On the rewards for successfully defeating a boss
Chapter 2 Lecture
Friday morning was an elective class. Last semester, Chen Qian, Sun Cheng, and Ke Wu had agreed to take Film Appreciation together. Unfortunately, he was out of luck. With three devices in one room, only his internet connection wasn't up, so he ended up choosing Philosophy and Religion.
I've only attended a few classes, and the professor made the already profound content even more complicated. Apart from the PPT title, I didn't understand a single thing, and my notes are a mess.
When the bell rang, he put away his books in despair and followed the crowd out.

Chen Qian received a message on his cell phone. He picked up the phone and saw that it was from a junior student with whom he had a good relationship.
—Senior, help me!
Chen Qian was about to ask him what happened. But he didn't expect that after seeing the message, he called directly and asked, "Senior, are you free now?"
"What's wrong?" Chen Qian asked him.
"Do you remember the flyers I gave you last time? The event is today, and we're setting up the venue now. But something unexpected happened, and we're short on manpower. Can you come and help?"
He could almost imagine the innocent look on the opposite side of the person's face with eyes wide open. He had been planning to go and listen in the afternoon, so it shouldn't take too much time to go over early to help.
"I'm fine. I just finished class. I'm in the general building. It should take me five minutes to walk there."
"Then come quickly, I'll pick you up at the door."
After arriving at the auditorium, Chen Qian finally realized what his junior had said about the lack of manpower.
Everyone came to prepare in the morning, but up to now, only three or four people were seen busy with the arrangements, so busy that they were walking with the wind.
Qi Yu helped him sort out the materials. He looked listless and listless. "I had called a few classmates and made arrangements, but their major classes were moved to this morning, so they can't come until after midnight. It's really too late.
"Especially since we have to receive senior students who will be giving speeches this afternoon, we don't have much time to delay."
"Have you asked anyone else? Is there anyone else who can come and help?"
"Senior Sun Cheng and Brother Ke Wu said they will be here soon. Senior, the people in your dormitory are very touching." Seeing Qi Yu's eyes starting to blur, Chen Qian felt that he was about to cry to show that he was really touched. He wanted to continue comforting his junior, but there was probably no chance anymore.
Ke Wu's voice rang out from the entrance, getting closer and closer. "We're here for the dinner you invited us to, young master. We're going to rip you off this time."
Sun Cheng followed behind Ke Wu, carrying a large bag in his hand. Judging from the bulging shape of the bag, it was full of bottles and jars. It seemed that he had just bought some drinks and brought them over. He was really thoughtful.
After saying hello, Sun Cheng walked away with the bag. When he came back after distributing the drinks, Ke Wu and his junior had already left for a while, and no one knew where they went to work.
Chen Qian was debugging the multimedia, and Sun Cheng came over to help. The two chatted casually, "Junior brother is very cute. If he wasn't a boy, tall and strong, and so attached to Ke Wu, I would really suspect that they had something going on."
"Didn't we grow up together and have a very good relationship?" Chen Qian didn't stop his movements and looked at the big screen to confirm that there was no problem with the display.
I'd heard Ke Wu say before that their families were already close friends and neighbors, growing up together, and it was unexpected that they could go to the same university, which was even more coincidental. Especially since my family had told me to take good care of Qi Yu when school started.
However, Chen Qian believed that even if no one specifically told Ke Wu, he would take the initiative to take care of him. After all, the last time they talked about Qi Yu, his face was so bright and shiny that it seemed like flowers were blooming, and there was something fishy going on.
"He even asked us to help Qi Yu move his luggage when school started. He was a great help." Because of Ke Wu's relationship, their relationship with Qi Yu also improved.
But then again, when I meet Qi Yu, why do I always help with the work?
The scene was almost set up, and people who arrived later showed up one after another. After greeting everyone, they started to help clean up. Qi Yu and Ke Wu saw that most people had arrived, so they came back and invited them to have dinner together first.
The speech started at 1:30 in the afternoon. Except for Sun Cheng who went back to the dormitory after dinner as he had nothing to do, everyone else planned to go back to the auditorium.
When I came back, the clock above the auditorium had just passed 1:30. The speech had already begun. There were a few people walking around in the audience. I guess it had just started and everyone hadn't entered yet.
As a member of the Propaganda Department, Qi Yu needed to continue helping backstage. After Chen Qian and Ke Wu saw him off, they found a seat in the front row and sat down.
This kind of activity is actually not interesting and is always boring. The two people are not here to listen to the success theory sincerely, but are just bored and scrolling through their phones.
Time slipped away unknowingly, and when I came to my senses, most of the speech was over. After the host gave a brief introduction according to the script, another voice sounded.
"Hello everyone, I am Chi Mu from the 22nd class of Computer Science. I am very happy to share my stories and experiences with you today..." His deep and magnetic voice was a little distorted after passing through the loudspeaker. It was accompanied by applause from the audience and occasional exclamations, and his tone was steady.
A familiar voice caught Chen Qian's attention, and he looked away from the phone screen and upwards.
A man in a black suit was standing in the center of the stage, looking confident and generous.
It's obviously the same as before, but it feels like a lot has changed.
I haven't seen him much in the past few years since I graduated from junior high school, or even only very rarely, but it seems like every detail has been engraved in my mind, both strange and familiar.
When was the last time they met? Hmm... Chen Qian couldn't remember clearly. The thin image of the young boy emerged, overlapping with the mature man in front of him.
It’s been a long time since we last met.
Because of that face, everything else became blurry and unclear, so naturally, he couldn't listen to Chi Mu's speech.
I only remember that the crowd was very excited during every interactive session. Chen Qian didn't need to guess to know that the crowd was excited because of this face.
I subconsciously felt lucky that I was sitting very close to the front, which was a good position as I could see the people on the stage very clearly.
The hand holding the microphone, the mouth opening and closing, the eyes with a faint smile... He unconsciously began to search for adjectives he could think of, hoping to accurately describe his mood.
It's still not enough. There's no way to describe that feeling. To be more abstract, I can describe it as feeling like something warm is coming out of my pores, with faint bubbles.
Chi Mu was the finale. After he finished his speech, the host came on stage and it was over soon after.
Because they had made an appointment to have dinner together, the audience around them had mostly dispersed, but the two of them were still sitting there.
The leaders and teachers of the college took photos with everyone in front of the stage - a regular part of every event.
Chen Qian just looked at them silently, his eyes had a specific direction, but when he looked into the crowd, who would know?
He watched as the heads over there gathered together and then dispersed. After several moves, Chi Mu stood diagonally opposite Chen Qian. Everyone began to pose seriously, including him.
Chen Qian looked at it for a while and suddenly had an inexplicable feeling.
Ikemu didn't seem to be looking at the camera.
When the man opposite looked up, Chen Qian was almost looking into his eyes!
His heart skipped a beat, and Chen Qian hurriedly looked away, pretending that he was just staring at a hospital leader in the middle, whose head was shining.
When he mustered up the courage to look back again, Chi Mu was still looking at him in the same way.
Chen Qian couldn't help but follow his line of sight and found that if the angle was slightly tilted, it was actually Qi Yu who was taking the photo.
It turns out he was really looking at the camera.
I felt relieved, but also disappointed.
