Chapter 969: Rebirth in the Void and the Ultimate Rift That Cannot Be Traced

Rebirth in the void and the ultimate rift that cannot be traced

Feng Jing's consciousness once again sank into absolute nothingness. He tried to think, but his thoughts seemed to be cut off at that moment. Past, present, and future were no longer concepts he could comprehend. The scene before him completely transcended his perception. Everything in existence had become unreality, without even any rules or laws to rely on. He saw that he was no longer a living being, but some undefinable existence.

Feng Jing no longer had a form, no boundaries, not even the concept of "himself." He drifted in an endless chaos, as if cast into a void without time, space, or matter. Countless shimmering points of light filled his surroundings, like fragmented stars, yet without any pattern, completely unregulated by any law.

These points of light passed through Feng Jing's consciousness, some vanishing, some suddenly growing immensely, and some flashing forth a brilliant light. Feng Jing watched as these points of light transformed into unfamiliar faces, which flashed and vanished, interweaving in an instant into countless unpredictable shapes, each representing a possible Feng Jing—perhaps himself, or perhaps another him.

"You thought you'd completely broken through all boundaries?" The voice echoed again, this time no longer indifferent, but tinged with deep contempt. "You've merely entered a larger maze. You thought you could escape, but you're only sinking deeper and deeper into the vortex of the abyss. All your efforts are an endless illusion."

Feng Jing felt an intense pressure, and his consciousness began to crumble once more. The force was too powerful to resist, surging from the void like an endless wave. He felt his existence being swallowed by layer upon layer of nothingness, as if countless time and space were being torn apart and ripped apart, ultimately becoming nothingness.

He saw a huge crack in front of him, with countless cracks crisscrossing it, and countless different worlds flashing in the cracks. Feng Jing tried to enter one of the cracks, but found that they had no end and the inside of the crack could not be filled no matter what.

Just when Feng Jing felt that he was about to collapse completely, suddenly, an unknown force descended from nothingness and began to repair the cracks, as if some incredible mysterious power was reshaping everything.

"You shouldn't be seeing this." The voice grew increasingly unclear, as if it came from far away, with a hint of complete disappearance. "What you see isn't reality, but a reflection of the abyss. You can't understand what you see before you. These scenes are merely fragments of your mind, illusions you can't escape."

Feng Jing felt his consciousness being pulled by a more powerful force, as if an invisible hand was squeezing him out of this chaos. He began to feel his form recovering, although this form no longer had a human appearance, and even no words could describe its specific appearance.

However, just as he thought he was returning to normal, Feng Jing suddenly realized that his "recovery" wasn't really a recovery, but a rebirth. His consciousness returned to a world he'd once experienced, but everything was unfamiliar. This world lacked time, space, and only countless distorted entities floating in the air. All matter and life was in a frenzy of flux, with no connection or logic between them.

Feng Jing tried to comprehend this new world, but he couldn't grasp any firm concepts. He saw a vast mechanical city suspended in the void, filled with countless living beings. Each lifeform's form shifted randomly, their identities and appearances changing moment by moment. Today you were an astronaut, tomorrow you were a mechanical component, and the day after that you were an unknown creature.

"Are you beginning to feel lost?" the voice reappeared, provocative. "All this is but an illusion within your mind, endlessly reconstructed. No matter how hard you try, you'll never escape this illusory cycle."

Feng Jing looked at everything before him, and an unprecedented anger surged in his heart. He had once longed to surpass everything, to break through himself, but now he found that the transcendence he pursued was nothing more than an infinite cycle, an endless reversal.

Just as he felt despair, Feng Jing suddenly felt an even more powerful force descend upon him. This force poured directly from the void, pouring into his consciousness like a massive tide, pulling him out of his endless cycle. Feng Jing watched the world around him begin to crumble, all the cracks, all the overlaps, all the mazes, disappearing in an instant.

He saw all of time, all of space, and all of matter begin to merge into a more primal existence. This existence was formless and immaterial, transcending all definition and perception, a state of "being" deeper than nothingness. Feng Jing was no longer an existence of any form, but an "essence" that transcended all forms.

He began to feel his consciousness merge with all the worlds. Feng Jing was no longer an independent individual, but the heartbeat of the entire universe, the movement of the entire world. His consciousness expanded to all time, space, and dimensions, becoming the origin and end of all things.

But just when Feng Jing felt he had finally broken through all boundaries, he suddenly realized that everything he had experienced was just another bigger, more outrageous illusion. Had he fallen into an even more unsolvable void?
