When was the last time Su Xingchen showed this expression and said the same words?

Oh, by the way, it was a good thing that she told Professor McGonagall that she was caught riding a broom without permission.

Go ahead, Harry thought.

The library was eerie and pitch black.

Harry held the Invisibility Cloak over his head with one hand, and with the other hand held the oil lamp to illuminate the titles of the books on the bookshelf, searching non-stop.

Where was Su Xingchen? One hand grasped the invisibility cloak, the other tightly grasped the hem of Harry's clothes.

She was so upset that she almost couldn't even cry. She had never expected that an empty and dark library at night could be so creepy, just like in a horror movie.

Following Harry's light, Su Xingchen saw that some of the books were already worn out, and some were stained with old blood.

She didn't know if it was her imagination, but there were occasional faint whispers coming from the bookshelves around her, which made her hair stand on end.

Su Xingchen wanted to ask Harry if he heard it, but seeing that he looked a little scared, she decided not to ask so as not to scare the child.

She really admired Harry for having the guts to come here alone, and she wanted to show her respect to him.

Harry didn't know what was going on in Su Xingchen's mind. He handed the lamp to Su Xingchen, took out a large black and silver book with great effort, and opened it.

A deafening scream echoed throughout the empty library.

Harry was so scared that he staggered a few steps and accidentally knocked over the lamp in Su Xingchen's hand.

Even though Su Xingchen had been mentally prepared, she had never imagined that a book could scream so miserably.

Both of them were a little panicked.

Hearing footsteps in the corridor, Harry quickly stuffed the book into the bookshelf and ran away with Su Xingchen.

The two ran so fast that they almost bumped into Filch at the door, but fortunately he didn't see them.

Running around Filch and down the corridor, Harry suddenly stopped beside a suit of armor and pricked up his ears.

"Professor, look, there are students in the restricted area." Filch shook the broken lamp in his hand.

"Then they must be nearby."

It's Snape! And the voice is getting closer.

Harry didn't know why he stopped. Snape and Filch were about to turn the corner, and the corridor was very narrow, so they would bump into each other.

He cautiously backed towards the wall, felt the door on the left and found it was slightly open, then pulled Su Xingchen sideways and went in.

It was really thrilling. Harry leaned against the wall and took a deep breath, listening to the footsteps outside the corridor gradually fading away.

"Harry, come and see."

Harry followed Su Xingchen's voice and found that this seemed to be an abandoned classroom, filled with desks and chairs, and an overturned trash can.

There is a mirror in the center of the room, a very grand mirror.

After taking a few steps forward, he almost screamed out.

Behind him in the mirror stood a very beautiful woman with long crimson hair and the same emerald green eyes as his. Next to the woman stood a tall, thin man wearing glasses and with the same black hair as his.

"Mom?" Harry whispered. "Dad?"

The two people in the mirror looked at him affectionately, smiled and nodded.

Harry looked at his parents for the first time in his life.

He pressed his hands against the glass, staring at them hungrily.

Harry felt a sharp pain in his heart, half joy and half sadness.

"Harry." Seeing that he was almost stuffing himself into the mirror, Su Xingchen had to speak.

Harry came back to his senses and remembered that Su Xingchen was still beside him. He said excitedly, "Xingchen, come and see! My mom and dad!"

Su Xingchen shook his head, "I didn't see it."

"How could that be? They're right here. Come over here!" Harry pulled Su Xingchen to the center of the mirror. "Do you see it?"

Harry looked so happy that Su Xingchen couldn't bear to break his fantasy. She certainly knew what this mirror could see.

"Harry, I didn't see it."

"How is that possible? They are clearly here!" Harry seemed very anxious.

Su Xingchen felt a little distressed seeing him like this. No matter how much he was the protagonist, he was just an eleven-year-old child.

"I really didn't see it." Su Xingchen said seriously, "Do you want to know what I saw in the mirror?"

"What do you see?"

Su Xingchen glanced sideways in the mirror and said, "I see my family standing behind me."

Harry was silent, his mouth slightly open in surprise.

“So it’s a mirror that you can use to look at your family.”

"No, Harry." Su Xingchen looked carefully at himself in the mirror and behind him... Grandpa Su, Dad Su, Mom Su and Brother Su.

"I think it's a mirror that reflects our deepest desires. You've never seen your mom and dad, so you see them. And I... I see my family."

Su Xingchen lowered his eyes and stopped looking at the mirror.

For a moment, neither of them spoke, and silence filled the air.

After a while, there seemed to be a sound in the corridor. Su Xingchen patted Harry's shoulder and said, "We should go."

Harry looked back every few steps and finally left reluctantly.

