"What?" Princess Shen felt a chill in her heart. This sudden attack seemed like a counterattack by an external force, and it happened right after she learned the truth. Could it be that all this had been planned long ago?

"Don't panic." Princess Shen said calmly, "Quickly notify the palace guards and seal the palace gates."

After her order was issued, the palace guards immediately sprang into action. Princess Shen then hurried to the main hall, her mind rapidly calculating the evolving situation. The guards hesitated, but at Princess Shen's command, they immediately and respectfully opened the door. Princess Shen walked in and saw the emperor standing in front of the bed, his brows furrowed and a hint of anger in his eyes.

"Princess, you're here." The emperor's tone was calm, but Princess Shen detected a hint of helplessness and fatigue in his tone.

"Is the rebellion outside your plan?" Princess Shen didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point.

The emperor was silent for a moment, then finally spoke, "Yes, the intervention of external forces is unavoidable. I have no choice but to cooperate with them, otherwise, the entire palace will fall."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Princess Shen frowned. She didn't feel comforted at all by the emperor's confession. Instead, she felt that she had been kept in the dark about too many important things.

"Because you don't need to know." A gloomy flashed in the emperor's eyes. "You just need to follow my arrangements. I will take care of the rest."
