlie." Harry looked at Ron.
"Are you confused? I'm Ron."
"No, I mean, we could send it to your brother Charlie. Isn't he studying dragons in Romania?"
"You're right!" Ron jumped up. "Hagrid, what do you think?"
Hagrid finally agreed that they should send an owl to ask first.
The next week was like a year. Harry and Ron wore the Invisibility Cloak every day to help Hagrid feed Norbert. Ron's hand was bitten and swollen badly, so he had to stay in the hospital.
Fortunately, they received a reply from Charlie and agreed to transport the dragon away on Saturday.
On Saturday night, the three of them came to Hagrid's hut. Hagrid said goodbye to Norbert reluctantly, and Harry and Hermione carried the box containing Norbert to the tower.
Su Xingchen wanted to help, but Harry's invisibility cloak could only cover two people and a box. Hermione asked Su Xingchen to go back to the lounge and wait because she felt that Su Xingchen did not look like he could lift the box.
Su Xingchen waited until midnight. When Harry and Hermione came back, they looked extremely depressed, followed by Neville who was sobbing and looking aggrieved.
Su Xingchen was startled and quickly asked them what was going on.
After Harry and Hermione sent the dragon away, they accidentally forgot their invisibility cloak in the tower and were caught by Filch. Neville overheard someone say that Harry had hidden the dragon and was going to report them, so he sneaked out to remind them.
In short, all three were caught and each was deducted 50 points by Professor McGonagall.
Su Xingchen was speechless. As the protagonist... life is always full of ups and downs.
Harry lay awake all night, dreading the dawn, unsure how to make amends, and unsure what the Gryffindors would do when they found out their scores.
Neville had been crying too.
The next day, when the Gryffindor students passed by the huge hourglass used to calculate their scores, they all thought they had seen it wrong. How could they have scored a full 150 points less than yesterday?
They soon found out that the famous Harry Potter, two-time Quidditch hero, and two other first-year students were responsible for the loss of so many points that they came in last place.
Harry, who was once one of the most popular people in the academy, suddenly became the target of public criticism.
Even the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students gave him a cold shoulder because they always wanted to see Slytherin lose the house cup.
People often pointed fingers at him, and sometimes they would deliberately say something sarcastic and loud when he passed by.
Even during training his teammates wouldn't talk to him. If they had to call his name, they would call Seeker, which made Quidditch less fun.
Harry even thought about quitting the Quidditch team, but unfortunately Wood disagreed.
Hermione and Neville were a little better off. They weren't as famous as Harry, but no one talked to them either.
At this time, the only ones still standing by their side were Ron and Su Xingchen.
Harry calmed down a lot, no longer thinking about snooping this or spying on that. He was now very happy that the exam was coming up, and he buried himself in reviewing every day to forget these worries.
Hermione no longer showed up in public, always keeping her head down and studying quietly.
Thanks to Su Xingchen's good popularity, when she is around, those who speak ill of Harry will always restrain themselves and not be so unscrupulous.
Some people also advised Su Xingchen to stay away from them, but of course she refused.
Now, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Su Xingchen always stayed together alone, reviewing until late at night every day. The three of them tried hard to memorize complicated potion formulas, spells and incantations, major magical inventions and dates of goblin rebellions.
Su Xingchen was too embarrassed to slack off, so he was forced to join the army of students who were studying hard.
One night a week before the exam, because Harry and Hermione were reluctant to go to the Great Hall, Ron and Su Xingchen always took out food and they found a quiet place to eat together. Fortunately, the weather was no longer cold.
"I forgot the apple pie," Ron rued.
"You go back and get it, I'll go first." Su Xingchen kept declining their desserts.
"Do you know the way?"
"Ron, we go there every day." Su Xingchen glared at Ron, "And there are no forks in the road, just go straight from here."
"I'm just worried you'd get lost."
"Go quickly."
Ron went back to get the apple pie he had been longing for, and Su Xingchen carried the basket in her hand and walked towards the courtyard where they had recently eaten.
The basket was a bit heavy, and Su Xingchen was afraid the children wouldn't have enough to eat, so she always filled it up. When she was tired and was about to change her hand, the basket was taken away.
"Draco?"
Draco took the food basket from Su Xingchen's hand and followed her without saying a word, but his face looked very unhappy.
What’s rare is that there are no two big tails following him today.
"Goyle and Crabbe are not following you today?" Su Xingchen joked.
Draco still didn't respond, and Su Xingchen curled his lips.
What's wrong with kids these days? She didn't seem to have offended this young master, and she hasn't reached puberty yet, so she shouldn't be so moody, right? She didn't seem to be this emotional before.
"Why are you still willing to stay with Potter and the others?" Draco pursed his lips. "He is disliked by everyone."
Su Xingchen turned her head to look at him, and Draco noticed that she also turned her gaze to meet hers, looking quite unconvinced.
Su Xingchen was full of questions, but he still explained.
“I won’t like something just because others like it, nor will I dislike something just because others dislike it.”
"Isn't it because he is Harry Potter? The famous Harry Potter."
"What kind of weird question is that?" Su Xingchen curled his lips. "Of course not, he's my friend, as are you, Ron, and Hermione. Are you all famous people?"
Of course, Su Xingchen couldn't abandon them. Putting aside the protagonist, Harry could be considered her savior.
Draco frowned, unwilling to be compared with Weasley and that Mudblood by Su Xingchen.
But he didn't say it, because he intuitively felt that if he said it, Su Xingchen would be angry, really angry.
"If it were me, would you do the same?"
Su Xingchen didn't understand what Draco meant.
"If one day, I am the one who is hated and abandoned by everyone, will you stand by me like you do to Potter now?"
Su Xingchen blinked his eyes. What was going on?
"You won't have that day." Young master, your life is not that eventful.
"Will you?" But Draco was determined to get an answer.
Su Xingchen nodded. "I will, just like I did to Harry and the others. You see, they and I are friends. They... uh, don't like you very much, but I haven't stayed away from you because of that, right?"
