Love Guide for Childhood Sweethearts

Chapter 74: There is no greater sorrow than death.

"That's a solution!" Zina's eyes lit up, then dimmed again. "No way! My mom will definitely come and ask for the money back. Then it'll be exposed, and it'll be a mess." She covered her face with her hands and choked out sobs, "If everyone knew, how could I face people?"

"Is that so?" Lin Jingzhe tapped his thigh with his index finger and said, "Buy gold like me."

"Ahem..." Zina coughed twice and said, "She must have asked me to cash it out, or even took the gold directly."

"I'm talking about fixed investment." Lin Jingzhe looked at her with his beautiful peach blossom eyes and said, "Fixed investment in gold funds. If your elders come to take it back, just say you've lost money. If you withdraw it now, you'll lose a lot, a lot."

"If they lose money, they will definitely not be willing to do it." Zina's eyes lit up when she heard that.

"It's just an excuse, you can save the money yourself." Lin Jingzhe looked at her with amber eyes and said.

"It's not an excuse, I really want to." Zina looked at her with round eyes and said seriously, "You bought gold! And so much."

"Cough cough..." Lin Jingzhe was so frightened that she started coughing.

"Why did you buy gold?" Zina asked her curiously.

"With your first bonus, you have to buy something memorable! If you buy other things for food, drinks, and clothes, they'll be gone over time." Lin Jingzhe looked at her seriously with his deep, penetrating peach blossom eyes, "Gold doesn't spoil, it's valuable! And I like it."

"What about the fixed investment in gold?" Zina asked her curiously.

"Go ask the bank! I don't know the details." Lin Jingzhe blinked his bright peach blossom eyes and looked at her.

"Okay! I'll go ask the bank when it opens." Zina gritted her teeth and said with determination, "The money can't be in my hands, otherwise I won't be able to keep it."

The phone kept ringing. Lin Jingzhe pointed to the phone under the quilt and said, "You'd better answer it! I'm going to the bathroom." Then he turned and left the dormitory, returned to the lobby, and stood there to continue watching the Spring Festival Gala.

About half an hour later, Lin Jingzhe returned to the dormitory. Qi Na's eyes were as red as a rabbit's. She had just cried a lot.

Lin Jingzhe didn't want to ask too much about other people's family affairs, so he just said, "Go to sleep!"

The two of them took turns going to the bathroom to wash up briefly, turned off the lights, and went to bed.

In the darkness, Zina said with tears in her eyes, "The family business is making money."

"This is a good thing!" Lin Jingzhe said immediately after hearing this, "Isn't it great to have a decent livelihood?"

"But they are still thinking about the little money I have." Zina covered herself with the quilt and sobbed.

Lin Jingzhe opened and closed his mouth, not knowing how to comfort her. Every family has its own problems.

"I'm fine. It feels much better to say it out loud." Zina sniffed and said hoarsely, giving up. "The bank is open now. I'll go ask about gold investment."

"Is your age okay?" Lin Jingzhe suddenly remembered and asked, "It's not like the physical items I bought. I asked Coach Zhu to buy them for me." He added worriedly, "You need to sign a contract. It will be difficult if you are not an adult. The general requirement is 18 years old."

"I'm sixteen now. I was born on December 30th." Zina sniffed and said, "I'll go to the bank and ask."

"Okay!" Lin Jingzhe said gently.

"Thank you!" Zina said after calming down.

"Why are you thanking me? I didn't do anything?" Lin Jingzhe said in surprise.

"It's good to have you here." Zina said with tears in her eyes, "At least I'm not alone."

"Nothing?" Lin Jingzhe smiled and said, "Don't be sad now that there is a solution."

"No! I just want to cry." Zina said sadly, "I have been living in the school dormitory since I was a child."

"Do elementary school students also live on campus?" Lin Jingzhe said in surprise.

"Yes! It started in elementary school." Zina said with a heavy nasal voice.

"You're too young. Can you take care of yourself?" Lin Jingzhe asked with concern.

"We have a teacher! You will learn it eventually if you follow him." Zina said calmly.

"You're better than me. I just started living on campus this year." Lin Jingzhe said with a smile.

"I see you're very adaptable," Zina said in a gentle voice.

"I'm grown up! Even if I haven't eaten pork, I've still seen a pig run!" Lin Jingzhe chuckled.

"Your family is so nice. They call you every day to ask about your well-being." Zina said with a hint of envy. Unlike the phone calls at her home, they only asked for money and nothing else. They never cared about whether her training was hard or she was tired, or whether she should remember to put on more clothes when it was cold...

"This is my first time away from home, and they are really worried about me." Lin Jingzhe said gently, "So you have to train well, otherwise this trip away from home will be in vain." He comforted her, "Are you sleepy?"

"You're sleepy, so go to sleep!" Zina said after hearing that.

Zina thought she would not be able to sleep because of this terrible thing, but she ended up sleeping so soundly that she even snored.

I am completely heartbroken and have let it go!

The two of them slept until dawn. Lin Jingzhe checked the time on his phone and said, "It's past eight o'clock. The sun is really shining on my butt."

The phone didn't ring, it seemed like he didn't want to be disturbed.

Lin Jingzhe first sent a New Year's greeting text message to the Lin family.

"Are we still going for a morning run?" Zina said as she sat up and put on her clothes.

"It's eight o'clock. Has the cafeteria closed for breakfast?" Lin Jingzhe put on his clothes and got out of bed.

"That's right!" Zina followed down and said, "Hurry up and wash up, then go to the cafeteria first."

They washed their faces and brushed their teeth, cleaned themselves up, took their meal cards and hurried to the cafeteria.

"Ding-ling-ling..." the cell phone rang.

Lin Jingzhe picked up the phone from his chest and looked at the caller ID. "I'll make a call first."

"Go!" Zina said with a smile.

Lin Jingzhe pressed the answer button, "Happy New Year, Mom."

"Happy New Year." Lin's mother said happily, "Have you eaten?"

"I got up late and am now preparing to go to the cafeteria." Lin Jingzhe said with a smile in his peach blossom eyes.

"Getting up late? No morning run?" Lin's mother asked in surprise.

"No, I slept in today." Lin Jingzhe said embarrassedly, "Mainly because it gets light late and the dormitory building is very quiet, so..." He smiled awkwardly.

"It's late, it's New Year's Day!" Lin's mother said cheerfully, "It's a whole year! How can we be like a machine?"

"What time did you come back yesterday?" Lin Jingzhe changed the subject.

"Oh! We're almost home." Lin's mother smiled and said, "I heard that Xingzhi and the others went to set off fireworks for you, but were chased by the police."

"No, no, the police are chasing someone else." Lin Xingzhi refused to admit it and shouted into the phone.

"Fortunately, they are smart, otherwise your father and I would have to go to the police station to rescue him on New Year's Eve." Lin's mother laughed.