The next day, Harry wanted to go to the mirror again, but Su Xingchen refused to go, so Harry asked Ron to go with him.

Ron said he saw himself becoming Head Boy and Quidditch Captain.

Harry looked at his parents behind him and felt that what Su Xingchen said might be right, but he couldn't bear to do it.

The weather was still cold and the snow hadn't melted yet, so the three of them huddled in the lounge.

"Play chess?" Ron asked Harry.

"Do not want to."

"Then let's go see Hagrid."

"No, you go."

"I know what you're thinking, Harry. Stop thinking about that mirror. Seriously, please don't go there again."

Harry didn't comment, with only one thought in his mind, and returned to the mirror.

Su Xingchen held the book in his hand and listened quietly to the conversation between the two.

In the evening, Harry walked to the mirror alone and sat down.

"There you go again, Harry."

Harry froze, feeling as if he had been frozen.

The person sitting at the table by the wall was none other than the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore.

"So, like hundreds of others before you, you have discovered the joys of the Mirror of Erised." Dumbledore slid down from the table.

"I didn't know it was called that, Professor."

"It allowed you and Xingchen to see their families, and Ron saw himself becoming Head Boy."

"How do you know?"

"I don't need the Invisibility Cloak to become invisible," Dumbledore said gently. "The happiest person in the world can use the Mirror of Erised as a normal mirror. Do you understand what I mean? It allows us to see only what we desire most deeply. You and Xingchen have seen your family. Ron Weasley has always been dwarfed by his brothers, so he sees himself as the best among them."

"Yet this mirror cannot teach us knowledge, it cannot give us facts, and people waste their time in front of it, becoming obsessed with what they see, and even going crazy."

Harry thought silently for a moment, "The stars say the same thing. They reflect the desires of our hearts."

"That's very good. Your friend is much more sober and rational than you." Dumbledore smiled and raised his eyebrows. "In fact, it was she who told me that I would meet you here tonight."

"The mirror is going to be removed soon, Harry. Please don't try to find it. If you happen to come across it someday, be prepared for the fact that it will be of no use to you to dwell on illusions and forget the realities. Remember that. Now, put on your marvelous Invisibility Cloak and go back to bed."

When Harry returned to the common room, Su Xingchen was waiting for him by the fireplace.

"You're back?"

"Yeah." Harry looked at Su Xingchen, his heart was in a mess, with gratitude and approval, but also anger and annoyance.

Su Xingchen saw the child's complicated thoughts and didn't want to explain too much. Anyway, his actions seemed a bit excessive.

But as for the male protagonist, he will eventually think it through and come to his senses.

After this incident, the two of them seemed the same as before, but there seemed to be an invisible film between them, and they unconsciously became a little distant.

However, Draco Malfoy came to find Su Xingchen as soon as he returned to school, asking her how her vacation was and whether she liked the Christmas gift he gave her. He also brought Su Xingchen a back-to-school gift, which made her feel embarrassed.

Hermione returned to school the day before term started. She was shocked that Harry had been wandering outside for three consecutive nights, and regretted that she had not found any news about Nicolas Flamel.

Listening to Hermione's chatter, Harry always felt that he must have seen the name Nicolas Flamel somewhere.

The new semester has begun, and Harry's Quidditch training has become more intense and rigorous.

He also has some bad news: the referee of the next game will be Snape!

Hermione and Ron, who kept coming up with bad ideas, suggested that he break his leg and not attend, but Neville came bounding into the common room.

His two legs were stuck together tightly, and it was obvious that someone had cast a leg-locking spell on him.

Everyone laughed, except Hermione and Su Xingchen. Hermione jumped over and cast a breaking spell on Neville, and his legs were immediately untied.

"What's going on?" Hermione brought Neville in front of them.

"It was Goyle. I met them outside the library. He said he wanted to find someone to practice with." Neville said tremblingly.

"Malfoy must be here too. Goyle and Crabbe always follow Malfoy." Hermione was certain and Neville nodded.

"It must be Malfoy's doing," said Ron.

Su Xingchen was stunned. Well, this prejudice was as deep as the Mariana Trench. She weakly retorted, "But... Neville said it was Goyle."

"Everyone knows that Goyle and Crabbe are Malfoy's followers and follow his instructions. He hates Gryffindor the most. I think you'd better stay away from him!" Ron started to talk to Su Xingchen again with the same old stuff, and he spoke seriously.

Harry pulled a Chocolate Frog from his robe pocket and handed it to Neville, who looked like he was about to cry.

Neville unwrapped the chocolate frog and gave a weak smile, "Thank you, I'm going to bed... Do you want picture cards? I remember you collected them."
